- Complete stream of the sixth and final event from the Strongman competition at the 2022 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas. Stone Over Hitching Post was the final and deciding event last year, as Martins Licis edged out Oleksii Novikov for the title. This year, the same event again stood as Novikov’s final obstacle to becoming Rogue Invitational Strongman champion. Could the Ukrainian get it done in the face of new challenges from Texan Trey Mitchell and Canadian Mitchell Hooper?
Stone Weights: 275LBS, 300LBS, 365LBS, 400LBS, 420LBS

I wish the WSM would post the events this fast. Good for Rogue. They know how to treat the fans and athletes
What, are you saying that shown on tv many months after the fact, cut up into small pieces and heavily edited isn't as good as this?
@@baconfromhell666 literally couldn't sum it up any better
One day they'll learn. SMH

thanks mate
Thanks man!
10/10 thankyou dude

The yoke/press was exactly 6.
Pavlo needs a good coach. His technique was all over the place. The potential of the man is crazy.
I think Pavlo have the same coach as Oleksii
He probably is being coached right but the guy just started strongman. It’s not just about strength you need technique and that takes time

We need Brian on commentary for this event or better yet the whole show. Oh well, hearing his perspicacity on two events was icing on the cake.
No, thank you. Those 2, were 2 more than what we need to hear from him....
Yes we do
@@Marooo92 I guess you prefer Colin Bryce then, who adds nothing to the entire commentary and even total silence would be better.
@@bru7alismLol, absolutely not. Colin is the worst. I just don't need anyone else except Loz as a "technical" (is that how you say it in English?) commentator.
Brian much better than loz .....he has to keep talking about himself 😴😴😴😴😴
Another fantastic competition presented by Rogue. Once again setting the gold standard for Strongman Competition. And the highest prize money to boot. Well done.
- Great commentators - serious and respectful towards athletes, with an actual former competitor, not trying to be stand up comedians like WSM commentators
- We see every athlete's attempt and a replay each time with analysis
- All the information the viewer needs is on screen - time to beat, time remaining, weights clearly displayed, leaderboard of weights etc.
- Great split screen, can see all the action from each athlete when they go head to head, not focusing on just one or going back and forth
- Live streamed so we can watch as it happens, no paywall, video available on demand immediately if missed livestream
- Unique and innovative events, each piece of equipment/stage is beautifully constructed
- Great atmosphere outdoors in a stadium
- Lots of rest for athletes between events
- No backstage politics/drama/favourtism
- Overall very organized and professional
This should be regarded as the modernized Superbowl of Strongman.

Couldn't have been said any better; great points! Even though it's only the second year of the strongman invitational, Rogue has pretty much nailed putting on a strongman comp
Trey didn’t even let the stones touch the hitch, such unbelievable power. He basically threw the first three!
Edit: HUGE congrats to Novikov, he clearly wanted to win so badly for his country. He deserves it. Can’t wait for Pavlo to improve too, the guy is basically a Slavic Thor with tons of potential. Happy to see Ukraine producing such awesome contenders
Rogue does a great show. Ukraine has heavy hitters
I'm so happy for Novikov. He is my favourite strongman.
I'm super happy for Novikov and I hope Martins gets healthy soon.

The live stream was great. Thanks Rogue. Brian and Loz were excellent together.
Ok, gotta give credit where credit is due. Thanks Rogue for a great competition. Maybe best I've watched.
Great events. - really tested all around, so much up and down in the rankings. Kept it exciting to the end. Weights were perfect. Every event had some who couldn't finish, but not so insane either.
Great commentator choices
Great coverage.
And free besides!
Absolutely, it's so great to see a competition like this done so well in every way. The sport deserves it and Rogue delivered. Also I think it's worth noting that the refereeing was good and consistent too, MVM referees a lot so that's not unique, but it's yet another piece of the puzzle Rogue got right.
Mitch Hooper looks not big but does everything so good. Amazing
Little guys here are Novikov, Kearney and Faires. Hooper is probably around 150kg.

This has quickly become my favorite strongman show. Keep up the awesome work
Wide Pavlo is reminiscent of Kieliszkowski, just a few years younger. He's got insane potential, hopefully we see a lot more of him at this sort of contest (ideally against competition including a healthy Mateusz!).
Kieliszkowski will butcher him, except for the deadlift, issue with Pavlo is his technique, relies on raw power way way to much, this is why Oleksii and Tom have won WSM
@@petershortland478 That's true now, but that's why it's potential. If Wide Pavlo had technique comparable to Novikov or Licis then he'd be unbelievable. He has got a lot of work to put in, hence why I want to see him at more of these shows so he competes against the best and learns from them.
It's a shame there isn't a bigger crowd. I'd love to go to something like this if it were in the UK.
Dude. Giants live does shows EVERYWHERE in the UK. Look up their itinerary, they post the whole schedule
UK does have some shows yes but I can never get there as they're always hundreds of miles away from where I live. I'm a full time carer for my disabled daughter so would need somewhere a lot closer to be able to attend.
Just thought it was a shame the crowd wasn't bigger to support these guys, they deserve it.

Can we just enjoy sport without bringing politics into it?
@@GHP99 politics? If your neighboring country bomb your city. Murder your people. Is that called politics?
@@GHP99 oleksii is pretty heavily involved in defending his nation, pretty impossible to seperate it.
@@MasoNowa Pretty heavily involved? Is he stationed close to danger? Has he seen death up close or taken life? Because I know others like Usyk are stationed far away from where the fighting is happening.
I doubt severely that he’d be able to eat enough to maintain his mass or have the facilities to train if he was anywhere near the frontlines.
@@jimsim8736 LOL he was definetly involved, got to know how to fire weapons and was there in Kiev jst before leaving for the Arnolds´. his role has been more of bringing masses to the army and support through his media lately and the man literaly does not shut about it, as he should
It is so great to see Trey continue to get better year over year and compete well at such a high level.

Oleksii using that towel in his belt for extra grip. What a smart guy!
Novikov seems to have highest IQ of all strongmen I have ever seen. He deeply understands how to maximize efficiency on every lift. Pudzianowski was also very high IQ strongman, but Novikov seems to have mastered strongman efficiency

Event 5 cost Mitchell 2 points due to that log lift not been given and would have put Novikov one place down in the event losing a point.... (3 point swing) Either Way, they're two great men....!
Just Hooper winning 2 events of 6 and one of them by DAYLIGHT, was amazing!
SO much potential for a great future.
i hope they eventually incorporate replays that can overturn calls like in other sports. That way they could have just used the time after that 3rd lift, because he definitely locked out sufficiently compared to the other competitors lifts.

Odd is a LEGEND!
Martins may be a little too heavy?
Pavlo kept fighting, loves his hunger, somebody, please coach him! p.s. why he is so slim and shredded this time, what's that for?
I burst out laughing when Pavlo tried to lift the last stone.
They should take the height advantage out of events like this, make the posts movable an make it chest height or something like that for each competitor.
Its 50". The shortest is Kearney and it should not be an issue with him.
Genial 👍
if Trey Mitchell would have been allowed the second lift what would the standings be then because it seemed like a good lift
First lift. It was not a good lift. All Treys fault. Next time hold the log overhead another 1 second until that down signal pops up ( fair game ).
Great competition. I wonder how Pavlo will do in the future. He looks like a beast.
Melsted let's good!!!! I am not going forward. Watching the whole event. I am excited lol and late
What did he say at the end?
Put Loz as commentator on all big shows!
No way
He almost is. He commentates tons of huge shows.....
First great performance by all athletes and Novikov in winning the title, it was a great showing!
The timekeeper repeatedly hitting Licis possibly injured arm/bicep, really was hard to watch.
Other than that, again a great performance by all athletes
Who is the guy with Eythor? He looks soo familiar is he a retired strongman? I think so but I just can't figure it out
That's Stefán Pétursson. He competed a few years back yes.
Not sure if you're taking about Stefan Solvi Peterson, but it's probably him. Former Iceland's number 1 before Hafthor's era began. Now, not really sure why he's retired. He seems still pretty young, why he's not competing for so many years is a mistery.
He's somewhere between Stefan Solvi and Benny Magnusson, that's why
He's the guy in the gym when Martins had the videos with Thor.
@c a m Well as a Scandinavian who visited Iceland, all men under 6"0 are short relative to others.
Not all are Hafthors but there is a ludicrious amount of men over 6 foot (and women over 5"7)

Yes, yes, Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Ukrainians and f*ck russia (ok, technically it wasn't "f*ck", but I don't know how to translate it exactly. it's a filthy language and pizdec here means "the really bad end" (and I mean a REALLY bad), not sure how exactly it could be translated, so "f*ck" should be good enough)

A little bit of Black Sabbath, paranoid with the side laterals and some Crazy Train oh yaaaa, Crush!
What would the points be if the judges didn't make mistakes? They helped Martins twice and hurt Trey once
Trey would have won the show if not for that bullshit call
Trey himself told Magnus it was a good call stop crying
Yeah. Because others were allowed doesn't mean wasn't right call for him. I love Trey and really wanted him to win especially after he went full beast mode on those stones, but Novikav showed up for the stones. Simple fact is, they have to wait for the down signal and the judges call it as they see it.
It was not a good lift. All Treys fault. Next time hold the log overhead another 1 second until that down signal pops up ( fair game ). Idk what you mean by helping Martins twice. He didn't even come top 3 anyway.
Congrats to Ukraine!
I slipped a disc just watching this!
Pavlo needs to train technique really bad.
I know Trey won this event but I can see Pavlo taking on Tom S. to become the new "king of the stones." Not right away but with a bit more practice.
@Wappie My guess is that Trey or the Moose will be on the top spot of the podium before Pavlo. That being said, I think with more experience at the "big shows" and a bit more finesse and technique Pavlo could become a scary Juggernaut at a lot of strongman comps.

@Wappie emotions runs hight moments like these, not to mention when ur country man are dying ..
Its not good, but we can understand his feelings.
Novikov belt loop is sticking far out and a rag is wrapped on it to create distance and friction. Why is that allowed?
Martins had the same thing, minus the towel, its not like they were able to rest the stone on the belt. It would only help with getting the stone over the post a tiny bit, if at all. Most of the athletes already didnt have an issue with that part though. The hardest part is lapping the stone which would probably be harder with a belt sticking out.
His belt had no contact with the stones in all the lifts
pretty sure its allowed, Ive seen top teir strongman do it for axel cleans too. But yeh, he definitely uses it to his advantage, and if it were against the rules, surely someone would have called him on it.
btw, you can see at 49:23, Martins pointing to the belt and then Novikov giving the belt back to Romark lol. pretty sure thats Martin's belt he lent to Oleksy XD. Gotta love strongman.
yea just noticed 😲
..thats a serious pull in martins pec..it could be a small tear..hopefully it won't require surgery..
..maybe he should bench more..I know some strongmen treat bench as more a secondary movement ..but if you have a 600 bench .like say pavlo and he might not even have that .I think 585 pavlo has..but it really helps across the board on other events .
..your log press would skyrocket past 400 w a 600 bench..it's really key in this sport ..big Z had close to a 700 bench..if tom stoltman worked on his bench he'd definitely w another wsm title..I think tom doesnt even have a 500 bench .his brother luke might .
Martin Licis coach or cheerleader wanted it more than he did.
