Would this mean from the guard passers POV, since you must pass in order, feet, knees, then hips, that the best way to pass the feet is to force them to inside position? Taking away the bottom players ability to maintain distance?

I like to use this grip with the kimura trap. If I can’t get the lapel free, I will open the front of my opponent’s pants and get this grip instead.

I'd like to see how he deals with that near arm. Bernardo was giving him all the space under that elbow but when you go live that near elbow would be tight and in the fight.
