  • Your college list is one of the most important parts of your application. If you pick the right colleges, you've actually got a chance of getting admitted and getting the scholarships and financial aid you need. If you choose poorly, you might not go anywhere.
    To help you out, here's a free college list planner Google sheet that you can use to plan your applications. I'm going to show you how to fill out the first part of the sheet where we do research on universities and get a better idea of which ones are a good fit for you. You can make a copy for yourself by going to this link here:

      Yes, if they don't meet the financial need indicated at your CSS Profile, that non-binding feature of ED is no more applied.

    Please give me some tips for sat reading my score isn't increasing at all even though i practiced a lot ended up practicing all possible questions from ur PDFs, Khan academy and teh officials tests. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. Maybe I don't read the questions quite well please give me some tips my sat is next month

      You need to analyze which questions you are getting wrong most often and try to focus on them one at a time. I feel like you might not be applying the right strategies in general if you're practicing a lot but not getting improvement. You have to have a proper strategy for each type of question.
      But also remember the SAT isn't the most important thing. What kind of scores are you getting now?

      @@score-yourcollegecounselor in 600s, i get 17-12 questions wrong most of the time. and that too only in one module. I get only one question wrong in the first module then get 11 wrong in the another. i watched all your lives and have been using ur strategies. It's not like i suffer in one single kind of question for example i get 3 out of 4 logically complete questions right or i mess us transition once in one practice test but then end up making a mistake in a litrature. It keeps fluctuating all the time i can't make out any specific thing that I'm messing up. Till now i can understand that the mistakes i have made are mostly silly. Like quickly choosing an answer without fully reading it. I fully understand all the concepts and questions and I'm able to solve them correctly when i review the whole test again but idk what happens during the timed test. Maybe the timing gets me panicked. I honestly don't understand what i can do

      So it sounds like you're getting the harder module in the 2nd part and that's making it more difficult, which is not a bad thing. You're still getting 600s which is great. Stress management is a big part of standardized testing. You have to stay calm and collected, if you start rushing or getting nervous then you're only going to make it worse. Remember to breathe and remember it's just a test, it's not the most important thing in the world. Sounds like you know what to do but just get stressed and when that happens you lose your focus. Keep practicing and try to relax.

      @@score-yourcollegecounselor thank you I'll try to. It's just that i applied this year without sat scores n got rejected by most need awares and didn't get any sufficient financial aid at all. So I'm hoping to get a good sat score for the next year to atleast get into a college tht offers good financial aid

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem

      I understand. Honestly the test doesn't necessarily make a huge difference in terms of those applications. When you have a lot of financial need, your odds are always going to be low, but it's good to try and give yourself every chance you can.
