Hello everyone. This is a video for you, the viewer, to help me answer the question. "Can you catch Sardines Around The Halfmoon Bay Area?" I tried finding more information on this, but was not able to get a good amount of information. What I really want to know is what time of year do the sardines come around (if they come around), where do you catch sardines, what kind of rigs/bait do you use to catch sardines, and do they come into spawn when they are around? Any advice or information would definitely help me out, as I'm trying to catch my own bait. Since I use Sardines often for other types of fishing. Thanks!
I've caught sardines inside halfmoon bay harbor using a sabiki rig. When it's on, it's on fire. They're a small fish but tasty....not just for bait. The last time I fished for them was prob 15 years ago.
Interesting story. I can imagine 15 years ago, there may have been some sardines that went into Halfmoon Bay Harbor. It seems like now a days it is herring. Thanks for leaving a comment and sharing your experience.
I'm waiting for my buddy to do some minor work on his boat so we can start striper fishing. Sounds like fun catching sardines.
Oh nice. Striper fishing is always fun. I don’t know if you can catch sardines around here. By chance would you know? Would like to try and catch some sardines for bait.
@@Yeeflex I don't think there's anywhere around here to catch them, best thing just get a package of them at the bait shop like I do.
