I'm up watching born this way at 1:50am. Even though is over for the season. I still have it on DVR. Watching the episode when John & the family went to ATL to the recording studio. That song he made called "WHEREVER I GO" is sooooo touching to me. I'm a fan of the show and can't wait for season 2.

I don't understand the folks who believe John is being exploited. If this is something he wants to do and A&E is giving him the opportunity to showcase his talents...where is the exploitation? I've worked in the Developmental Disabilities field for 17+ years and know that these are adults, not children in adult bodies who need to be "protected" from trying new things, even if they don't succeed the first time. These incredible young adults don't want to be limited by anyone, even the well-intentioned. As for the viewers who voted this video down...well...just sad...

Whether I like the song or not is not the issue in my opinion. This guy did all of the work himself to get an entire album-with a video-finished. The resourcefulness of this guy is unbelievable-especially with the guy having DS. Getting a studio lined up, a photographer, graphic designer and duplicating CDs and iTunes is not easy, but he did it.

John Tucker, I'm revisiting because I have been watching the reruns of 'Born This Way on the Roku channel. I love and support you and your friends! Are you still recording and can your albums be purchased? I saw Megan's web site still exists but she has written a children's book. What a great personality! I pray you stay as full of joy as you were on BTW because you are as much of an inspiration as you wanted to be for the kids who come behind you. I work with children with exceptionalities so I know.

This is awesome! John is a great guy and I'm so happy for him. No limits for that young man. Love born this way and maybe now people will look at people with disabilities in a different light and not assume that they do have lots of ABILITIES.

John's family is great. They keep him grounded and they have made John into a very nice, responsible, young man. Out of everyone on BTW, John went after and accomplished his dream. It's not like Megan and her unrealistic, outlandish, absurd "dreams". His parents actually say 'no' to John and taught him how to count and because of that, he's not living in a fantasy where he lives alone, finishes college gets married, has a baby like Megan and her mother who everyone loves but has Megan so confused it's sickening.
Really Eric!?! Who is allowed to step on ANYONE'S dream? However big or small a dream is up to the individual. Most especially any one born with special needs. With the right support anything is achievable.

And that John, which is the name of the guy in the video actually worked really hard. He got a cd out with the help of just his mother and the school he attends where he is learning to further his skills. While this song isn't available on iTunes he has another more heartfelt song on iTunes that I purchased. So no one is placating him. His mother explained in great detail how hard it would be. He understands and wants to try it. There's no reason he shouldn't give it a shot. He may or may not make it big but at least he's finding his dream a shot. Which more than most ppl get to do. The studio may not have approached him had he not been on the show. But isn't getting discovered a by chance kinda thing. I can't wait for the third season of the show. And again I wish u and ur son well.
