The BBC getting rid of Clarkson, destroying Top Gear entirely, set themselves on the road to irrelevancy, destroying their most profitable show. Whilst Clarkson is set to have a very wealthy retirement earning far more, making shows he wants to make.
I think what makes Clarkson's Farm so good is that it approaches farming like Top Gear approached the DIY portions of motoring. That "How hard can it be?" mentality that proves it can be pretty tough, with hilarity ensuing the whole way.
An orangutan driving a tractor has been more entertaining than 10 years of 300 million dollar Hollywood movies. My only complaint is how short each season is.
So Prime originally canceled Clarkson’s Farm due to comments Jezza had made about Megan Markle on a op-ed, but the continued ratings success of The Grand Tour specials and the massive success of season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm lead to Prime backpedaling and ordering another 4 seasons of the show and three more Grand Tour specials (the final special airs later this year, and it’s them taking Oliver back to Botswana).
People want authenticity, and Big Tech is offering A.I and virtual reality. It shouldn't be a mystery to anyone why Clarkson's Farm or Dirty Jobs have such mass appeal.
I heard that some executive within Amazon said if they have to replace Clarkson the show would still be successful because their opinion was that the shows success comes from the concept and not the host. Some people should not allowed near jobs like that.
All my farmer neighbours here in SW France mention Clarkson’s Farm and think it’s doing a great job of showing French audiences just how difficult farming can be as well as reminding them where all their food comes from.
My mother - who died nearly 2 years ago - absolutely loved Clarkson's Farm. She was quite vocal about disliking Clarkson prior to that, but something about that show endeared itself (and him, a bit) to her. I suspect there was maybe some element of taking pleasure in his misfortune, and "Oh you silly man!" - but all I know is that it brought her a lot of laughs while fighting cancer, and that was priceless.
What makes it addictive is the genuineness of Clarkson and all the rest of the cast. Granted, their personalities are probably exaggerated a little bit for the sake of comedy or tv; but nothing over the top or exaggerated. I'm happy for Jeremy in finding peace and success over something like this, even if The Grand Tour will likely not be continuing after this season due to Jeremy and James advancing ages.
The last episode was my favorite Caleb episode. It showed how much he cared for the farm, the job, and the overall industry. As someone who is the same age as he is, I admire the guy. He's the type of person that we need more of in the current generation.
No show has ever made me hate the government more than Clarkson's Farm.

Jeremy is NOT an idiot. He PLAYS one, but he's actually smart as f
Favorite clip so far is

Friendly reminder that the BBC passed on this show, thank the Lord 😂

If Amazon wants to turn Rings of Power around, they just need to cast James May as Galadriel, Clarkson as Sauron and Hammond as Elrond
The interaction between Clarkson and Caleb is absolute comedy gold.

Watching Jeremy’s slow descent into full on Ron Paul Libertarianism has been amazing.
love how clarksson called Amazon out on DEI, he used 50 shades of grey men lol

I've gained new respect for farmers watching this show. It's amazing how much we take them for granted yet we're so dependent on them.
Didn't expect Drinker to talk about Jeremy Clarkson today
