It totally depends on how you spend those hours... as a person with little time to play ive always used the time wisely and so despite playing since day 1 of release, I have 1050 hours, only approx 200 hours in the last 4 years, can't directional air roll properly yet and still am a comfortable GC2, have been gc since approx 600 hours... the best player I know is a 13 year old SSL with 1.7k hours. @@Zteam1Brawlstars Yeah, though interesting I just don't think the concept of this video is valid, a more interesting thing to do, would be to take the fastest and slowest developers from each rank as surveyed and spend time speaking to them and reviewing them to understand their gameplay routines and e.g. if they solo Q or generally have tm8s etc to see what difference a proper practice routine or how different ways spending the time affects the time taken to improve. I'd bet my life that a person who only ever hops on to play ranked or casual games will not improve at 1/10th the rate a person focusing on specific mechanics or gameplay goals will. I see it in myself, in my first 600 hours in the first cpl of years of game release I was a consistent leaderboard player in 1s and 2s, I was focusing practice time into mechanics and so e.g. had a nasty flick game and strong air mechs at a time where barely anybody could catch and flick or use manual air roll well... then I look at myself now, I hardly play because of long work days and busy weekends, so when I do I am just hopping on with mates, doing a few ranked games then off. I've gone from being ahead on mechanics to not even being able to use directional air roll properly and being way behind on mechs, having to rely on game sense to be in GC. It shows how important it is to focus your time if you want to be improving.

If this is accurate, then that means I should be gc3, but I'm champ one. Yeah, hours don't help you that much unless you know the mistakes u keep making, and if the mistake were horrible save your replays and them go back and take a look that's what I did then keep practicing I don't keep practicing the same mistake I do it just enough to know it's okay because when your trying to practice the same mistake over and over again your other mechanics would become trash so you have to do both however it also depends on the Mechanics your trying to get better at some may need a longer time to practice but some like a flip rest would take u about 3 weeks to get a simple one. And for the double flip rest it took me 5 months cuz I really didnt practice that much anyways I think that this time thing doesn't matter the only thing that matters is how fast you catch on with the mechanics anyways that's what i do tbh and I hope this information helps btw love your videos ❤

Also shows that practicing nothing is the same as going backwards when everybody else is working on their game.
I love how theres a 200 hour difference between P1 and P3 but I went from P1 to P3 in a day.
Me getting like plat 3 + can do flip resets in like 30h playtime:
700h and I'm D2, this shit is pretty accurate
Im D3 with the 200h
@@KTDASHES I was d3 after 100 hours or something like that but if you do like pause for rocket lague for a 2 years you forget what you learned and you must now i am like c2 with 600 hours but probably if I played with no pause i would have it in 300 hours or something + some people doesn t practice only play games so they don t have c1 even if they 1000 hours

Your problem if you dont believe me
Took me around 500 hours to reach champ but since then it’s been like 4 years and i’ve had about 4 3 month breaks from gaming due to moving and a couple more slightly shorter breaks inbetween, i’ve been stuck in champ for like 10-15 seasons 😂 i just want to play consistently for once
I got to GC1 with about 1400 hours when I played a ton. But stopped playing for a while and only started again recently. Makes me feel better knowing I’m where I belong in C2 with 1600
I’m high c2 and I have very few hours compared to what I should according to this. And it makes sense because I definitely feel like I’m a little behind in certain areas than others in my rank.
Yeah i’m almost c3 with just under 300
@@williammottley6268 yea thats when i hit c2 div 4 but I've stayed there for another 200 hours. go figure lol
C1 400 hours
D3 200 hours
c1 1000 hours😭
funny how it's always the fibonacci sequence
How is this the fibonacci sequence?
This is actually a kobayashi maru
Took me about a month of playing normal pvp to gathered courage to play comp and first day after 10 games I'm gold 2 on 2v2... I don't understand this game fully but I'm happy with the result
I’m a Gold III but recently made my placements at Diamond II
I do not know how but I can assure you that it will drop and my 62 hours in the game do not in any way reflect the absolute luck of the draw that consisted of my solo queue teammates
I sleep well at night after seeing this. Took me 563 hours for champ 3 in 2s and champ 2 in 3s.
350 for champ 2 for me and i’m currently on 400 still at champ 2 😂

Holy crap that's way too accurate for me

He didn't? LOL
3500 hours - d3/c1
I have 75 hours in the game total, and man am I fighting plat3 to D1!! We struggle around here boys! I was looking for this very info yesterday tho, glad you posted it man!
As a plat with 92 hours I see this as an absolute win
This is just wrong. I am C3 and I have around 350 hours. And no this is not my in game hours I checked through the Epic Games launcher.
It's correct, source: trust me bro
Simply playing the game does absolutely nothing for your skillset. I learned more in the first 100 hours of play time than I did in the following 3000
@@syndicategaming1668 Simply playing the game absolutely does something for your skillset. What are you talking about?
@@shisu7213 I haven’t improved the last 1000 hours I played, because I don’t bother learning from my mistakes anymore. So no, just playing the game is not enough
@@syndicategaming1668 Skill comes from experience. So experiencing the game, would obviously make you improve, which it does
@@syndicategaming1668 it does improve something, your awareness and gamesense. though it does not improve any mechanics besides the basics (shooting, saving and recovery)
My friend who's been playing the game for a while trained me, and I got to gold III in about 5 hours.
As a person with the playtime of a silver 2 in diamond I see this as a win
According to this I should be GC2 (me chillin in champ 2 💀
Lol I should be SSL, I'm not even close
you guys don't use ur time well then
My issue with this is I get distracted by mechanics and my mechanics are at the point of gc3 now and most of my hours are freestyling because I love it
yep same lmao. i was gc2 with mid gc3-ssl mechanics and started focusing on just being smart and finally got to gc3 after so long of tryna be 100% mechs lmaoo
@Asynth my main issue is I don't practice anything you can do in match. I'm more of a creative freestyler, so it doesn't really translate in game
I hit gc1 after 1k hours but only have mechs

These are not the average amount of hours it takes to reach every rank.
These are the average amount of hours it takes not to get a higher rank.
This shows that you may reach D3 after, say 900 hrs, still be after "1000 hrs", and will not get out of this rank until, say 1100 hrs.
🤓🤓🤓
i dont care about how long it takes it just reminds about how bad i am and how i will never get better
