Oh boy 3AM!
Also, I could see that being a fun little stealth game.

*Falcon:* Samurai video it is.

10 chu! I did too dude.
Buahahaha get me a kair to sit on man lol

I can't believe that Shinobido: Way of the Ninja was not on this list. That was the best stealth ninja game I've ever played. Massively underrated.
Shinobido it's probably one of the most complete games that I ever played. It has a lot of different mechanics, it's awesome. The story, the characters, the style, everything. In my ALL GAMES TOP 10 forsure.
No one remembers Shinobi on ps2 and thats sad, straight up one of my childhood games. So underrated.
Not just the PS2 version (which was great) but also the original ones on the Master System and Genesis, Shinobi 3 for example was fantastic.
Facts bro one of my favorite games of all time.
yes it was fckin awesome and also ninja gaiden on sega is 1000 times better that the one on ps3 and rip shinobido also on ps2
Yes right? Shinobi Ps2 is such an awesome game and Nightshade was really great too!
@@OddballEddie how about Revenge of Shinobi? Such a classic!
Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games in a long time and the first game I took the time to Platinum. Really amazing game and experience 👏

Absolutely agree with you, GOT is a masterpiece
Huge fan of all of the Way of the Samurai games! I wish that they would continue them on newer gen consoles! They were definitely a league above everything else at the time
2 and 3 didnt have the same feel as the first for me but i agree i love the series.
Way of the Samaria, what i liked about that game is the villages treated you with a level of fear and respect being a Samaria and i especially liked how simply putting your hand on the sword handle but not drawing the weapon served as a threat and often times a deterrent for a fight. Really cool concept
Shinobi (PS2) is the most underrated ninja/samurai game of all time...
I wish they made a new one :/ or remaster the one on PS2 and Nightshade. I think the last one they made was on 3ds
What about kengo? Samurai western? Soul of the samurai?
@@finding.a.new0 fun fact Kengo was my first M rated game! I'm surprised the dude at Wal-Mart let me get it since I think I was 16 at the time lol.

You mean Shinobido?? A real ninja game, loved it. Sad that they didn't port the sequel and revenge of zen on ps2.

"Ninja Gayden"
I swear Falcon does this on purpose.
@Gamer B0I It is, Falcon is just weird at pronouncing stuff, he's that kinda guy who calls Ryu Rai you, Lara Laura Croft and thinks Mega Man and X are the same character.
I hope so.
Yeah this guy sounds like Ben Shapiro playing a Kazoo

Ghost of Tsushima: easily the best game I have ever played in my entire life, it's just beautiful
Ghost of Tsushima is incredible, but GOAT? I don’t know about that. Have you played Red Dead Redemption 2? Red dead 2 was the best game I’ve ever played. The gameplay is fun but can get repetitive, but god damn the story. It’s so well acted, I got so emotionally invested in Arthur. I really fell in love with his character. The relationships feel real, the love, the betrayal, the hope and despair. It moved me to tears. I personally don’t see anything topping RDR2 for me in a long time.
But for me RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring, Breath of the Wild, Bloodborne, The Last of Us 1 & 2, God of War PS4, Portal 2, Witcher 3, Journey, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Dark Souls 3 and maybe Skyrim are in my opinion the essential, must play games.
It’s definitely up there, incredible game
@@SemenTheSailor I thought the video was about ninja games
Way off in genre but my most favourite game ever is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
@@SemenTheSailor just let people enjoy things dude
Sekiro is just on another level to the rest. The combat is unmatched. The visuals, the story, the endings and the Boss fights are just breath talking. It's also the toughest game to master out there. My only disappointment is that they never came out with sekiro 2.
yoooo, maybe its gonna be the next game from fromsoft after armored core. I saw a youtuber commenting that activision has paid some content creators to compare elden ring with sekiro, its speculation of course but i hope it comes. Do you have any recomendations for me to play after sekiro?
I get you but sekiro isn't THAT old yet, since 2023 just started, let's just say it's been out for 3 years, in which they just recently created Elden ring. Maybe it's already in development, only time will tell. What I'm tryna say is, it's normal that there hasn't been a sequel yet

One great game you didn't mention was Shinobi for ps2
gameranx : THANKU
I'm shocked to see not even an honorable mention of Shinobi & Nightshade/Kunoichi (PS2)! The art design, soundtrack and game mechanics were really brilliant, and they're still fun to play today!
Ah yes, Ten-ku. I have good memories of tenku stilth asasinz and wrath of heven...
Pretty sure it’s Stealth Hashashins.

"Tenchu" was AMAZING (I wasted so much time on this game) and the soundtrack was brilliant. Glad to see it on this list.

Sekrio obviously

Way Of The Samurai & Tenchu some of my all times favs .
Tenchu (Ten-Chew) is the best ninja game I’ve ever played and one of my favorite game series of all time 🖤
Can't believe Total War: Shogun 2 isn't on this list.
"Shameful Display!"

Or tw three kingdoms
@ben shalev
TW Three Kingdoms takes place in China and has nothing to do with Samurai or Ninjas, same reason he said Dynasty Warriors wasn't included.
Vivisect
Ah shit, mb then.
Never rly played it but seems to me a game like that.
Ty for letting me know
The Nioh series is so slept on 😢 cheers for covering it on the list
Oh ya. Nioh 2 combat is just flat out better than any combat that from soft games can offer.
@@SwiFTDBLsekiro shadow die twice is waay better
@@user-zx3eo9qr9x have you played nioh 2?dont get me wrong I love sekiro- I’ve beaten it- but let’s be honest you have ONE weapon option, with a handful of techniques to use with said option. The prosthetic is very dope and Don’t get me wrong I love the perfect deflect rhythm you get into with sekiro- but nioh 2s combat system is soooo much more in depth. There’s like 7 weapons and each weapon has its own unique moveset you can unlock- and the depth of the skill trees for each weapon is insane. The combat system in nioh 2 is way more in depth and has more replay value simply for the fact you can try so many different weapon combinations (you can rock two at once and intertwine them as you please). Also in nioh 2 when you go into NG+ it mixes up a lot of the enemies so it’s not the same old same old- there’s actual new experiences with different enemies with new move sets.
Nioh 2 is just a beautiful game and this is coming from someone that loves all from soft games.
If you haven’t played it I highly recommend trying it.
@@user-zx3eo9qr9x I typed up a long ass reply to explain why the nioh 2 system is better but CZcams glitched and I guess the comment disappeared lol..
Quick summary- nioh 2’s combat is just more in depth. I love sekiro don’t get me wrong- but nioh 2 has like 11 weapon types plus bows / rifles / hand cannons, and each weapon has its own unique skill tree that is very deep and each weapon therefore has its own moveset. Nioh 2 has more replay ability as well considering theres always many new weapons / weapon combos to use since you can rock two weapons at once and seamlessly switch weapons mid fight so fast.
Meanwhile sekiro is one weapon with a handful of techniques to apply.. don’t get me wrong I love the rhythm you get into with perfect deflects and finding attack windows… also the prosthetic arts are super cool.. but if we’re talking depth Nioh 2 has got sekiro beat.
I love both games and they are very different so it’s hard to compare but nioh 2s combat has way more variety and depth.
Not sure if you’ve played nioh 2 but I highly recommend if you haven’t.
(Also nioh 2’s NG+ system is one of the best systems for NG+ you will ever see. Some Enemies switch locations and have new move sets so it keeps things fresh and new for repeated playthrus. Also the fact you unlock the rarest weapon / armor rarity after you beat the game for the first time so you have that much more to grind for in NG+)
lol ended up being a long ass comment again I guess woops 😅😂🤣

I’m mostly upset that the psp Tenchu was mentioned, and not Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
Wrath of heaven is in my 10 favorite games of all time. Much respect m8
EXACTLY. I would say it's generational but they're old enough to KNOW Tenchu was better than everything else
Also he acted like there was only two main games in the series, not 4 lol. Just the whole Tenchu part is woefully inaccurate.
I love Wrath of Heaven I still play my copy of it, I try to beat my scores on each stage scenarios. But I prefer the Xbox version because they give you a few new stages and new ninja abilities.
Tenchu Z xbox 360 my friends
Mark of the Ninja is phenomenal. Towards the end, you're basically playing a 2D version of a blend of Dishonored and Batman Arkham with all the tools and abilities you have and the whole fear system. Honestly I'd say it definitely utilises that whole "using fear as a tool" thing better than Ghost of Tsushima and I reallllly enjoy how Ghost handles that stuff for the most part
I remember wanting to play Tenchu when I was around 6 years old and couldn't get past the scary demons or whatever it was that they had. Same thing with Onimusha lmao
Glad to see Bushido Blade get some love!

Red Ninja: End of Honor was FAR from a perfect game (especially when it comes to camera manipulation) but it was truly innovative and beautiful for it's time and is more than deserving of a next-gen revival. With the power of today's consoles within their reach, it would be interesting to see how far these devs could expand upon the unique battle and stealth mechanics and even the AI that made this game stand out from it's contemporaries at that time...

Also, Strider and The Messenger deserve to be here, and if we're including fighting games; Samurai Showdown.
Oh yeah! I totally forgot about those part 2 video???
Michael Hill, exactly. I already knew Shinobi (specifically Shin.3) would be grazed over just because it isn't mainstream or new enough. They don't show much respect for the classic 8 and 16-bit eras as you saw he just grazed over the Nes trilogy of Ninja Gaiden games (nothing against the newer ones). Only thing I dislike about this channel.

Bushido Blade was definitely one of those games that deserved more attention than it got
It's a real shame that Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza Kenzan didn't get ported to the west...the success of Got is the proof that there is market for good samurai games. If you read my comment Sega (probably not) please make it happen.
From software and sucker punch plus koei tecmo with team ninja will give Ryu ga Gotoku Studio a big slap to the face
The team behind Yakuza kenzan and ishin said the game was difficult in translation and maybe they thought the japanese feudal theme cannot sell well
I know I’m so mad about that. I almost want to import it, because PS4 isn’t region locked. But not sure how much enjoyment I would get with no English subtitles.
The mistranslation of the title makes it difficult in the first place.
Sega think changing the title from Ryu ga Gotoku (Like a Dragon) to Yakuza will make the game more appealing for western audience.
The problem IS that Yakuza is a gangster not a warrior like Samurai.
That's why Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan never made it to west cuz they think putting Yakuza title on a Samurai game is very absurd.
