We could have more options if we had smaller passenger/cargo stations and underground passenger train stations. Trains are just not that flexible with the 2 assets we have
I agree that there should be a variety of stations, small, medium, and large.
They know it and did it on purpose, they will make a DLC for that
@@mrsupremegascon I think what tcniatcniatcnia is saying, and what I'm saying is, we don't need a plethora of stations - just a few options. :)
CS1 also only had a few options back in 2015, but over time more stations came to the base game/with DLC.
If only we had a way to MOD more stations in. Maybe if they add MOD SUPPORT.
Please, COLOSSAL ORDER, I WANT this game to work so badly! But the community is now realizing how serious the problems are. So many creators have realized that it just doesn't seem like the player's actions really matter. And Imperatur's video showing that you can delete all the transit lines and that it has no impact on the city is incredibly damning. It is clear that there are serious flaws/bugs in the way many parts of the simulation are working now. That makes it feel like the entire simulation is an illusion, and right now there doesn't seem to be much evidence to the contrary. I know you've admitted small things like saying you recognize that some aspects of the economy aren't working as they should. Those admissions are a start, but the overall tone still seems to be a defensive one, suggesting there's no really serious overall problem, and focusing on whether there's going to be another "Word of the Week" or whatever.
There just doesn't seem to be any urgency in your tone (both about fixing the bugs, and about getting the mods and assets workshop working). There should be urgency, and we should see that urgency. Because the situation IS urgent for this game now. This is not the time for releasing a video on "Inspirational Builds" (all due respect to Czardus)... this is the time for honest videos about what you're doing to fix this.
This game is sinking at the moment, and it could bring CO down with it. This is what needs to happen to avoid that outcome:
>You need to truly push the "reset" button.
>You need to take the tone of humility that Biffa mentioned in his recent video.
>That message needs to be strong enough in its tone that the community knows you've had your "come to Jesus" moment.
>You need to admit the problems are massive.
>You need to be transparent about what you can or cannot fix.
>You need to provide a rock solid (and specific) timetable for when those fixes are coming.
>And all of that needs to happen fast. Really fast.
That's the only way you're going to pull this out of the downward spiral it is on right now. I speak as someone who frequently defended the game previously, and (prior to launch) I often commented on videos about my trust in CO and confidence CO would get it right.
Please get it right now. The city builder genre depends on it.

@@marekkos3513 "The players don't _understand_ how the game works." Don't worry, they don't even listen to you. They know exactly what they do. The big corporations always _know_ better.

A player understands

I can't wait until we get more assets because the current passenger train station is WAY too large and clunky, and there's no elevated options.
I don't understand why the game is so US orientated for a company that's European.
@@antonwulp You and me both.
not saying that smaller train station assets wouldnt be great to have but i dont think big train stations are an issue that hinders gameplay much or they way you cna build your city. I have yet to see a city posted where the builder said that they ran out of space to build on the map because the 5 or so train stations they built take up too much space.
@@JWegers That's not the issue. Aesthetics and realism is. Most train stations around the world do not have space for 6 parallel tracks. It would be nice to have a smaller one for intermediate stops with just 2 or 3 tracks for example, as well as a smaller building and general footprint, which is a nice segue to the point that the train station itself's size is really a symptom of a larger problem with the assets in the game; Their footprints are just way too large and spread out for seemingly little reason. It makes any kind of density unnecessarily difficult to accomplish. Especially with the terrain of most of the default maps clearly not being suited for assets who's footprints are large flat spaces.
@@antonwulp Perhaps because that's where most of the player base is?
Is there anything to plan? I mean there is no real simulation.
Honestly I love this game and want it to succeed but transportation is an issue where it feels superficial. You can delete all the bus lines or tram and your city will function like nothing happened. Also traffic flow is constantly at 60%
whats wrong with 60%
@wyntoniscringe Well being stuck at 60% You can't tell if your traffic fixes are working or if the simulation is registering the traffic properly
@@blackineese honestly I don't look at the traffic flow, I just look at where it's actually backing up, and see if the cars are moving more and stopping less.
@wyntoniscringe Yeah I do that too but ah a glance I look at that first to see if there is a problem (habbot from cs1) and if there is I look to find where it is to solve it. Cause when my city gets big I can't go searching every street to find where ots backing up. And if I fix that it may bottle neck elsewhere. So the traffic flow chart helps to know if I am doing it right instead of creating an issue elsewhere.
@@blackineese true
Hopefully I can do this when I can create more subway interchanges. Making networks that have no ability to transfer, train stations with a fraction of the platforms I need, train stations that are way too big for the community (what if I only want 1 platform instead of 3), and lack of elevated light rail stations really hurts the transit building experience.
I agree that there should be a variety of stations, small, medium, and large.
You can create elevated light rail stations fairly easily with normal roads with tram tracks and pedestrian paths. Looks great as well, even over other roads!
@@marius100mark got a link to an example?
Bring back steam workshop!
WE NEED SMALL AND LEVELED TRAIN STATIONS
I'll come back after Paradox mods and some dlc and way more assets and bug fixes have come out. Hopeful they'll make this game fun
See you in 2028

Please make an explanation on how to make a proper cargo network. It always ends up clogging on the entries to cargo stations/ports no matter how many entry points there are.
Pls add lane connectors (or atleast arrows), actually useful stop and yield signs (why does it apply to all roads), and road naming and editing system like in cs1 (with traffic routes view)
I love cs1 and 2 but i think everybody agrees that cs2 is not reaching the requirements for "the most realistic city builder" that well
I think that would be too complex for most casual players, and so I think that's why they're leaving it to mods.
what mods?!?! lmao. They don't even have a spiritual successor to TMPE in the Thunderstore.@@wyntoniscringe
with out traffic planner, its difficult to plan transport networks properly
Just curious, not disagreeing, but how?
@@wyntoniscringe like I can't tell where the traffic is coming from, at one point I guessed that I needed an inter city bus route by the fact I had a line of a gazillion taxi trying to enter my city so I could trace the taxi lines to determine where to build public transport. other wise I wouldn't know where people are coming and going
Console? Still no word on consoles ever since it got delayed. The only word we really received was “The team is hard on work with console”
I canceled my pre-order. Such a shame. It's OK that they want to work more on it, but at least communicate with us.
They shouldn’t have announced it .. way to early this game was not ready by any means
yeah buddy this thing is running at like 29 fps on a 3070, no way it’s coming to console anytime soon 💀
This doesn't fix the broken simulation part of the game.
I want to love this game as I love building games - its just "meh" for me. no planning is really needed. you can just plonk stuff down and get money and there's very little effect on things. missing anything? doesnt matter as its just pulled in from outside the map
The simulation is actually much deeper than you think, especially with the economy. I think "buying" services is only realistic if you want to have a small town with no big power plants. This is just my opinion and you can have your own. Not everyone will like this game and thats ok.
@@wyntoniscringei don’t think we’re related
@@wyntoniscringe so where is the collapse of the city when I mess with the tax rates or shut off key services in a big city? it all just carries on as if nothing happened. It might be really clever and smart and with mathematically excellent economy modelling, but when things don't really have a material impact, the game is "meh". If i mess things up, the city should collapse not just soldier on as if nothing happened.
What is offical site to give feedback..?
Well here it is,Give us steam workshop. If you du that CO then you have lot of time improve game code and get players back. We like to bee creative and for that need workshop now. I promise If you have steam workshop alredy day 1 you Would not get that hate and bad feedback so much.
Bring back the steam workshop
4 months with no information about the console version
Such a great idea to use the pathways to plan your rail route. Love CS2.
This road system needs tons of more intersections so we can also get better creating our own.
Would have loved this video if it showed how to get roads over or under trains tracks and looking great at the same time (with detailing). That's what you see in the core of many American cities.
We really need some smaller stations, it owuld have been nice if the station started with just the 2 platforms and no other lines so we have a smaller and more inexpensive starting option that we can also place in smaller locations that do not warrant a larger station that takes up such a huge footprint. Elevated and sunken stations would also be fantastic to have as well to acomadate some more dense city layouts as well.
Some good tips here thanks 👌
There is also a technique to make elevated stations by raising ground and looks very cool in areas with sky scrappers
In CS, What type of passenger transport is suitable for each distance or class?
Cargo trains running backwards should be fixed asap, I literally can't stand seeing that. Also, maybe a more modular approach for later down the road with non-electrified tracks and high-speed tracks could be interesting!
When's console out .. disappointed
My International Airport has broken rail connection. It works only one way so there is no way to connect with any line..
When will CS2 be released on console?
Can't plan a network when none of it actually works and trains disappear and don't even follow the routes you plan.
I think the trains you see that aren't on the lines you plan are outside connection to outside connection trains, and you should click on the train to confirm.
Can we get some more detailed transit tips like we got for CS1?
What happened to the xbox
The team is working hard on the console version! We will share more about console as soon as we can.
@@CitiesSkylines love that you're engaging with the commenters! Thank you!
@@CitiesSkylinesDo you have more than a generic copy paste answer?
@@thelawyer95 I do see you! We do our best to change up the phrasing of "as soon as we can say more, we will", but most of all we're also itching to get to that point where we have more to share. Stay tuned!
@@thelawyer95 I haven't even bought the game yet. However, I am someone who works on projects a lot and while this might not be the most satisfying answer from the company, it's probably reflective of the reality. They probably are working hard on getting out the console version, but things can go wrong and dates can get pushed back. It's not always easy managing multiple things at the same time. I'm happy they replied to you!
Kind of a side point, but I don't know if we've ever discussed the logo or how it came about 🤔 something that just crossed my mind 🤷🏿♀️
Calling it skylines II might be overselling it.
It is more like Skylines 0.5
I mean even bicycles are gone xD
All this stuff that was in one.... gone :( i am sad
I'm not playing till bicycles are back.
I put my railyard 2 blocks from downtown haha
Trains are too expensive when you can just make longer metro. Its so stupid
It’s all well and good, but what’s the point of building a railway when the simulation just slows right down when you start to grow your population beyond the 50k mark? The game is so slow
Bro we want custom Train Assets, but there are none. :(
When is the console version releasing
Steam workshop please
They're using Paradox Mods, which aparrently is better
@@wyntoniscringe Well colossal who is game Maker could still give us workshop and let us to be greative.. that Would bring players back !

Hey can u please start making cities skylines 2 molbile edition im waiting to play it!
Is the game still buggy and unfinished, or is it well playable nowadays?
Unfortunately, there are still some bugs and a lack of content. However, it's playable, and I personally like it
when will DLC come?
Look at the roadmap
Should be sometime in the spring
also curve should not be more than radius 45

It's best looking ugly game there is. Look at all that grass just jarring and characterless. Repeating patterns and models. Majorly a step down from the first in every way, everything in this video is better and more fun in the original.
This is not a simulator. This game for kids, it's terrible, i bought this game....
