Thanks good to hear Finally some one talking about room sizes to put things in real perspective.
I found the T9/x lacking in most uses and returned it. In my room and my system, it didn't do it for me. On some tracks it sounded good, some others where I knew there was some base notes, it just didn't deliver. It is a small box and only does 27HZ, and fit/finish/looks are great, but there's far better subs for that $ in my view. It may still be a good choice for those with limited space, small rooms, etc, was not the fight fit for me. My beloved Velodyne HGS 12 is out for repair so decided to try some new subs. So far, Velodyne still my favorite, and to be fair, was 2k 20 years ago and still one of best subs out there. They have something of a cult following. I am trying a Rythmik FM8 now and like it much more than the Rel, and it's less $ to boot.
My stereo pair of 8-inch down firing rel subwoofers fills my small 13 x 11.5 ft size room effortlessly!
One's one experiences the refinement of a rel subwoofer, its kinda hard to go back to them conventional things 😁
Track #4 had a very scifi journey through space feel for me. I really liked it.
Hi, what kind of DSP was applied to the 1508’s, I have the 1205 and I could do with lower frequencies. Thanks.
Very nice intro. Thanks for the review of those Gorgeous Subs.
Thanks, DT!
Thank goodness!!! I was on the fence with them but after seeing your review, I am now leaning towards Rythmik or Arendal Subs :)
Awesome!
Max I have 2 Rythmik FV18 subwoofers with the paper cones and they are magnificent. For the price they are absolutely hard to beat.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 I have dual F18s. Absolutely unreal. Nothing can touch the quality of bass for the price.
@@wking8 100% agree with you. Nuanced, dynamic, deep extension, tactile, enveloping bass is what you get.
What do you think of the Rythmik now? Is it as good as you anticipated?
You keep doing what you know best, best of luck
I have dual HT/1508 Predators. Got one on sale last year when they were 1599 and again on this current sale for 1399. I thought about the "T" line but couldn't alter my thought process to accept that Rel high level connectivity thing (and purchase the T/9X) and lack of depth. The dual HT/1508s are mon-stars! That being said, I could see the T/9x's working well with some 1508s.
Agreed, the 1508s are monsters and much better suited to my living room.
techno dad you got my name in good job. I love REL subwoofers
Yes, sir!!
NICE new intro !! =)
Nice one...I have a room about your size 1200 cubic feet with the Rel ht 1508 x2...only running 12 clicks on the gain knob..THATS ENOUGH all ready,
They are nice really nice,I need a new room my room is 13/13/10 but the future closest takes 2 feet almost a whole side of the room and doorways yep I need a new room.a question what does make large hights speakers 100 RMS bookshelves 3 way 8 inch woffer 4 and 3 Inc mid and tweeter,is that a large hights
Thanks for the video sir!
Could you please do a video on stacking subwoofers?
Im hoping to get 2 x SVS SB1000's, and cannot place them separately due to room space, so planning to stack them together
I don’t think it’s really safe unless you have a way to connect them.
Hi Techno Dad would like to check with you on with what subwoofers you have found that works well SVS, monolith, or something else. Like action, Science fiction and music. I know that you have had a lot of demos, just can’t decide. Any thoughts?
Hi, I don’t do social media so I don’t know what other way I can do this except for email
I love Rel subwoofer 🎸
Thanks for the video
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!
Hmmm my listening room is 2100 cubic ft, but archway into a 1400 cubic ft room which then has archway into 1050 cubic ft room. Saying that a ht1205 mk1 rattled everything with very little gain.
What connection have you used , high level or lfe?
I would use LFE
How do they compare to the RSL speed/ W 10
I don’t know. I’ve never had the pleasure of RSL
@@TechnoDad thanks for the response. My 2 RSL speed woofers 10...Aka, dynamite in a box, moves air in my13×17 room like a fan.
While I like the Rels, i heard them at Best Buy, though I went with 2 ported pb-3000’s for my theater… for I wanted a bit more of that ported feel for my theater…
That was a good call. Those 3000 series SVS are tough to beat!
@@TechnoDad i hope to be impressed once I get my room ready and set up, for at the moment, I have 2 klipsch rf-7 iii set up, and a rc-64 iii, while I also have the rest of a 7, or 5.2.7 set up, I just need a receiver with enough outputs, and all of the gaming features I am waiting on to be included/ be able to pass it to the tv…. I also want to say I haven’t actually herd my 3.2 set up yet, since, we still have to get the receiver in place, to plug in all of the speakers, and move around a few sets of speakers, I mean I already have the speaker places wired, they just need the speakers in the right spot, which I am waiting for my father, to move some things around, so I can easily get access to everything… so far I have only herd the 2 rf-7 iii’s playing, at least in my basement… but I have all of the wires laid in, and ready to play speakers, once we get them into their spots…
How do these compare to the svs sb3000 subs..
How did you hook the rels up ?
I hooked these up via RCA to LFE.
If you hook them up via the high level input, change your receiver settings to set your front speakers to large and not small (which is where you have connections). Makes a huge difference for music/stereo (I also have the RCA to LFE connected for movies). REL has a video on why if you're interested.
So, the guest toilette would be fine for this subwoofers?!
sir after the video i end up pl;aying tetris again
Lol! Too funny!!
@@TechnoDad 🤣
You can keep new track #4.
Isn't that what your dad said when the nurses brought you out to see your dad for the first time?😭🤣
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 They call children "New Track #4" where you come from?
@@Leonard_Lewis no I just figured you have mistake child, uh I mean 4th child syndrome 🤣😭
@@Leonard_Lewis That was a good one Leonard 🤣😭
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 *sighs* Now you are a credential-less psychiatrist.
These subs look like A kickers.
Rel are better for hifi apart from the HT Series.
The S series are way better too!
You should know because you are a Dj right
-6 db @ 27 hz. lol. PASS.
They are more 2 channel hifi than Home theatre subs ... 😉
How dare a brand put their logos on the products they create and sell!!! 😭🤣
Imagine that?? Lol!!
