    I really like your "pocket check'" addition. Nice to see what you're carrying at the time.

    A long time ago, I bought a olight s30riii baton and a old m2r warrior pro. Starting to go mad as I just can not find suitable replacements, and I've been looking (I'm fussy and a bit mad). Going to get a pineapple reylight soon. Being able to memorize moonlight is olight's best feature, don't want to be blinded in the middle of the night. I like an efficient flashlight that uses the least amount of light required and only has to be charged once every few months

      I was using a Nichia Pokelit for a moonlight mode bedside night light but now I am using an Olight i3t 2. It's a bit bright 5 lumens on low which it can be set to always come on at but it's not a wide beam and as long as I don't turn it on initially pointing directly at what I want to check e.g. my hygrometer, then I think it's good. Nice and small and seems to have decent CRI also. I found the Pokelit a bit to dim once the battery had run down some I think due to them having rubbish drivers.

    Malkoff MDC series have a Stainless Steel Crenelated Bezel. Doesn't fit Bodyguard, but other MDC series heads.

    The Malkoff looks like the Bakelite that old records and stuff used to be made out of & the designs remind me of some kind of East German Communist design. Not saying it's bad, just sayin. Does the Malk still drop of quickly if you use it on the other bodies with larger batteries? I assume it still would? If so then not good.

      Yes it does drop down quickly no matter what battery and body. This is a specific design by Malkoff. It is meant to offer a quick burst of light for defence and then go into a manageable and sustainable output so to not drain the battery. I think it is genius. 8 seconds is more than enough to blind someone. and if you turn the light off and on again, the 8 seconds of blinding light will start again. I love it

    I just wish Malkoff had the high/low like the Elzetta

    Why these when so many companies have same size stuff easily exceeding 1K lumens?

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Different designed uses. Sometimes 1k lumens is too much

      @@flashlightcrazy thats why they they have optional power settings..

      @@Abaddon5850lights in a similar size that produce that much light can’t sustain it. Lights like this will sustain their brightness for hours.
      A light that size that gives off 1k lumens might hold it for 60 seconds and then keep dropping due to heat.

    • @Abaddon5850
      @Abaddon5850 Před 5 měsíci

      @jacobphilip3977 the light that gives 1k lumens or more also has an option to drop to a similar power setting as these, making your argument useless. these are just inferior. I already said this tho.

      These two companies make "no joke" lights. people all over the world use them for hunting, self-defence, LE, Military ect. The fact that both of them utilise the same interface is indicative that they are onto something good.
      I don't think these lights are inferior, although you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
