I honestly recommend playing some of the skyblock esque maps, true vanilla skyblock really lets you get to know the mechanics of the game that you don’t often get to see in a vanilla world. Gets even better when you get into the quest based modded packs too like the Classic modded skyblock; Agrarian skies, or sky factory.
There is (was? I dunno if its been kept up to date) a great Minecraft mod called Ex Nihilo that added in the ability to do things like turn tree leaves into new dirt blocks via composting barrels and use sieves on dirt and sand to get flints and metal dust and whatnot that made skyblock a lot more tolerable.
i created a giant trident in my minecraft server as a tribute to technoblade.... that was probably the most effort i ever put into anything in minecraft
I actually used to have a world on Minecraft education edition that i played on my school laptop in middle school and the one day on the last week of school i brought a usb stick to save the world so i could keep building (i had hundreds of giant contraptions and buildings all scattered around the world) and when i turned on the laptop and opened my account i saw in horror... As the entire thing... Got corrupted and had to be deleted. There was no way to save it i tried everything and nothing worked to this day 4 years later i am still devastated
i do some Nether-Only survival where i trap myself in the nether and then try to set up a base and see how much i can build myself up using only materials found in the nether. It's not as extreme as a floating sky island, but it definitely comes with restrictions and difficulties, since a lot of useful stuff just doesn't spawn in the nether.
Skyblock can be super fun, personally I prefer modded skyblock packs, there's a few out there and they typically give you a questbook with progression in mind, walk you through the mechanics so you don't need to research every step.
Did anyone find the title of the riff/track used during the ender dragon encounter? (the one that was refered to as: this one is played when it's not going to go well - or something of the sort).

That frog has the Kentucky Ballistics gene. A few .50 rounds are only a setback for him.

That's the main mod used in skyblock packs these days. At least half of them use Ex Nihilo for their initial goings on.
