I think Big Town and Little Lamplight have a sort of system, they trade with them but also when the kids from Big Town have children they send them to Lamplight to live there till they get older to go back to Big Town

VampiricMisfit That'd be a good system, let them be kids in a land where most kids cant be kids while simultaneously going through some semblance of a normal growing up phase.
There's one glaring fault with such a system. Eventually, if they don't find outsiders to join Big Town and only Lamplight children are allowed--That's a pretty small gene pool, don't you think?
well its not like outsiders wouldnt come into bigtown. Its been shown that traders have access to the routes that lead to bigtown so we could assume for a time its safe enough for people to travel it. the wasteland is never short of homeless,refugees,and poor people looking to call a new place home.
It's actually extremely common in sci fi especially post apocalyptic, sometimes it's s system if kids growing up and getting cast out. Other times it's gender segregated where females remove males at a certain age and vice versa, usually to send them to another place thG becomes sort of legend. I can't imagine there's s lot of babies going from big town to little lamplight though seeing as the kids idea of bigtown seems as grand as ever. Unless they're protecting their innocence at least.

It’s not that strange, nor is it pedophilia in this hypothetical. I would expect in an apocalyptic situation that girls would marry and start having children at this age, particularly if the population is low/more people are needed for the ‘tribe’.
Obviously, that is not meant an endorsement for attempting to have sex or marry a 16 year old in real life.

During that walk to Big Town, I was constantly so tempted to just take Sticky down. Not kidding the temptation was so darn real I actually screamed “I CANT TAKE IT!!!” and my Player 2 (my one brother was watching me play) had to actually stop me from doing it. “It’s not worth it sis!!!” ‘Oh cmon! Just a little!!! No will know!!’

Its missions like this one that really draw me into the world of Fallout. There are lots of snarky characters and humorous dialogue but the reality of this world is terrifying. Hearing accounts of the bombs dropping and the immediate aftermath are truly fascinating. Another fantastic video OX. Thank you.

Man being able to go back and forth with Sticky in a “Shut Up” contest was hilarious. I remember thinking; “is this really happening right now?” He really needed a good punch to the face, haha.
Big Town was another of my favorite places to visit. It’s inhabitants were very... interesting and quite funny. I really enjoyed Bittercup and her weird dialogue flirting was pretty great too. Plus she gave me usual stuff since I came here in my early levels.
The mission to Germantown is part of the reason I enjoy this place. When I first went there, I had no idea of the dark and dread filled happenings that went on there, but it was a great adventure to rescue Red.
Looking forward to the next chapter in this story when you go to get her back as well as finding other interesting things while there.

The other week I was diagnosed with a panic disorder which makes it difficult to a lot of the things I did before this problem started. I get stressed out much easier and have episodes of panic when I feel paralyzed and can’t do anything. Oxhorns videos (Although I know this sounds cliche) have seriously helped me with this new problem of mine. He immerses you in the lore of the games and is a great story teller. Thank you Oxhorn. I think I speak for everyone when I say your videos can bring a little extra shine to an otherwise crappy day.
Man, I love Big Town. Mostly because it was a pretty honest reflection of being a young adult in the suburbs of the DC metro area at the time.

I always liked giving Sticky, Red, and Shorty good gear and guns... That way they didn't die immediately in the Mutant standoff. But I also save a ton of frag mines to line the streets leading to Big Town...
If you give shorty, sticky, and red power armor, shorty is in tiny power armor.

Sticky will follow you until you go to Big Town, no matter where you go. My favorite thing to do is to wait to get him until y the very end of the game, and take him with me to Adams Air Force Base and see how long he survives. Si far he hasn't even made it to the White House
And your last episode on Little Lamplight, I was tempted to comments on the moment when Sticky interrupted you by humorously saying: "Welcome to Hell Oxhorn!" 😂🤣😂🤣

Traveling on the road alone from Portland, Oregon to St. Louis, Missouri for my week-long vacation. Was gonna take a friend with me, but he had to deal with a family emergency and I couldn’t get anyone else to come with me. On top of that, it was also too late to reschedule my vacation time. I’m worried about getting robbed or worse, but I can at least say that your vids keep my morale going. I can certainly also give credit to the motel for the free Wi-Fi.

Wow, Big town is way more interesting if you find it before the German Town Police Station. I always run into it first when looting corpses and Red is a smooth negotiator. Next play through I’m gonna follow the main story until I reach Little Lamp Light.

Fun fact: Germantown is home to a location that is currently used by the US Department of Energy, but is rumored to have been the home of a secure bunker for hiding members of the US government because it was located just outside of the blast radius of the most powerful bombs used during the Cold War. So getting stationed there isn't far-fetched, and since the Department of Energy has probably been absorbed into the Atomic Energy Commission by the time of the Great War in Fallout lore, it's not too far-fetched to believe the location could secretly have been doing US military research or whatever.

This game was a big pain in the ass for me because I had zero companions, I relied solely on one gun (my Chinese assault rifle), and it’s basically my best friend.
Other than that it’s a hard world.

I just can't stop laughing. "There isn't anyone foolish enough to go up to Germantown" just has me in stitches because I lived there for years. I moved away last month, and Fallout 3 really just reminds me of home.

Im hoping to see if you incorporate the Paradise falls Red capteure into the prison breakout... I dressed my red up in the antagonizer costume and when I went to collect the caps she was wondering around with Shrapnel with a map indicator... great way to get red home and entrance to paradise falls without slaving... LOL... and... if you get that random big town trader encounter... so curious ho this minisearies ends. ;-)

My mom had cancer so when she started to lose hair she shaved her head and put a head wrap on. My dad was bald, and at the time, my mom was bald. We were in pretty desperate times so anything that I could do to make my self laugh I would say.
Lora Elstad yeah my mom had stage four ovarian cancer. Well she's been resting peacefully for 4 years now so at least she can have peace now.
DysfunctionalProgram my Dad passed away from cancer almost a year ago, so I know how you feel as well. Weird thing is he barely lost any hair at all. He actually had most of his when he passed, and he went through chemo.

I loved sticky as a companion TBH. I found him hilarouis. I dressed him up in riot gear and made him stay in a tenpenny tour suite. I just wish he had a shitload of more health. I literally had to AVOID enemies or not take him places. So I just goofed around as usual... I have alot of nostalgia for fallout 3. And I'm pretty sure I spent years playing it. All of his stories entertained me including his whole personality. He never annoyed me because I've dealt with MUCH MUCH MUUUUCH worse before. Enough to make sticky feel like a comfort. My character was also very OP and badass at the time. I honestly felt really sorry for sticky.. Like he deserved alot better than what he got... So I tried giving him something close to it, I gave him better clothes, Plenty of food, and entertainment/etc... I actually felt really sorry for him and developed a strong caring for him. Even though I kind of did leave him behind in tenpenny tower, But he was legit 100% safe where I left him. It also feels like there was alot of cut content from big town.

The best thing in my fallout 3 is that my winterized T-51b power armor's condition is not going down plus it has high damage resistance when its fully repaired!!! and I love your Fallout: New vegas videos. I have it but it broke and I bought another one and it broke within 2 days 2 F****N days

Hey Oxhorn I just thought I'd something. Maxson has broken the chains that bind... My reasoning behind this is that in Fallout 4 he gives you the sole survivor direct orders which violates the chains that bind which state that only ones direct superior can give commands to the person under them. So a paladin can't give orders to a scribe or an initiate since they are not their direct subordinate so technically right now someone could oust Elder Maxson for the aforementioned violation.
