The Stand Episode 8 Release Date
‘The Stand’ episode 8 is scheduled to premiere on February 4, 2021, on CBS All Access at 3 am ET. The miniseries is slated to have a total of nine episodes.
Spoilers ‘The Stand’ is also titled ‘The Stand.’ It is the penultimate episode of the limited series. If the show follows the Stephen King book closely, then the upcoming episode will see Glen executed by Lloyd after he denies bending his knee to Randall Flagg. The episode may also see a dying Nadine prophetically telling Flagg that four men from Boulder would be his end. In the book, a livid Flagg tosses Nadine from the penthouse balcony, thus killing her instantly. The next episode might also see the Trashcan Man return with the nuclear weapon that Flagg wanted.
Titled “The Stand,” The Stand Season 1 Episode 8 is soon going to be released. The post-apocalyptic fiction has been getting mixed reviews since its premiere. This show is based on a book penned down by Stephen King. It went by the same name and was published back in 1978. The makers took very long to realize that the book is worth having a TV adaptation.
The Stand S01E08: In a world mostly wiped out by the plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil, the fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the Dark Man.

Both versions got this scene wrong. They should have stuck with the version where Nadine badgered and needled Flagg into throwing her off the balcony. In her own way, she defeated him.
I actually really liked this version of this part of the book. I do miss Nadine verbally tearing Randall a new one before her death, but there is something hauntingly beautiful about the visual execution of this scene. I also find it interesting how in both live action adaptations Nadine willingly falls to her death instead of being thrown by Randall. I feel like both versions give her a final moment of agency after a lifetime of being a pawn to Flagg
Well in the book Nadine is purposefully provoking Randall to get him to kill her (knowing it was the only escape.) The ribbing she gives Randall and making him throw her was her final act of defiance.
@@dancegregorydance6933 Yea, but that is more of a battle of wits and wills and is tougher to convey on screen given the internal/mental nature of it. I think general audience (include those who are unfamiliar with the book) will understand Nadine taking her own life as an act of defiance against Randall. But if they were to see Randall tossing her over a ledge after she tells him not every viewer may no that that is what she wanted him to do (even with her giving her mid-falling smile). I was most curious to see how this scene would be revisited tbh
Agency is overrated. The only way she could free herself was to goad him into not wanting her then throw her away. He snaps out of his rage too late and tries to catch her but its too late. Her triumph was silently looking up at him while falling knowing he couldn't get her back.
I thought the 1994 The stand's cast played it better..
This, this is NOT the stand.
“She went down as silently as a defective skyrocket”
This one went down screaming (and looking) like a banshee
And for once in her life, she actually stopped talking.
She had pooped her last pillow. She did not die a mermaid, because the pool had no water. M-O-O-N, that spells water.
First time I’ve ever seen her act well. Must’ve had an amazing director and editor.
that slo-mo shot of her falling amongst the glass is very similar to the Ma-Ma villain death fall in Dredd.
ikr? You think the makers of The Stand got inspired by Dredd?
*Nadine Screaming in horrific pain has the demon child is trying to tear its away out*
Randall Flagg"🚬🗿🥃"
Also us viewers because she’s played by Amber Heard”🚬🗿🥃”
What kind of weak ass windows were those?
“Lloyd- cancel the nursery.’
She's really not a good actress
Agreed, I definitely liked the original one better
The same girls voice right after the fall
What the fuck...
Shit...fuck!!!!
Lmaoooo
Flagg ‘NYĘÆEEEEEEE
Didn’t like this version but I will admit that it did have some great parts in it. Wish they stuck with the source material more cause I truly think this would have been epic if they did.
Unfortunatetely, the source material doesnt fit the current agenda.
@@TheKriptokerCalm down. It's just bad TV. All bad TV does not exist to brainwash you, it exists to make money which inevitably results in more bad TV.
The only "agenda" is the capitalist one. Same as everything else.
Johnny Depp gave this scene a thumbs up.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did all that bs really happen 2 years ago now?
My dog stepped on a bee 🐝
At least she didn’t take a dump on carpet before jumping..🤷♂️
Oh boy, without even looking yet, I just know the comments are going to be a mess.
Were they purposefully merging Nadine and Dayna’s deaths from the book?
Yes. They often do that and it annoys me. Pick one or the other, imo.
They both died the same way
@@wesleydraves1281 Nah, Dayna tried to throw herself through the window, but instead had to cut her throat on the glass. She never fell.
If it is the case, then it is a shitty idea...
Wake up, I can't wake up! Save me from the nothing I've become.
Accurate depiction of her career.
I know this is late and I'm only now revisiting this cause I remembered that this was a thing, (which admittedly I enjoyed, cause I love this author's work), but I don't know if it's the actress, or not but I felt absolutely nothing at her death, and felt more upset about her miniseries counterpart's ending than this one's? So is it bad that I did not care for this scene or this actor/character in general? I know we're supposed to separate actors from their art, and all, and I did (or tried to), but again I did not care. Maybe it was her performance.
We all cheered here, didn't we?
No
@@ishtarbabylon4869 Yes, we did.
So a woman heavily in labour - just about to ‘pop’ as they say- is able to get up and move herself over to a window? Come on!
I am the only one who liked Nadine 😔
Yes
@@MetAlcboy I HATE HER NOW CAUSE OF THE ACTRESS 😭
I liked her too
I did. In the book she's one of my favorites. Her story is so tragic.
She is so bad 😂😂😂
Skokie Community Theatre Summer Camp FOR TEENS!
Brad William Henke Rip moon
Yet another poster who has NEVER read the book.
Johnny depp been real quiet since this came put
It wouldn't be a total loss huh🤣
Meh. The original is better.
@MrHreviews give this scene a review lol
Randall does not represent all of us Flagg’s.
Or wait…maybe he does.
Jury’s still out. 😅😊
This was his end.
Wasted
AWFUL, THIS IS TERRIBLE, JOSH BOONE AND BENJAMIN CAVELL SHOULD NEVER WORK IN HOLLYWOOD AGAIN
Why did it suck? I found this scene incredibly effective.
@@jackcinephile7554 book > 1994 version > this
Terrible show is Terrible.
I can't STAND Crappy remakes. Toss yourself and the producers out the Toilet Bowl.
me totally not wondering if the belly exploded open or the womb just ejected everything out from the hole 👀 😅
Amber 😷🤮🤮🤮
Hacer morir a Nadine d esta manera fue una forma d darle humanidad a Randal y eso no me gustó
Never trust flagg.
This version sucks.
Maybe if the pool had been filled, she would have lived.
but Nadi choose death instead.
I wish this scene was real
She's horrible. But this is better than the 94 film series
Amber can't act to save her life! lol
It worked in her favor that she was such a forgettable actress. The trial changed that. I only just realized she was in an episode of Criminal Minds that I’ve seen 3 or 4 times. She showed about as much emotion as a cheese sandwich.
Horrible as the day she took the stand, as on The Stand
Johnny Depp's performance as Nadine in this was noteworthy....
So instead of shitting the bed, she tosses herself out the window.
This scene is the best example of when you want fiction to be a reality
too bad they used a lying bed pooper in this.
What a garbage re-make. Totally woke and mis-casted.
Amber Turd's acting in this scene actually isn't that bad...
Acting....or brilliant casting?
She ain’t acting. She is playing herself
she isn't that bad of an actress but a really bad human
She's a terrible actress. She is suppose to be in so much pain and afraid of loosing her life but she is just huffing and puffing.
@@erickavelez197 not if you compare this acting to the acting she did on the stand😅
Glad i didnt watch this shit. Lmao
Agreed, I’ll always be a 1994 fan
