- THE REVENANT cast and creators hit the red carpet at the UK Premiere in London for the first time since the announcement of the film dominating the Oscars. Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter and the director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu discussed the movie and their nominations.

+CeeJayDee94 I think you're right. Hardy had more variety and nuance to do than Dicaprio who only had to look grim and stoical all the way through, which is a pity as he is obviously very versatile and talented. I hope he gets films that demand more of him and gets more Oscars.

I just discovered that film last year and there are few actors who could keep attention as essentially a one man show. It was a master class and he killed it!
I really appreciate how he directly and unabashedly refers to himself as an "artist", and his films as "pieces of art". So many actors obviously care more about being movie stars and celebrities rather than artists. Hardy has integrity and pride in what he does, and it shows in the final product. Looking forward to the rest of his career.

Gary Oldman, another English actor that plays in many roles that require him to have an American accent said in an interview that after playing so many American roles he started to lose his English accent and he had to learn to speak in English accent all over again.

+Iwo Dukarski absolutely. Sly was a good performer but the thing is he could pull that role not so difficultly because he had done it before. Tom had to face the weather and other things. He was really scary and I guess that pulling of his role wasn't easy. In the end he totally nailed it!!

Every actor & Actress I’ve heard talk about him says he’s awesome in front of the camera but a truly respectful, nice guy. It’s good to hear them talk about someone with genuine fondness not just making them sound like a saint because they are “Tom Hanks” or whoever.

Tom Hardy and Daniel Day-Lewis have some similar traits; both were wild men in their youth, both are now serene, and humble in knowing how great they are as actors (film actors get to see themselves performing and can compare it to other actors; it is a plausible thing, not just a theory or an ego notion), and both are the most talented, most versatile, and easily the two greatest actors alive today.

No One you are absolutely right! He is a different person in every film he makes. I used to feed off of Denzel and Daniel Day Lewis as the best but Hardy surpasses them in every facet of the craft. His performance in the last episode of Peaky Blinders season 3 solidified it for me. He is the best hands down.
