Suarez 13/14 season however was only one goal contribution behind haarland playing in a side regularly with the likes of Jon Flanagan Joe Allen and aly cissokho and worth mentioning didn't score a single goal from the 12 yard spot. In my opinion suarez's 13/14 individual season will never be beaten he did anorl miss the first 5 games of the season

Availability is the best ability. Availability + world class ability , you can’t beat that. If you put suarez(no Torres) in that 2008/09 season , I think we would’ve won half of the draw matches we had that season because he always available. And if you put Torres( no suarez) in that 2013/14 season , the best we could do only top 4 because Torres will get injured

the difference between torres and suarez is only injured. torres is playing solidly for the country and club. it should also be remembered that before going to the english league, torres has faced the best defenders in spain before going to england. facing john terry, ferdinand, vidic.. this time torres makes everyone amazed to see so easily scoring goals in the English league before Suarez jumped up.. Suarez needs time in the English league before making an impact before becoming a deadly striker. So the only difference is that they are both injured. If Torres is not plagued by knee injuries, it is impossible for Messi and Ronaldo to be comfortable.. haha. .that's the fate of football players when you get injured and other players get impacted..it's normal in the world

Torres had a blistering start to his liverpool career, his plays in that 2007/08 season was just joyful to watch, in arguably his best ever season, taking the league by storm..however his stats and plays gradually decrease from then on possibly due to injuries and opposition figuring out ways to stop/slowed him…Suarez was the opposite, after a slow start to his liverpool days, he adept and gradually becomes better and better (albeit two very controversial incident involving Evra & Ivanovic)..Suarez stats would have been a lot more better had those incidents did not occur (think he missed total of 10 games bcoz of them), and ofcoz, the incident with Chiellini means that his availability for liverpool seems to be uncertain at the time, albeit not due to injuries…fast forward, Salah (and Mane) is pretty much a combination of the best part of Torres and Suarez..blistering start to their Liverpool career and continue to be able to maintain that high level, without the controversies, and always seems to be available (except due to Afcon😅)

dont get it twisted - el nino was a superstar but suarez was a phenom a unicorn in my 45yrs of watching liverpool fc i have never seen the likes of this fella - THE best footballer ever to play for this mighty club - just look at what he did at barca - insane numbers insane genius.

We are so blessed with absolutely mental footballers leading our frontline. Imagine a trio of prime Suarez on the left, prime Torres in the middle and prime Salah on the right.

Nah, I like Torres a lot during his stay at Anfield, but Suarez was superb, the 2013/2014 Suarez is one of the best strikers I've seen in my life, the bets in the world at that moment imo, he could do everything. Not a Liverpool fan, but i really felt it they couldn't win that last match and get the Premiere League, would've been a fitting prize for his performance

I pick Suarez...Torres is amazing n will ever be...but Suarez oh my goodness he put my enemies to shame...Liverpool signs players that lights us up...u can make an amazing movie 🎬 off our team from its formation in the 1880's till the likes of mane , firmino and Salah. NUNEZ we hope will come through he has the energy he is no Andy Carroll...boy got pace n energy and will come through. Gopke welcome to Anfield. Together we will make ur name shine

This is the kind of strike I want to see again in the premier League. A player in his kind. A pure number 9. Very strong, tall, fast , skillful. Goal machine. I want to see this kind of player lead arsenal attack in this current squad. Fernando Torres. I missed him.

The one main thing is torres always had 10 over 10 performance against any big boys. In europe or epl. Something suarez lacking for us. As brilliant as suarez was torres was menace yet so elegant on the ball. So majestic with those golden hair running onto u, u know he's gonna scorin and make u laughing stock in front of the crowds
He's more similar to marco van basten, elegance and dangerous on the ball.. But his fiery character sometimes , his willpower and his running with or without the ball is more similar to haaland.

Finally someone with abit of sense. Forget the longevity..prime torres beats suarez for ONE reason..he used to TERRORIZE ANY AND EVERY DEFENDER. Suarez mainly used to do it vs the small teams. The best defence/defenders used to handle him quite comfortably. TORRES TERRORIZED the very best defences and defenders. That's why prime torres wins for me.

It is hard to separate them, Torres was an excitement machine, he teamed up with Gerrard like no one else could. Weakness was slightly injury prone. Suarez, the bulldog, rated almost as high for genuine excitement for the fans. His best value was the ability to pick apart defenders because he had the gall to try an attempt the impossible, sometimes it actually paid off. Suarez therefore scored goals out of sheer disbelief. So for me it is a toss up of fan favourite (Torres) v uncomprimising self belief (Suarez). Torres went to chelsea and Suarez was petulant. Gerrard never had to calm Torres down and tell him to train like he had to with Luis. In the end it comes down to attitude to separate brilliance. As good as Suarez was, and he was the worlds best player for a few years, I pick Torres 2008-2010 as the player of a generation.
