I spent several hours exploring this yesterday and was shocked to find that it is completely usable as a dev (Mac shop). Screens are crystal clear. Arrange in Mac Display Settings.
I love Immersed, although I wish there was a way to interact with the screens with your Quest/Controllers. So that I can login from upstairs to my PC to do something and then go back to whatever I was doing. Or watch some youtube on my PC through the Quest whilst not actually at my desk.
Now idk if you know but you can also then open up the home menu and use that as well for additional screen long as it doesn’t open another app in vr mode. So you can actually use way more screens at once because some functions don’t close you out the app
how clear are the screens that your using, like through the headset, is text sharp? think I'm gonna go to curry's to see if i can try the quest 3 for myself before committing to buy it
I currently have the resolution of the monitor sent the 1080p and they are just as sharp as a 1080p monitor, there is a paid upgrade for more resolution but 1080p is crisp enough for me. Unfortunately I can't capture full resolution to show you how clear it is. But it was surprisingly crisp when I first saw it. The 3 drawbacks that I have, is the terrible strap that you can replace, the color cameras don't have great low light performance, so when using the pass thru you need a well lit room or the video looks a little grainy, and the battery life is another reason for a nice battery+strap replacement like a bobo vr M3 pro. So all of my issues can be solved with an aftermarket strap and good lighting.
Dang man, this setup (all this software) is unbelievable. I’m an avid movie and series watcher but I’d NEVER heard of sonar or this indexer (thank you for the tip btw). I’m getting my q3 in the mail this week, do you think it’s better than watching on the q2? I already watched the eventual episode or movie on the q2 but it wasn’t all the time. I was wondering if I’ll have to buy a 45w PD powerbank to go with it so I can watch stuff on the weekends.
I connected my mouse and keyboard and mouse via BT to my quest 3 but My issue is the mouse speed. It’s way too fast/sensitive. I adjust the speed on the quest and in the pc and no change. Immersed doesn’t have mouse speed options
1. Would a modern laptop run immersed or do you need a PC with a dedicated graphics card? 2. Can you run immersed offline? 3. How does it compare to Virtual Desktop?
Yes, a laptop would work fine. Immersed has an offline mode, immersed and virtual desktop are trying to do two different things. They both do what they are made to do really well. Virtual desktop is a must, and this is free to try out. If you're looking for multiple virtual monitors immersed is the app to use. If you're looking for wireless desktop use for a single monitor virtual desktop as you covered.
Yes multiple apps like Big Screen VR and The default player has 3D support. Not only can you watch 3D content but you can watch it in a virtual theater.
Immersed is more for productivity having multiple monitors. Virtual desktop only shows one screen and is more for streaming games wirelessly from the desktop
@@vianaalimentar1663 The program is free to use, I really dislike subscriptions so I would have preferred a one-time payment option to unlock the higher resolutions up to 4K

Yes you can use the menu tablet while immersed is kind of paused, then you would have to resume when you're done using the tablet.

Using the indexers with sonar and radar is almost as good as having a subscription most of the stuff is just there the next morning

Immersed is more of a PC bridge than a standalone app, you will find it very limitrd without a PC or laptop to connect to.

Virtual Desktop is better for games in my opinion and immersed is better for work as you can just plug the quest 3 right into your laptop on the go!
Are you constantly charging while working or do you just throw it on when you need to check something?
Right now I keep a long USB c near, when I get to 50% I plug in.

It's just a shame that the quest 3 gets a whole hour of charge. They could've put a DC outlet on the fucker, but they didn't, of course.
They could have added display port over USB-C so you could stream uncompressed video like PSVR2. Maybe quest 4
