    Suarez 13/14 season easily one of the most phenomenal individual performance in epl ever. His stats were crazy. If he was a primary penalty taker that season he could’ve scored 40+ goals. 31 goals without penalty and banned early of the season. 13 assists too 🤯🤯🤯.

      @@Sonyc-mk8zh He doesn't have to do shit on defense. Its not his job. He's a striker. He scored a record number of goals without taking any penalties. He did his job well enough. The fact that the actual defense couldn't back him up consistently is not his fault. Even in their best years, Penaldo and Pessi didn't do shit on defense either, but nobody called them out on it.

      The reason why these players 'fall over' is because they're extremely technical and agile on the ball, sometimes defenders dont know how to deal with so they hack especially the skilful players, not always the case of being strong and staying on your feet, its not as simple as that... if you ever played football you would know that winning freekicks in dangerous areas is a tactic that can win you games & dont tell me Suarez has never dived in his lifetime of football

      Over the course of a full season I’d probably agree (in terms of attacking of course) but I think the first half of the 21-22 season was the best and most complete football Liverpool played in my opinion. It was slightly inferior attacking wise but far superior defensively and Liverpool were averaging insane underlying numbers in terms of xG (some statistics models even showed Liverpool outperforming peak Man City under Guardiola which is insane).

    • @buzz5020
      @buzz5020 Před rokem +1

      I’d say 18/19 Liverpool was the best I’ve seen. So complete all over the pitch - attack on fire, probably the best defence in Europe that season, midfield full of workhorses. Our intensity was insane. Though 2014 was a very different team, some of the attacking, free flowing football we played was incredible

      @@stewills9711 With Prime Coutinho , he can unlock defence and set up for the two. I go with 1 creator and 2 scorer.

      @@Ace101Mega think he'd play better in midfield (thiago position) in his prime, feeding a suarez, salah, jota front three

      I'd pick Suarez, Torres and Firmino up front.
      Can you imagine Bobby setting up those 2!
      He'd bag 50 assists a season. 😂

    Whatever happened to Flanagan? He was one of the best young left backs we had ever seen.
    I would go as far saying better than Robbo even.

    Its a weird feeling really. We all hated it when Brendans team lost the title at the end of the season "due to a slip"..
    But if we made it.. Then Klopp wouldnt be at Anfield I guess. I allways hope BR does it well, if hes not competing with LFC :)
