- In this video I go over how I built my XR80 shifter kart that I plan to use for drifting. This was a perfect first project for a novice fabricator like myself. The project was finished over a 2 month period. I am very stoked with how the kart runs! Stay tuned for more drift videos.

Thanks for sharing! Looking to learn how to do fabrication and welding. So my 9months old son can have a drift kart by the time he is 7 😂
What engine do you recommend for my trackmagic frame? I'm a big guy and my hip is right over the inner tube on the engine side of the frame. Was going with the preditor but the motor is a bit too wide and will hang out too much I think. Thanks and awesome videos.

How can I start to build a drift go kart? Now don't judge me but I don't want to use PVC to slide the back end out just straight burn rubber purposes you know and is there a way to have a foot pedal clutch
What engine did you buy for this? And how much was it?

If you were doing this yourself, this is probably a $600 build (excluding tools).

Speaking from experience, if you're using a 212 and 10 inch PVC, run a 4.4 gear ratio or close to it. Good mix of torque and top speed.
How is that small motorcycle called or whatever is it?
