It is later to be revealed he actually wasn’t scared, he was experiencing things that his wife and him has experienced. His wife died from cancer and he always loved her even though the neighbors believed he abused her. It’s very sad
this is total crap...the guy with the long hair was obsessed...he wanted revenge...he rang the bell that his sick wife use to do...they invaded in the man personal life in his house... I hope all those teenagers see this...its a movie...but playing with ppl life are serious..and in the end 2 years probation... really

Ethan and Sean are arrested and sentenced to two years' probation and 500 hours community service. Leaving the courthouse, Ethan is surrounded by a slew of reporters and cameras. Having finally gained the attention he admitted to craving in an earlier scene, a slight smile appears on his face. When I first read the summary for the plot of this film I thought it was a live action production of Monster House with a different name. That movie was all of my childhood.
When they smashed his window glass and this poor old man was freezing all the night then i start feeling very sad for him... and i was sure this man was very good man and no Psycho.. and in the end i was right.. it was sad end for him.. Very nice movie!!

This movie is actually really good. It had so many psychological aspects to it that just make you wonder what is gonna happen and as the story unfold you feel sorry for the man and the ending hit me hard.
I know I'm behind the times. Just now watched this movie. . Was so amazed how good it was. Yet it was only given a 6 out of 10. I felt it deserved at least a 9. Encouraged my son's to watch this with my pre teen grandsons. A good one to debate, discuss and learn lessons over. If you haven't seen it. It's very interesting and fast paced.
