Notable in regards to Creeping Bloodsucker: It automatically fulfills the requirements of triggering Belbe, Corrupted Observer fully, which is great since I want to build that deck since she came out. Unfortunately I didn't get to do it yet.
As a casual MTG player , i grabbed a box of Dominaria Jumpstart, telling my friends how awesome this set was . We are boardgamers and we love Smash up which is made by Richard Garfield and Jumpstart is basically Smashup with MTG. Ohhh our surprise when we opened that box and 3 of the 5 players had the same white pack ..... Kind of makes the experience pretty dull ...
Dominaria / Brothers War Jumpstart are like “DLC packs” to add to a larger collection.

@@TheRetroViking Lol that’s what they are, the old “Theme Boosters” made compatible with Jumpstart. And the themes are based on that color’s mechanics from the set
My brother and I bought some Jumpstart just to play a few rounds against each other for fun, and first pack I open I was greeted with anime Balan, which is currently moving for $50. Needless to say, I'm now going to buy a box because what is gambling if not reinforcing bad habits 👍

These are really fun picks. Cards like Distinguished Conjurer fly under the radar because they're not massive game breakers and I'm happy to see them get some recognition

As soon as I seen Brazen Cannonade, I knew it'd get put into my Garna, Bloodfist of Keld deck, so glad to see you shining a little light on such a great uncommon commander, Prof.
a note on the bloodsucker - unlike most of such blood artist effects it's actual damage. there are cards that care about this difference for example anything that gives it lifelink, whip of erebos etc.
and it gets in into my uncle karl deck asap.

I'm excited for this set. I work at a library and have been able to offer free drafts as a library program. It's been great. But they take so long because a lot of our patrons are new to the game. I'm planning on doing this set next because of how easy it is to draft and we can get right to playing

I am buying an entire booster box and you can not STOP ME! I love jump start, and I like opening packs.
My local card shop has no copies of Jumpstart 2022, because the two previous Jumpstart sets were such a flop they didn't want to take a risk getting this one. I'm gonna be honest, as great as some of these cards are, I was mostly drawn in by the art, Primeval Herald for instance has fantastic art. Whoa though, Brazen Cannonade's effect is a bit similar Prosper, Tome-Bound, but it's effect takes place at end of combat instead of end of turn.
Oh my, Brazen Cannonade goes straight into my Lagomos deck. What a banger of a card, that could really put the table on a timer to deal with you, and card advantage to boot.
One thing to note with Brazen Cannonade in aristocrat decks is that you don't really give that much of a choice to your opponent.
Creatures are still attacking until end of combat phase so you may attack, let them block, have the unblocked creatures deal damage and finally sacrifice them for maximum damage output.
That music at 14:35 really brought back memories of the old dvd days.

I played JumpStart the first time last week, it was loads of fun. I'm tempted to buy a box just to have them on hand for the future, tho not opening them right away to see if I've got anything good is going to be a struggle 😅
This is a where I was at, but I realized the fix is to pick up a booster box along with some cube shells (Dragonshield makes some great ones) open packs to see all the awesome cards, put each pack into a shell, shuffle them up and enjoy with friends.

The premise of “Standard” Jumpstart is great. Every Standard release we get a hand full of Jumpstart themes flavored around the set’s mechanics, added to our larger Jumpstart collection.
I am a beginner and i was impressed by the lands in the Jumpstart Dominaria. Great for a couple games. I have to try the original Jiumpstar

@@malakimphoros2164 One theme, with two variations for each color is nicely manageable and symmetrical. (Otherwise they’d need to make 40 themes to cover all 10 of the two-color draft archetypes, plus variations.)

Creeping bloodsucker is a great card for a Strefan deck, the latest Vampire Precon from Crimson Vow
I have a modified Strefan deck and this would work really well. Strefan gets the chunky, heavy hitting, dangerous vamps out consistently and most removal goes toward them. Bloodsucker would go unnoticed for awhile until they realize the amount of life you've gained.
Hello, im here to comment that my plans are to pick up a box of js22 and just keep it together and use it as a fun limited format. I’ll probably proxy the good stuff I pull for other decks though. Lastly, im interested to see what the fireside chat is about, and if the Prof is going to cover any of that information in a future video. Probably right?

I can't believe you didn't mention Faldorn for Brazen Cannonade. A 2/2 wolf attacks in combat, dies triggering Cannonade, dealing 2 damage to each opponent. Second main phase you get the raid trigger, casting that card from exile then gives you back the wolf. It was literally made for that deck!

A really interesting detail you didn't bring up is that Pirated Copy doesn't just let you draw a card when you deal damage, it draws a card if the original lands a hit as well. You can copy an opponent's best creature and make them really antsy about swinging with it out of fear of giving you free card advantage.
And if you’re open to being a bit risky with your copy’s survivability, you can copy a Token- since there tend to be a lot of those and they all have the same name, which means you’ll get a bunch of draw off it

Brazen Cannonade looks like an amazing card. It's a good pick for number 2. I love it for my Silvar/Trynn deck where it's all about attacking and sacrifice.

I’m a big fan of the new art for stitchers supplier, the flavor text is great too. I think a good episode of shuffle up and play could be mixing a jumpstart pack from each expansion, 2020 and 2022, and seeing what you can come up with.

Creeping bloodsucking is also perfect for Strefan three blood tokens each turn.. yes, please! Pretty much guarantees being able to cheat a vampire into play each turn once it has been around for one turn and Strefan is able to attack
