    1:32 I’m sure by now most may know that the Infotainment System issues have had a Safety Recall that will be fixed by Honda under Warranty on 19-23 Passports. Just had mine done on ‘19 Passport Touring AWD. The issue is with the FAKRA CONNECTORS/CABLES and the Service Job is C/S: 23-047:6MX00
    Additionally, you may have an issue with the Idle/Stop Restart where after the Passport going into Idle/Stop, won’t restart and tell you to put it in Parking, then restart it. This is a software issue and can be fixed by having dealer update the PGM-FI Software under Service Job 23-008:6AX00.
    To be honest this is the one feature I do not like in the Passport and wish I could disable without having to do so every time I turn it on. There is a 3rd party fix to this for around $100 that I will definitely look into but figured I might as well have Honda fix the issue first.
    Both of these are covered under Honda Warranty and should take about 6hrs to be done. I just dropped off my PP in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.
    I’ve had no other issues with my Passport and LOVE IT. I actually take mine off-roading.
    Hope this helps someone!

    Great video! I’ve been considering purchasing a passport and have been looking for a good honest review like this from an actual owner.

    I've heard from the forum that the radio problem occurs mostly on the Touring and the Elite. I've also heard that some of the people who put the optional transmission cooler on have complained about a "banging" sound when it shifts to certain gears.

    Leasing a 2019 Touring. Mostly love it, but a few things could use attention from Honda. Love the cargo capacity and the V6. Heating and especially cooling sucks -- we're too cold in winter, and too hot in summer. Might get something else for this reason alone. Transmission is great for entrance ramps and does "flooring it" very well -- but it is clunky and slow to react at city speeds. I would take slower 0 to 60 times for a bit smoother in town driving experience. Though the overall length and size is tidy, it is a hair too wide to pass other vehicles on inner city side streets. You have to pull over to let people through, like you would with a full-size truck. Infotainment has been slightly buggy, but if you plug in a USB keyboard and hit the right key combo, you can reboot the infotainment without taking it into a dealer. Also, I know this is marketed as an "off road" vehicle, but if you're like me you're not actually taking it off road -- I would love an on-road focused vehicle of this size with maybe an inch or two lower ride height. I hate the gear selector too -- backed into a dumpster within the first week of ownership because I thought I was in Drive. Sure, you get used to this, but I still have to look down at the transmission. I'd take a normal gear selector over being able to shut off the motor while it is in gear.

      Overall though... what else has this cargo capacity, this comfortable of an interior, and this great of a motor for this price ?? Definitely recommend this vehicle, especially if you want the higher ride height and off road capability.

    I had this issue on my Passport Touring also. The infotainment system always broke down and my car dealer had this temporary solution and been using it for a couple days now without having audio went static every time it hit an uneven road and then completely shut off supposedly this car is designed offroad capable. Hoping this fix will last longer.

    Just got rid of my pick up for a 22 passport. I miss my truck but that doesn’t mean the passport isn’t a good vehicle. It’s very easy to drive and it has room for days

    The automatic window feature is such a useful feature. Ive used on my Accord from 06. People always ask if i left my windows open. But now with remote start, that could be he game changer as I heard it turns on the air

      It does not actuate the air conditioning, but once the windows are open then you can lock car and start it.

    At 22,100 miles in a year and I have had zero transmission issues. I have had the infotainment issues where it won’t play once a iPhone is plugged in. Ended up being more of an apple issue than anything else.

    Hey Eddie.Enjoy your videos. I also have a 2019 Passport and love it. I've put a hitch and wiring on mine after watching your pilot videos and was going to do the transmission cooler ..I thought it would be as easy as watching you do your 6 speed Pilot but after some research its sounds like adding one for 9 speed ZF in pretty much a PIA ..even checking/adding the fluid afterwards is not that straightforward..do you plan on ever doing the ATF cooler on the Passport? have you heard any feedback from those that may have added? Thanks

    Thanks for the review. Really considering buying this car.
    Do you find the "Captains Chair" arm rests insufficient? They look small.
    Also, do you find the glossy shifter console gathering too much dust, finger prints and smudges ?

    • @eddiesspeedgarage

    I would definitely buy a Passport if it came t when I bought my RDX. However, These were the things that I didn't like about the Passport that would be a deal breaker: Black 20 inches wheel, and ugly black trim everywhere, Van style arm rest. I preferred shinny chrome. I felt Honda should offered more options to the buyers.

    • @TacoMonster4eva
      @TacoMonster4eva Před rokem

      @Hermie exactly. Why the hell would anyone want chrome? That thing makes vehicles look ugly as hell. Not sure who installed the idea that more chrome is luxurious.

    The Passport is an excellent SUV. Great powertrain and vehicle size. I don't like the firmer-ride. I would change the wheels and tires to be like the Pilot.

    I hate the option that the windows roll down. I have had the key FOB in my pocket and more than one time the windows have rolled down without me knowing it and it rained. I can't turn off the function, for that reason I will not buy a Honda again.

  • @christinamartinez8132

    How do I keep the doors locked when I am warming it up in the morning? Thanks.

    • @eddiesspeedgarage
      @eddiesspeedgarage  Před rokem

      I know for sure the car won’t lock with the keys in it. I’m assuming you don’t have remote start. Try to lock the vehicle with keys out and away from the vehicle you will have to hit the lock button in the door not the fob.

      I would think the touring has heated mirrors already. Check your rear defrost button to see if it has a mirror on it. I would be very surprised if you didn’t considering my EX-L did.

      We put a trailer hitch on our 2019 Passport AWD Sport edition. It was a heavy job, but between my husband, myself & our 2 teen sons we got the job done! Did that about a year ago. Just last night I added the wiring harness; only a pain cause I didn't take time & watch the Curt video on installation, but I still got it done.

      Well, I owned 7 Hondas from my 87 civic to my 2019 Pilot and I never had a headache.
      Owned a 89 Nissan Sentra... That car I would say is an absolute crap. Traded it after 2 years.
