- In this video I compare Green touch trimmer racks with equipment defender trimmer racks. I've had the opportunity to try both products and I only have a few complaints.

weve got greentouch racks from 1999, still holding up strong and never had any issues.
Finally a review that has meaning instead of trying to get kickbacks. Thank you, its been a while with all the lawn care stuff I'm watching its crazy. As one guy put it pimping yourself out for a free gas can.
Haha, No pimping here. It's just my opinion thats all.
I purchased my green touch rack after you made that video 3 yrs ago and I have love them
Awesome!!
I absolutely love my Green Touch racks including their new BPS100 blower rack. It’s so quick to use and looks awesome. I like the equipment defender locking mechanism and color scheme, but I have no need to switch as I’m completely satisfied with Green Touch.
Hard Knox Lawn Care I’m looking forward to installing.
I have been debating for awhile between the 2.
I had decided on Green Touch because they have a attachment for my pole saw that attaches to the trimmer rack. And most of their Rack systems take up the Least amount of space. Not crazy about the color but that’s why they make spray paint
Changing Seasons Landscape Management it comes down to preference most of the time.
I have also used my green touch for 3 years...i love them...i also have there blower rack and it mounts flush so the blower extends outside the trailer...no compkaints
Great comparison! I am really looking forward to having racks this year, much better than sitting in the back of the truck! Look forward to watching when you get the new green touch racks!
VERY GOOD Video AND review. Loved how you just got right to the point! Excellent job!!! You covered EVERYTHING I needed to know.
Just received my green touch for my enclosed trailer but haven't installed yet. Saw them in Ambros landscaping video, seem to look like a good set-up.
Thank you for the honest review. I actually emailed Equipment Defender two days ago. I was asking for information about their products. I never received an email back as of yet. They look like a good idea, they need to be perfected. Im now really thinking about going with green touch. Thank you
Pirre Landscaping I bet they will respond to your email real soon trying to keep face with the comments section of a non positive video.
Try messenger on Facebook. Someone responded to me there less then an hour after I wrote to them
Hey Brian, we actually just got those brackets in and have them available. We are in the process of adding pictures of them our site and they should be on shortly. The same bracket will work with the trimmer and blower racks allowing you to mount them to the outside of the trailer.
Equipment Defender - Do you guys ship international? I'm down in New Zealand and nobody will ship Green Touch ones here at my cost even, so a market there if you do?? Cheers
Rhys Lloyd-Forrest yes, drop us a email at sales@equipmentdefender.com
Thanks for the comparison. I’m sure it will help a lot of people out in their decision.
Great video! Very well said.
Ive been looking at them. Thinking about going enclosed this year to keep everything out of the elements. Love the way they lock! Keeps equipment from walking off.
Joshua Jones you not be disappointed with either one.
I ran trimmer traps for years, then a few years back I went to the Xtreme series trimmer racks from green touch. Love them, had them on several different trailers since I bought them. For my handheld blowers I seem to prefer the racks that are made by Jungle Jims, and for the backpacks I still seem to prefer the trimmer trap style. Purely came down to ease of use.
I hve the Green Touch racks and I love them!!! Great choice Brian and great video.
I appreciate your honesty!
I feel like you could produce informational videos for new lawn care companies. I'm not talking just CZcams I am thinking your knowledge and willingness to share your success and failures would be a benefit to anyone getting into the business. I know I have learned a lot from you and I don't do it for a living. Another great video.
Chris Lawrence appreciate that. Great compliment.
Love it great video pal
Brian's Lawn Maintenance shut up
Thanks for sharing Brian.
You're reading my mind. I was just looking to buy a rack. Thanks for the review.
ACME Mowing and Lawn Care both are good. I just didn’t like those couple of things.
Right on. I'm on the shorter side. I'd no idea that they wouldn't be adjustable to a shorter stance. I do like that Defender backpack rack though!
I have the equipment defender racks and I like them I had to cut the down to my height and it works
I just put my equipment defender racks on the trailer. Really liking them so far..
M Murph awesome, they are great racks.
very nice review Brian thanks
Hazardra Lawn Care thank you
Good video as always Brian.
Southern Style Lawn Care thanks buddy.
So true... I have the equipment defender BBBlower rack and the 4 trimmer rack mounted in the back of my short bed truck very compact but it works for me. I don't have nearly the equipment that you do tho. Great review Sir.
Jaz & Keli they both work great. Thanks.
Very good critic!
In my research I thought the same thing...way too high. However, for an enclosed trailer it would be good. There are some videos on that set up.
I’ll take anything you don’t need
Hey Top notch ! im 5'7 will the 3 tier rack be to tall for me to reach the top to rotate the red tab ?
Just ordered the equipment defenders. 3 Space rack but I also have 2 ft trailer sides. I'll see how it goes, hopefully they work out. Problem is my main guy is pretty short so as Brain said, might be an issue
Matt's Lawncare Green Touch may work better because of the option to mount on the side of your trailer
Yea I thought about everything before I ordered them. I asked him before I ordered and they aren't much taller than what used to be on there. The 3 space was a lot shorter than the 4 space.
I have Equipment Defender and the blower rack. All works great
Green touch by far. Informational video!!
The Green Touch are pretty much perfect, no reason to get anything else at this point.
You can send the defenders to NY lol
Is that a 4 slot trimmer rack from equipment defender ?
those ed trimmer racks look ridiculously high, whether people are tall or short.
Why not cut the post equipment defender to fit the trailer as I did and they work great
The green touch racks you have are only the 3 position racks vs the equipment defender which is four so it will be taller😉. And I have the equipment defender backpack blower rack and if you turn it sideways it works very well and doesn’t take up much space. Love the racks
Both are 4 position racks.
Top Notch Lawn Care I guess I didn’t see it. Sorry man!
Equipment defender has great customer service and they warranty their products. I will keep my defender racks, not only for the customer service but the overall durability as it relates to cost and effectiveness.
Yes, they are great.
GreenTouch baby. #STAYORIGINAL :)
5'3, 5'4 on a good day lol that was funny. Nice vid though 👍
Do you wanna sell the equipment defender racks?
And the backpack rack didnt seem to be installed like other ppl did theres. most ppl it doesnt stick into the trailer that far
Tony's Lawn care I give you an A for effort Tony. Both racks are 4 position and I even moved the blower rack closer together before I shot the video. My blower prob wouldn’t even fit in it now. Either way I didn’t like them as much as greentouch for those reasons. If it works better for someone else then great for them.
Top Notch Lawn Care gotcha i guess i couldnt see that 4th trimmer. And with the blower rack i just mean it shouldnt stick in the trailer much it should mount just like the trimmer racks it almost looks like they changed the design on the blower rack
Tony's Lawn care it’s up against the rail. It is what it is. At the most it might by an inch or two and still stick out 8. It’s hard to judge on camera. A few degrees of angle can change the perspective. That’s why I brought out the tape measure.
Top Notch Lawn Care thank you for all you do ive been watching your videos since you started. It was great to talk to you a few times at GIE EXPO
Dead on Brother Im loving my Green Touch Racks
Plemons Lawn Care thanks brotha
Excellent review Brian and honest! #stayoriginal #greentoucharmy
Mitchell's Lawn Care LLC thanks buddy.
My ist thought would be that I’d be paranoid about someone stealing my equipment, then about rain getting into my equipment
Dose Albero still work for you
patrick bardsley no
I have green touch and i like them i dont like the idea of the defenders mounting inside the trailer my luck i will tear up my ztr on it or something else plus i think they should of came up with an original idea improvement on all trimmer racks not a copy cat of the green touch
Your green touch was a 3 trimmer rack and equipment defender was a 4 trimmer rack so it will be alittle higher.
Tony's Lawn care nope, both are 4 position racks.
Also checkout the TrinityIronImages.net racks
I noticed your Green Touch rack is only a 3 unit high rack while the Equipment Defender rack is 4 units high. That would explain why the Equipment Defender rack is higher, it holds 4 units.
They are actually both 4 position rack. I've never bought anything but a 4 position.
@@TopNotchLawns Ok, wow! They are a lot taller then the GT racks. I'll keep that in mind, I'm looking to get some trimmer racks soon. Thanks for the feedback and Great Videos man !!
I noticed ppl went from green touch to equipment defender
so because you went from a 3 trimmer rack to a 4 trimmer rack now your guy can't reach. it's not because of where you mounted them, though I understand mounting them to the outside would allow you to reach easier, you also went to taller racks. That's not really equipment defender's fault.
Did Equipment Defender contact you about the trimmer rack or did you contact them?
They contacted me.
Okay
do you still have the racks??
😁😉
In my enclosed trailer I have been using equipment defender 5 years now!
Dale Nienow the equipment defender racks came out last year
😅
I've watched several videos and no one person has picked Equipment Defender over Green Touch. They are catching these L's left and right. I suggest ED get back to the lab.
The new ed v2 blower rack is much more compact. They both can mount outside or inside. For the price i went with ed today.
Dont recomend equipment defender. Parts come lose randomly. Lost a 700 dollar trimmer on the high way to it nd it caused a wreck. I even kept it hella tight.
Heck no I'm not buying equipment defender. I'm buying green touch
First!
You can cut the sleeve down
Nathan Stults only so much. The bottom trimmer has to be higher than your rail.
Thanks for the message back buddy! Love your vids and ya you got a point I'm actually debating between these two racks right now which would you say you like the most? I wanna get the defender I'm thinking the 4 holder and just trim down the rail that fits in mounting bracket.
They are coming out with the bracket to mount on outside as well. I think I said which one I prefer in the video. LOL
Haha ya sorry man was at school earlier when I was watching video now that I'm home I watched til the end lol def do the green touch instal video can't wait to see it!!!!
I just put my trimmers and blowers in the back of the truck! Works great and it is free!
Happilyretiredmark If it ain't broke don't fix it.
they are mostly for security there are some areas where people will steal stuff out of the back of a truck plus it frees up the bed of the truck for other things i.e mulch debris etc etc
Check out the Tri-clone HEAVY DUTY trimmer heads for your next lawn care jobs
GreenTouch!
I didn't like green touch
Stay true to the original and not the copier.
