I love what umbrella has been doing lately. They’ve really set themselves up this year as one of the labels to keep up with.
Umbrella's releases, for me at least, more than make up for the Mouse Factory ditching Australia.
I just watched one of their latest ones, Ribspreader, a local Adelaide movie (like Talk To Me) which is probably Australia's first splatterpunk flick. It feels like a local Troma production to the extent of Lloyd Kaufman doing a cameo. Without Umbrella, that movie wouldn't get a blu ray release (which BTW is not region-locked).
The boutique labels here have broadened my knowledge of cinema in the best way. More strength to them.
I love buying physical media. I usually avoid the giant box sets with stuff in them since they take up so much room. I do have the Matrix box set with the Neo bust in a clear case. I bought it on sale in the last days of Media Play.
Thank you for turning me onto Umbrella Heath. These limited editions are among some of the best releases. They are knocking it out of the park!

Lol. I knew Possesion would be difficult to show off on youtube with the box art. Thankfully the art cards and book were largely YT friendly.

I just picked up Umbrella’s older BD release of “Suspiria” because a deaf friend needed a copy with subtitles. I got it from Amazon and when it came it said “no subtitles” on the packaging. So, I opened it and tried it on three players and oddly it does have subtitles (just have to do them from the remote). The movie played on my XBox, a BD player, and a 4K player, but the special features (which my friend probably wouldn’t watch) would not play. I have no idea if that’s typical, typical of their older releases, or I got a boot. Anyway, it does what I want, so it’s still going to be his Christmas gift.
Oh, that's what made it big. It has fewer media than the Friday the 13 colleciton series.
The Dune set is ALMOST a 10/10 release BUT they only include the building instructions as a QR code when they could’ve easily put them in the book and the box is mostly just empty space when you take the brick set out, it really didn’t need to be that big. Those bump it down to an 8/10 for me.

The Digital Bits is reporting possible regional coding playback issues with the Possession 4K. Have you had any problems playing it?
I just started it up on both my Panasonic and Sony players and it seems to play fine. Not sure why the reviewer was having issues.
Watching it currently with no issues. Looks great! Perfect film grain, blood is deep red

@@jeffreyhilliker9592No HDR, and the transfer they used isn’t considered by fans of the film to be the best. Second Sight will be the better of the two.
