The Secret Tunnel to Jaigarh Fort. 🇮🇳

- More adventuring in the Amer Fort area near Jaipur. I found the secret passageway that allows you to walk from Amer Fort to Jaigarh Fort, meaning no need to deal with the scammy rickshaw drivers outside. Okay, the path is not really a secret but it isn't easy to find either. There's no signs or anything.
A 20 minute uphill trek takes you to the entrance of the fort. If you watched my video with the Jaipur rickshaw driver, this is the walk that my rickshaw driver said was impossible. It wasn't impossible, just a big effort. An even bigger effort for me as I was trying to run away from my Indian stalkers on the way up there.
While the overall structure of Jaigarh Fort is less impressive than Amer Fort it has one of the most amazing views I've ever seen. Jaigarh Fort looks down over Amer Fort as it was actually built to protect it.
There wasn't much inside the fort but I was entertained thanks to one of the security guards who became my unofficial guide. This is quite a common thing to happen at these types of places in India. The guards get paid low wages but make a decent sum on the side by giving tourists a lot of extra information about the place.
These guys usually walk up to you and start giving you unsolicited information about the place. They never ask first if you want to hire them for a guide or for what price. I wouldn't really call that a scam as it's pretty obvious what they're doing and you can get rid of them pretty easily if you don't want their services. They do always ask for more money no matter what you pay them though. It's standard to give them 100 - 200 rupees.

Hey Dale, you had missed the other half part of Jaigarh fort, specially "JAIVAAN" the world's largest canon on wheel.
Security guard is in the wrong job lol. He's a very enthusiastic tour guide.
And he was bored sitting there,,,, glad he found dale and some excitement.
lol😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂@@pskylo4760
I can't stop smiling when that man said "Ladies! Ladies! Ah... Whiskey!"
LOL that was really good LOL
I agree that was pretty hilarious. I couldn't quit laughing 😂
With limited English words he was trying his best but hilarious
Haha🤣
Really funny🤣😂😂
India has got so many splendid places to visit, ...govt needs to properly promote and advertise these ancient architectural wonders to the world.India isn't just about visiting Taj Mahal.......Forts of rajasthan, caves of ajanta ellora, ruins of Hampi will put some of present 7 wonders of world to shame!

I’m amazed at the scale of it. Imagine the man hours and hard labour to build it all.
about the time and man-hours it takes to make 5 tall skyscrapers in today's time
1000 plus years of continuous Islamic invasion. The maharaja (King) had to build the huge fort.
It's near impossible work for today's engineer to build such type of marvelous fort with new machinery also...
You can see why almost all indians are engineers lol
Slaves buddy!!
Guide: “Heavy ladies” followed by dubious gesturing
Dale: “no I like slimline” 😂😂
slimline in elephant pants! lol
LOL
Haha🤣😂
ooiiii oooiii ooooiiiii....??...!!..🙄🙄😆😆
Slimline = boyish 😆
I have never seen a tourist guide acting so fast he did well in his own peculiar way I enjoyed it and the views were absolutely fantasic. Thank you for this episode. :-)
Dale You are such a kind man. The way you treat people is really generous . Hope you have great time in india. Plus sorry for those weirdo
Just found u Dale in the last week. A vlogger with a bit of character at last. Says it how it is and is not vanilla.
Thanks for not being boring.
My pleasure mate.
Have been living in India for 27 years and seen and explored more through your videos in one week that I have done in actual life...not in terms of number of cities but in terms of exploring tourist and historical spots...
LOL me too. I never step foot outside of south India
Down down left
Left side tunnel 😂
Incredible views 😍
Hi
As the guide is doing his thing Dale thinking what’s this character going to charge me for all this 😂😂
LOL
His name is Man singh

13:30 how he is explaining ladies ladies whisky 🤣🤣🤣
Oh😱 Amazing place 🇮🇳 👌👍
You are a wonderful traveler .
Good luck my friend dale💪 🇱🇰
Thank you! 😃
You should have gotten that security guard to take you to some off limit areas where normal tourists wouldn't be allowed to enter. Might as well make the tip worth it!
Dale, I am grateful for your strong legs and strong heart you made it to the top all I can say is that is bloody smashing what a view.
Heavy women... Wow hahah.
That guide was really into heavy women. :')
Lol
Big huge heavy woman
Oeh ahh oeh ahhhh nice hahaha
😂
Rs 200, what a generous tip...just never thought I would see those elephant pants again 😁😁
Brilliant! Honestly Dale this and your other videos beats any staged travel shows you get on mainstream tv. Looks quite a climb up to the fort but no problem for two strong legs. Liked the super speed guided tour with the big ladies and what a view!
Thanks mate, I just make the type of videos I'd want to watch myself.
That's why they are so good , honest and real. I dont know much about cameras but do you use a standard Go pro or is it a more a specialist type?
Love ur videos Iam ur FAN FROM EAST AFRICA 👉🏻TANZANIA🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
Wow, I didn't know people were watching me in Tanzania. Thanks :)

I’ve been to India 6 times and I expected to return in 2020 for kumbh in haridwar but along came Covid. Now I watch vlogs to satisfy myself,I miss india and my friends there. Jaipur is one of my favourite places. It’s a fabulous place, great shopping, lovely people, awesome food. Everyone should visit Jaipur when going to india
Looking to host you if interested
Hey Dale, you're really a nice person.... that's really very generous behaviour of letting people take selfies with you. I see many foreigners getting annoyed when people asks for a pic with them, which is completely fine but your attitude is great man !
You and Harald Baldr are best vlogers in the world

Your Scottish accent and the linguistic ambiguity with the guard are the highlights 🤣🤣🤣
Felt like robbed by our guide. He didn’t take us to any of those places when we went to Jaigarh fort, all I can remember is that massive cannon on the top of the hill. Views were amazing tho.
photo photo, good good.
besides cannon ...there is lot many other things to see there
Same we went there 2 days back and all we were shown was that canon.
Brilliant video Dale. The adventures you’ve had so far look amazing, keep them coming! 🇬🇧
Thanks, will do!
Uhhh anyone else who visited jaigarh is bothered by the fact that he missed to check out the giant cannon "jayban"?
It is one of the biggest cannons and the shooter had to jump in a pool of water to avoid any ear rapture after burning the fuse,
Last time it was fired it's ball fell kilometres away, creating a big enough hole to form a pond where it impacted, and the people live near that pond.
Amazing guide hahaha 😂😂😂
200 is fair.
He's making a living for his family.
I mostly do give a tip same as a taxi drive price,
Thisone made it a marathon, he likes peppers, spicy foods and voluptuous large wimen 😆 😂
I laughed so much at the heavy ladies' man 😂
The Jaivan Canon can move 360degree and is still active . It fired only once, 60 km.away. these forts were watch towers.
The guard gave you a grand tour with all details. Nice chap.
Wow what an amazing view, and i must say i was getting anxious for you with those guy's following you, I know it's a month old but I'm still catching up, brilliant as always my friend 👏
I don't think they were following him for some reason,it's becoz they themselves r looking way to Jaigarh fort.
Well done mate ! A great video for sure ! These stalkers/scammers are so annoying ,but you've done a great job trying to get rid of 'em !
Brilliant - The Scotsman has posted, Ill be viewing that later with my sons here in lockdown from the UK 🇬🇧 👍
Stay safe everyone. 🙏
Enjoy mate :)
"DALE : this is the fastest tour i ever had " ,LOL
Amer fort, as per the locals, has a lot of secret underground tunnels some of which are locked by the government to stop people from venturing in them. It is said that one of the tunnels from here leads to a place almost 30 km away from the fort.
Even you can see a lot of stairs going here and there without light and having a very steep slope. Normally these are what the people refer to when saying underground secret tunnels.
15:55 ladies ladies...ahh ahhh....heavy ladies....ahh ahhha.🤣🤣🤣🤣
He should open his own channel
17:50 hahahahaha dale you got me there 😂
Jai gharh has the cannon , called jaivan tope.. That's made of seven mentals and can never get rusted. . Jaigharh was the state foundry where the weapons were made.
They have water reserve, where rain water is collected that can take care for thousands of people around the year.
That was an incredible view! I liked the guide also, he was funny.
20:53 interestingly that would be his daily salary..200 rs a day...so he has to do side gigs to feed himself
To be honest, yes. They are privately hired guards for minimal 5000-6000 rs. 80$ a month i believe
This was my video to watch before i sleep tonight its 5am for me in 2 minutes and i quite enjoy watching a video from you , so look forward to the next one :D
Late one today only just watched it now! Great vid mate shared your video and channel aswell
Very good video,. It lets people travel to the fort with you and away from worries for a while. Keep up the good work.
Well worth watching this vid with Dale in Jaipur/Amer, my partner and I was there just back in January 2020, we loved it so much, a wonderful place to visit.
Dale, great vid as per usual, keep them legs strong and yourself during these dark days of Covid-19, but India and yourself in these vids help brighten everyone’s days.
Thank you 🙏
Mark and the family self isolating in 🇬🇧
Well that's great hope you visit India again👍🇮🇳
Beautiful hope you have great time in India and be safe! :)
That was indeed the fastest tour ever, by that security guard. Well done for keeping your eyes out for "dodgy" characters. Stay safe.
I’m starting to think that the guard at Jaigarh might have liked ladies 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂😂
Gordylordy 😂 Dancing, ladies, ahhh
Don't forget the whiskey.
I was nervous for you it appeared that you were followed by so many there....your adventures are so interesting...Viv

Dale, your videos are too entertaining. Keep the amazing content coming 🔥
You got up there faster than the average tourist probably! I don't think there's anything wrong with your stamina Dale, it's probably the hight difference with the thinner air that gets to you :D Been waiting for this video! Verri good verri good! haha awesome guard!
Good way to find your way to the tunnel. Sometimes the directions are unclear. Good video!!👍
Was there 4 years ago. Brought back memories. Wonderful!
Wow your two strong legs , I m tired after watching five minutes like am walking with u 😅 I like ur energy Dale , great video 👍
I own a very old match lock musket that originated from that place. They released loads of them in the 70s, its around 200 years old. Fascinating to see where it came from. Great video.
You do realize the entrance fees you pay go towards maintenance and staffing. When you complain about being overcharged you should be embarrassed. Especially when it's less than 3 dollars.
You should feel embarrassed for supporting racist pricing.
@@Dale_Philip Racist? It's pricing based on income. Do you know what the local population earns in month. Get your head out of your ass.
It is rasist pricing. If that in Netherland happens then the whole Netherland will be protest.
It is not based on the income. You never know how much money people earns.
Discrimination is you treat people differently based on in this case the countries you came from.
It's not fair. Dale is right!!!
@@nevykoekie4963 yes but here in India it's not so. Indians are special to india. Because no country cares about us anyway lol. Its more like Indians got it lowe price. If the price is too high, Indians will boycott, so the fort had no other option but to keep it low for Indians atleast. Yes I feel your pain anyway. You don't encounter this very often tho.
My Favorite Vlogger.
How humble and care

The tunnel and the route to Jaigarh remind me of a movie I watched as a kid, Labyrinth!
Come to think of it the guard/guide is kind of like the sleazy troll guy in Labyrinth!
Awesome palace views ! Funny guide!
