That's definitely where the technology is headed, I think it will eventually replace static monitors. Would love to have a full 4k resolution for each eye before considering getting rid of monitors entirely.
Omg, I'm gonna get meta quest 3!! Thank you for your video!!! I've been watching a lot of videos. The apple vision for sure could be better but for 500 Bucks we get something amazing
Are you using a mouse? Im struggling to get my mouse to work unless I sit next to my computer and use my PC's mouse (which defeats the object as I want to sit away from my desk). I've set up a Bluetooth mouse to my quest 3 but it does not work in immersed Thanks.
This was the vid I needed to push me to get a quest 3. You can have your "setup" in a dedicated spot, walk away and it stays there. So cool. For the portals, is it possible to have one follow you or are they stationary? Also what kinda specs on your pc?
The portal stays where you put it, if you want a portal to come with you, you need to grab it an take it with you. You can move them around but they don't lock on to you they lock to the environment. My PC is 5800x 32gb ram and 3060 12gb
Hello, thank you very much for sharing the video. Could the displays be set up perpendicular so that it's possible to work while lying horizontally in bed?
I checked and you can open 3 tabs wide using the Oculus browser with no PC. You can use three tabs in both distance settings. In tablet mode its about 3 tablets wide. Using three tabs in full screen surrounds you a full 180° it's pretty immersive.
Why do they limit the workstation to 5 monitors? It seems arbitrary. I have 9 monitors in real life. It would be nice to get rid of those and have them all in immersed.
@@teamgt1981 I see things like SpaceDesk for using the Idd virtual driver. What I don't understand is how to bring this all together in a virtual environment so I can access these hi def monitors. I'm wanting to avoid having to buy $6000 worth of hi def monitors
How can you possibly see the monitor as if they were real monitors... the display inside the headset provides less resolution than a 2K monitor. Then you add the fact that the fake monitor's projection is 1/4th the size of the eye display. Best case you'll have a 800p monitor.
I don't know, you can pay extra for 4K monitors and 2 additional virtual screens, but they're so crisp in the headset I don't feel like I need to pay for it. And I know 1080p monitors might not seem that crisp but when you tape them to your eyeballs they clear up quite a bit. I wish there was a way to capture how clear they were but unfortunately recording is limited to 1Kx1k. It looks so blurry in the video It is not anywhere close to that in the headset
Thanks for your input, now I really want to try it out. By the way I got a good laugh at your video, specially when you displayed your arr's as I'm into that shit too trying to convince friends to come on my server and leave netflix.@@teamgt1981
It’s like wanting the latest, greatest $1,200 iPhone, or settling for a $30 android phone. They both do the same basic things, unless you also want all the latest bells and whistles.
this is fuckin sick. Headsets will lead to goggles will lead to glasses. FINALLY It's usable for this

the Quest3 is my first VR headset and i totally feel you. its damn astonishing!
For a home office situation this is fantastic. I’m certainly getting one of these rather than extra monitors.
Are you using the headset specs or the pc for doing that? Awesome vid btw.

Love this!!!!
I have not tried immersed yet, im gonna have to try after this video. I have used Fluid a few times with good success
Could I ask what web pages on the left you have open to manage the latest shows?
Radarr, Sonarr, Jackett, radar for movies sonar for TV shows Jackett does the search indexing for auto downloading. Search CZcams find a tutorial.

@@teamgt1981do you need to have a pc to get the windows or can you just use the quest
@@johnboy4955 you need a PC, quest has a built-in web browser and some other apps but most of the productivity stuff requires a PC
@@teamgt1981 thank you brother looking forward to getting one hopefully fingers crossed 🤞🏼 cheers
Can you save the layout for the monitors so its there whenever you enter immersed
Are those text on the side screens really readable? So you basically see it much more zoomed in than what the video shows us?
Unfortunately when I recorded this it was set to 1024x1024, inside the headset the text is crisp and clear.
@@teamgt1981 thanks, just bought it 😄 cant wait to try it out
@@Canneverdoit I'm sure you'll love it. And the value will only increase as more games and features come online
How do you set your monirt as that , I have been looking for a way to get it like I wanted but it ended with rotation
I think he's in the immersed app

yes

This is pretty much the same experience on a meta quest 2 minus the color pass through?
You can read these screens, I use the color pass though 99% of the time. Metaverse is fun but I like to see my surroundings when working.
@@teamgt1981
My use case would be the opposite in that I have a small workspace and would like feel like I’m working somewhere else
Do you need a computer to open windows all over the place
This setup requires a computer to work (laptop, pc, mac, etc). It will not do this on it's own
Why do they limit the workstation to 5 monitors? It seems arbitrary. I have 9 monitors in real life. It would be nice to get rid of those and have them all in immersed.
There are free applications to generate virtual monitors. You can generate the virtual monitor then open immersed for extra monitors.

hi you can use it to code? you can read well code?
Yes it is clear, there is also an upgraded 4K mode that requires a $5 subscription. If you want more screen resolution.
and does it make a lot of difference this mode?@@teamgt1981
no metaverse yet

Because it’s an inch from your eye mate.

2064 x 2208 pixels per eye, im pretty sure that's more pixels than a 2k monitor
I want a quest 3 so bad, but I'm holding out for the apple Vision Pro 🤞
