I love how Gordon never takes credit for his knowledge. He is always giving credit to Danaher. Thats real af.
U didn’t know John has mind control and is magnetic 🧲
If he tried to lie he would be called out on it. So why not tell the truth?
Disappointing he never thanks the gracies though
@@thegraciefighter102 you mean maeda?
@@paulyj was he a Gracie ?
I don’t care about what anybody says. Gordon and Danaher’s instructionals are changing the game. And I envy Austin residents, because if I lived there, I’d train with them for sure!
same here!
They are in Austin now? Wow
Facts bro. I almost thought about moving to Austin no cap
I'm all packed and ready to go. Just have to unpack the girlfriend, her cat and my job. Then repack her cat because it always liked me more anyways, then we are outta hear. Me and ....cat, are enroute.
So did Austin just become bjjhq?
Everything this guy does just makes sense, other guys just do shit that might work.
This is the best explanation.
This is an incredibly wholesome side of the King. Reassuring to hear his issues as a brown belt despite probably being amazing at the time!
And this is why he is the best in the game. He and Danaher are phenomenal. Would love to train with them one day.
Anyone wondering if the instructionals are worth their price YES! I was a little bit hesitant compared to much cheaper instructionals. However, these instructionals don’t just teach you moves they teach you concepts that will change your game and allow you to infuse your own style as well. The sequences shown usually revolve around dilemmas and counters to common opponent movements. I’ve gotten the closed guard and half guard by Gordon, and a few from John. Awesome content!
It’s a chain “holy shit” moment that never ends now #blessed
Gordon is maturing and will continue to become an even better teacher throughout his career.
Screw the haters , Gordon seems like a cool guy.
yes sir
Agree 100%
Yup, he's dope!
It’s funny how Gordon get all that hate, but everybody I know who ever met him, myself included, have only good things to say about him. If he talks shit online but treats fans and students well, he’s ok in my book
100% agree
Deliberate and systematic. Excellent teaching from a true proponent of Danaher BJJ.
Gordon knows every detail.. superb!
Gordon puts as much thought into his technique as he does his smack talk and that’s why it’s so good! Always great information.
The ten dislikes are the people with bad rotator cuffs lol
As a white belt who started 3 months ago, this is going to be very useful. Thank you, Gordon and Bernando, for the great content!
Well, it will take some time for you to use the instruction in this video,
because you will not have much chance to go on top of your partner.
As a white belt who's been doing it for a year, get good at defending and escaping. You'll be doing a lot of it...
Edit: Typo
@@dg1431 agreed! Took me at least a year to realise that and it had really halted my progression when i was just starting out
@@MrSinusu the only time I can ever get top mount is when I sweep from bottom. I find it extremely difficult to access it via guard passes
@@arrantainsh8754 so look up guard passes
This technique is so beautiful it makes blackbelts become white belts seriously!
The question about how to avoid people from moving when you are mounted...that's exactly what I wanted to hear
Wondering why would you need that?
I think that if they move is because they are uncomfortable or feeling in danger.
What my coach says is: just control while their move, "never interrupt your opponent when he/she is making a mistake"
Love this - thanks Bernardo and Gordon!
Thank you for taking time for us!
Thanks Gordon and Bernardo for sharing and developing the world of ju jitsu
beautiful and simple - will definitely integrate the concept
Thank you for this! 🔥🔥🔥
Thx again!!! Huge honor for me to wacht it ♥️♥️♥️♥️

We worked those moves at my gym tonight. Thank you for sharing that wealth of knowledge.

Simple but effective. I love it. 🤜🤛

This really makes Gordon Ryan's instructionals seem so valuable
Bitta gold right here. Thanks for sharing 🙌🏾
This is gold
Love all your content, keep it up!!!!
Brilliant work.
Me hearing Gordon saying "it's so simple, you'll say, OMG how long have I been doing jiu jitsu and I haven't thought about this" .... when I hear it, I'm going to already have heard it a thousand times. Then he shows me and I say " OMG, I've been doing jiu jitsu for ten years and I never thought of that" boom, forehead slapping knowledge!
This is amazing!
The cross grip is a variation of using your elbow, something I saw Jean Jacques Machado use to pin an arm in the Americana position. Pretty cool to still be able to use the whole length of the arm. Thanks Gordon!
This is excellent. Thank you.
Thank You Gordon
Thanks for the info guys. Just finished my first week of BJJ.. definitely gonna use this going forward
Gordon is truly a genius.... John Danaher is am amazing teacher.
Absolutely outstanding

Fantastic!

Brilliant.
Great details. Danaher is a genius. Gordon too
AWESOME
I have nogi sparings today so will try this 100%
Gordon is super cool and humble.
My brain exploded. Can't wait to get to the mats and cross grip everybody
Excellent.
Bernardo is a legend
👏👏👏👏👏 fooking awesome thanks 🙏
This is the kinda engineering detail that makes me love bjj ❤️
Bro that rotator cuff tip 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Gordan and John are the best coach/fighter duo in all of martial arts imo
Darth Sidious & Darth Vader lol
@@edwarddrew5127 *Darce Vader
Gordon is the man
Gordon, muito bom no Jiu Jitsu
It’s silly stupid how much this makes so much sense
Love that rash guard and shorts 🇺🇸
This is super helpful against women and small guys. The larger guys typically try to escape, but the girls often just keep their arms very tight and it's unclear how to loosen them in way that would also work on a stronger opponent.
Damn. I do feel stupid for not seeing the flaw with the overhand grip in the numerous years I've trained. Underhand cross grip it is! Thanks guys. A huge honor.
Dont feel stupid i think 99 percent of black belts wouldnt see it
This was genius!
Fantastic
Nice!!
Best of all time
The technique aside, his rash guard and shorts are awesome
It is an honor for me to watch this video.
Tnk u sirs
good stuff
Gordon is another level on Craig for this very reason, analysis
This is definitely a quality website
I love it
Moving to Austin when Gordon Ryan opens up his gym
Mind blown. Been doing Jiu Jitsu for years
i rewatched his matches with Diniz and Jimenez after seeing this video. And what a surprise that's how he controlled those two.
Gordon is the goat 🐐
Nice!
awesome
Sheesh this gon be nice at practice
Ohhh Gordon!
Henry Akins also has a top mount move that is attacking the rotator cuff to isolate one arm.
Gordon is amazing if jujitsu could get more guys like him the sport can be popular one day
Valeu
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼oss thanks you
Dammit..........There goes my checks for a while. AWesome stuff
I think I was the 300,000th subscriber. It's an honor for me!
Gold 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Even if this fails, grabing undwr the arm is a much more secure grip that allows you to use your biceps and your back muscles at the same time to pull and potentially overpower if need be.
