We only need two macronutrients to survive & live healthy: protein & healthy fats. We have no need for any refined carbs or added sugar. Ditch refined carbs & all sugar & see how rapidly your health improves, type 2 diabetes is reversed and excess body fat dissapears. I dropped 14 lbs in 30 days and did not do any excercise apart from my usual daily walking here & there (this was intentional) You cannot outrun your fork😊 This is lifestyle & i'm never going back to sugar, refined carbs or ultra processed food (yes-this included oats)

When I was doing Keto I did lots of research and absolutely loved the way I felt. I couldn't agree more with you. 14lbs in 30 days?! Good for you! That is something to be very proud of. How long have you been doing keto for?

    • @iameyeandi

@@alexathegr8 TBH I 'accidentally' did Keto. Losing 14lbs was not planned. I thought I might lose a few pounds but it was not the aim. I just wanted to see the difference no sugar at all would make to improving my insulin resistance. After learning about the dangers of sugar including all syrups and Agave syrup (THE WORST), all refined carbs (this includes oatmeal & every type of cereal - these are all refined, processed products. They are not really actual food. I set myself a 30 day sugar free challenge. I naturally ended up clearing out almost everything from my cupboards & fridge. I essentially ended up eating whole foods entirely. So it doesn't matter whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or carnivore - just eat whole foods. You don't need to be in a calorie deficit . Forget the low fat stuff: full of sugar. After surving the first three days of the most brutal sugar withdrawals: horrible headaches, nausea - I call it the 'sugar flu' I lost my sweet tooth. Even a banana was soooo sweet to me. I then found that I naturally craved more healthy fats & more protein. My only regret is that with all that I know now, I wish I knew this when I was a teen & later years. I know I come across as sounding preachy but I really feel passionate about this. Please, give it a try. I cannot tell you how many people I know who are doing this and it's been life changing. A colleauge of a friend of mine who was clinically obese lost 126 lbs in year just by totally cutting out sugar!

Good work, you deserve to feel pride in your efforts!! Also, don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat. You probably built up some muscle in 3 weeks with the gym and it likely balanced the few lbs you left! Don’t get discouraged:)

Keep going! I would suggest you to do a 7 day fast if not at least a 4 day fast. You will lose at least 10 pounds on a 7 day fast and as long as you end the fast properly and eat the right amount of calories for your weight at the end, you will maintain that new weight. The reason you didn't lose any weight on the second week, was simply cause you were eating the right amount of calories to maintain your current body weight. You must eat less than what is required to maintain your weight in order to lose weight. Look into the 7 day fast, in the beginning you said "my body has been inflamed" that is one of the MANY health benefits that the 7 day fast will help with and put an end to.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and the tips! For reference I was in a caloric deficit, after doing my research women tend to gain water weight a week prior to our periods starting 😅, I feel that may be pretty accurate, im currently still losing weight and finally made it to the 179lbs, ive heard a lot about fasting and am currently doing intermittent fasting, I'll have my first meal around 12. I would consider fasting for a few days but right now i'm focused on building muscle and endurance training. But in the near future it's something I would definitely consider! appreciate you

1lb of weight loss is the optimal amount that anyone can hope to lose in a week. Typically, anything more has been shown to be the result of the loss of muscle, which creates a person that is 'skinny fat'. Slow and steady is the best long term weight loss method. I've lost about 16lbs in 4 months and I've kept it off. Also, it's normal for body weight to go up a week before a menstrual cycle and it can even last a week after your cycle too.

Congrats on your weight loss! Rely on a tape measure rather than the scale. Recuperation time is as important as working out, 30k steps is too much, get good sleep and drink water not sports drinks. Cut out the fried foods, poach or soft boil eggs, bake your chicken skin on, broil a rib eye, that's my fav! Celebrate your wins, you've made a lot of changes! Try 1 Tbsp of organic apple cider vinegar in water it helps as does green tea. Blessings to you.

Hm, both beautiful AND intelligent, has to be a keto person. If you don't eat or drink anything that didn't exist 100 years ago, you will be where you want in no time, without excessive exercise. The easiest way is to go carnivore, as you can't lose fat if insulin is elevated, but you might not be ready for that (yet). Best of luck, you're so close.. /5y carni/
