- It must be a lucky sweater because I just keep scoring deals at these thrift shops! I was able to shop in 2 thrift stores today. I found some amazing jackets and sweaters, and some wonderful homewares! It's all in the booth and ready to shop now at The Factory Antique Mall.

I keep seeing Amanda picking up St. John’s bay clothing, but I want to make sure that people aren’t confusing it with St. John. St. John’s bay is a mall brand. St. John is a luxury brand and the pieces are priced in the hundreds and easily into the thousands of dollars. ❤

I have been following you since covid. I taught my Grandson Logan how to play checkers 2 years ago. He was diagnosed with ADHD. He is very good at checkers. Now , he has been diagnosed with Terrets😢. My Mom had a checkers size like rug like the one you have. I would like to buy it if possible. I want to make him the smartest young man with the challenges he has. With some good memories. Please let me know.

The green "devil egg" platter, I received one as a wedding gift and it was titled as a "relish tray" you would put your tiny pickles, olives, etc...along with a few deviled eggs. ❤❤

@@amandasmercantile- Coincidentally, in a very recent CZcams video from Selena at The Vintage Bombshell, she also brought up vintage brooches and how she was coming to like them more. I had started thrifting them several years ago but have not been wearing them much as I subsequently retired and was going out much during Covid. I hopefully will be able to start wearing them more now.
I always wore a brooch on my wool coats. I got a lot of compliments when I did.
@@amandasmercantile They are a good bread and butter item in my booth. They have been selling better now I have them pinned to a dress form. They show better and are easier for the customer to shop. I often will take a category (like Christmas, or cats, or hearts, etc.) and highlight them separately. Brooches are sooo fun! You can pin them to hats, coats, purses, etc.

The silver (plated, presumably) bowls are lotus flowers and the simple one is a classic Paul Revere style. Fun trip with some great finds!

You look good in all of the outerwear. I love the black double breasted coat and the embroidered sweater cardigan, and all of the sweaters especially that one with the purple collar.
Love the acorn chairs and that little flower print. i'm pretty sure those cast iron legs are from hobby lobby at $21.95 each but you can get for 40% off every other week.

As more people see you, I think your numbers are going to go way up. All of the coats you found would be so tempting to keep. It’s fun to watch you thrift, reset your booth, set up at Locketts with Mike, etc. You are very talented.

Great finds across the board by the way. The silver bowls at the end usually come in a set of three and sit inside each other to form a lotus to display them, but of course you can use and display separately too.
Cant wait for the next instalment and I hope the Holiday season goes super well for you.

Amanda, I was looking through a few old magazines last night and they had an article on displaying house plants. One phot was used those cast iron legs. They screwed a small piece of wood on the top, screwed the leg on the wall as a shelf and sat a potted plant on it. Wish I could send you a photo or it somehow. Loved the look and hope to find a pair to display some of my own plants. Maybe I’ll put on my identical sweater and hit the thrift stores.😉
