  • Wrist pain can come on for a variety of reasons. Here we talk about how we use iontophoresis for acute tendon inflammation.
This can be a helpful treatment for tendon problems that are superficial and close to the skin. It works fast and helps relieve the pain.
The problem is, when iontophoresis is used in isolation it doesn't totally fix most problems. The mechanics of why the pain came on is essential to address.
If you are looking for treatment for your specific tendon problems, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks!

Hi, How deep the dexamethasone does penetrate into the tissue in iontophoresis? How many treatments are required? Can we use it in the treatment of knee or hip osteoarthritis or spinal disc herniation or degenerative spinal changes? Is this method same effective as intraarticular injections? Thanks

It only penetrates up to 1cm. Good for superficial tendon problems. Not good for joints.

@@AlignTherapyUtah Thanks. For suprapatellar bursitis is it effective? In Russia, they say after the procedure ends, the medication continues to penetrate deeper arriving the blood stream of that zone. What do you think about it ?

Stretching and strengthening based on the deficits you have.
