Thanks! I personally use Reason 11 to record the audio and a Canon camcorder for the video. Then I load them both into iMovie and sink them up. You can detach the original audio from the Canon and delete it so that you only get the professional recording to sink up with the video. There are lots of programs out there for all of this, but this is what I personally use.
I believe it was .010 gauge Elixirs in this video. I tend to like .010's for solo guitar and .012's for everything else on my solid body guitars. Also use .012's on my archtop.
