I saw a sample. It was a really tough sell.
I wonder if this is based on that book. I tend to want to read first then see movie adaptations. If this is a film adaptation I might get the book first. I am highly curious what the husband did. The trailer says he was found innocent of something. Kevin Bacon does great in horror movies. I do get a stir of echoes vibe too. And oddly the age gap between the spouses doesn't bother me as much as some in the comments. I kinda think they look good together in the context of the characters at least.

I really liked this film. It had interesting cinematography. It was certainly psychological. It is a good play on the ole' haunted house genre.
This gives me Stir of Echos meets What Lies Beneath vibes. I loved both movies, and Kevin, so I'll give it a go.

I wasn't bothered by the age gap. Many love interests in books and film are not the same age. And in the context of the characters they looked good together. It looked no different than any other family in a horror movie. And a 30 year age gap isn't the biggest I have seen in films.

I love Amanda and I love Kevin although he often played the bad guys in movies. In my opinion he's to underrated. Would like to see him more often :-)
I see people commenting about Amanda Seyfried and Kevin Bacon's age differences, and while I would usually agree with this complaint, I think judging from the line at 0:11 it looks like their age difference is going to play a part in the movie's plot/mystery. There's room here for the movie to be making a commentary on the trope of older men being cast alongside much younger actresses in Hollywood. At the very least they don't leave it unsaid or leave Kevin Bacon's age ambiguous, they actually acknowledge it, which is more than a lot of movies/ tv shows do with large age gaps between actors who are playing love interests. Idk though, I haven't seen this movie, it might suck, this was just my two cents.
