Remember these videos are edited, we don’t know, he may have said a lot more than we are shown :) I get what you mean though, if he said something important I would have hoped it would have been included.
They have one person every episode that either A) doesn't add to the conversation or B) is just dead weight for their side. The best example of this is Derrick from the Men's Rights and Feminist video.

Dude hit the nail on the head. “I think the justice system needs to be more consistent”.
They dont have the ability to talk about all this. As much as this sounds unfair the reason it is not consistent is because you can't dictate how other counties operate.
McCashDollars Cashmoney there’s something called talking about your opinion
@@jonathanmarks2069 You can still have a decently level of consistency with taking into consideration what happened with that specific crime. Across the U.S. crimes are punished so different and for people of different wealth/race as well. There is a consistency that needs to be held but it is hard to be able to keep a low level of consistency with a higher level of making sure people's cases are looked at for their specific circumstances

Ping did an awesome job representing his issues and he could really make changes with his perspective. Rehabilitation for prisoners being released should be common sense for a better society for everyone.
Brittney Yvette v he needs to be the change he wants to see. Why wait on other people to maybe change things for you. Change ut your self. I hope he does but its on him. Like the cop said, call your representive or whoever can make the changes. Don't just bitch about it and do nothing.
sounds like a whole lotta bullshit to me. The black people have every right to fear for their lives when the police pull them over. Studies evaluating big data consistently show that black and brown people are targeted more frequently by the cops. Cops go into poorer communities, where POC are overrepresented and go after the poor people of color because they know that their lives do not hold the same political sway as, say a white person. There's a lot out there about racialized stereotypes and the effect it can have on groups of people in a minoriy/majority. Especially with the anti-black foundation of this country (slavery, jim crowe, war on drugs, etc.) we see many cultural undertones of racism and injustice. These undertones have detrimental effects on the way we treat and value different groups of people. Law enforcement disproportionately targets black people due to the school of thought they subscribe to, labelling an entire race as criminal. And the interaction between dominant cultures and sub cultures eventually forces black people to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If there is no justice and you are born a "criminal" simply for the color of your skin, then why not commit crime. Also it is not true that black people commit more crime. Looking at usage/criminalization ratios for marijuana across racial lines show that black and white people use the illegal substances at the same rates, however black people are punished doubly. Don't tell me that black people are playing "roles" when there is a genuine reason for them to live with a sense of fear. There is a TARGET on their backs and they have every right to ADVOCATE FOR JUSTICE.

My father works for my state's Department of Correction. There's a _huge_ fucking issue in our justice system with recitivism. Rehabilitation is something are country needs to strive for.
A big part of the problem is that prisons have been privatized. They're being run like businesses, and no buisness would strive to put itself out of use.
Well looks like this should have been between judges/attorneys vs ex-felons
6:03 "a little hole in the system" those words really hit me. That asian dude with the ponytail had very good arguments
Can you do one on Judges and Felons? Judges are the ones who decide on sentencing.
Trz they could pick nearly anyone. Jury members don’t go out seeking to be on a jury
Trz Jury only determines guilty or not guilty
My suggestion was for “sentencing” which a judge decides on. Yes jury’s can decide on the death penalty but a judge decides how long an offender stays in prison. That’s why there’s a separate sentencing hearing after an offender is found guilty or not guilty by the jury. The jury does not decide how many years an offender goes to prison for.
SpicyFruit yes yes yes
SpicyFruit a judge is a powerful person and well off, they wouldn’t be on screen for free or anything like this.
"So you're telling me there's levels of legality?" Well... yeah, I don't think a person that killed someone should get the same punishment as someone who was drinking in public.
Drinking in public shouldn't be a crime at all; it isn't in several law-abiding countries. And it isn't in some counties either.
Bruh did u listen to what he said after? His point was that levels of legality is blurred with objectively worse crimes getting comparatively way less time than other crimes he was pretty valid
Ye and self-defense is assault while assault is self-defense? :)
Drinking is legal. There should never be punishment. Drunks should be driven home. It should be recorded and the second time 12 step should be assigned. If they if they cause an accident it should go by vehicle code.
@@jsmeswagner6104 You missed my point. Drinking in public is "against the law" but not to a point that people go to jail for it. I believe you just get cited for it unless it's a repeat offense. Killing someone, however is absolutely highly punishable! These two offenses are on different levels of legality.
I like Jubilee, it seems like it is one of the few channels where you can actually hear the viewpoint of everyone without being shouted down.
I so agree with what the felons said. It's SO UNFAIR. Sometimes the system is what drives people commit to the crime. If they're poor, uneduactaed, they know justice isn't on their side, so they seek other ways like the guy who tried to defend his family. That made me really sad

I'm sorry but I've gotten the opportunity to look through some cases and I can say thats also not a fair system. Theres a difference between a man who wants to slash because he was provoked vs a man who wants to slash because he likes to. There are many many factors the justice system needs to consider before they punish someone. Unfortunately people have biases and some cases are just put forward in better ways than others.

That timer ruined so many potentially good conversations/explanations. Why even have a timer?
I think that it is to avoid conversations getting out of hand, since the topics and questions are usually very sensitive everyone does their best to be respectful at first but it can get out of hand pretty quickly, putting a timer ensures that even if te conversation begins to enflame you just put the tension down again. It is true though that many times conversations could have been longer :/

ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS CHANNEL IS AMAZINF. WOW.
Last year, I was told to write an essay on a social issue of my choice. I asked my teacher if I could write about the problems in the prison system, specifically the lack of rehabilitation available. She told me to my face that it wasn't a real problem, even after explaining to her that I'm the child of 2 ex cons. She, a person with no history or experience with the criminal justice system, told me that she knew the system better than both me and my parents.
I actually did a similar research project for senior year. I must say that the prison system is royally fucked. Quotas, non-existant rehabilitation, it's bad man.
What you should have said in response: “the fact you don’t think it’s an issue shows why I want to choose that topic”
Teachers like that are highly concerning. No teacher should ever say something like that. I agree it's a problem. If a student comes up and says to you "I believe this is a problem" then they obviously see it as a problem smh sorry for the tangent. Teachers like that get me very upset.
Wow I’m sorry that happened to you. Don’t be afraid to take those things to your principal/dean (not sure how old you are). I hope that there’s someone at the school you can turn to in those situations.
Rehabilitation should be improved in prisons, just look at the reoffending rates of USA vs say Norway or somewhere like that, these European countries have much better rehabilitation programs for prisoners, minimising the reoffending rate and therefore costing taxpayers less money in the long run, its a win win for society
"The larger issue is that the system is broken. I don't have a problem with taking ownership of my actions , it's society not taking ownership over it's own creations."
so. fucking. true.
In a way that's true, but each of us as individuals have much more power over our own lives than we do over "society." Generally, what separates successful from unsuccessful people is taking responsibility for one's own actions.
No, people make themselves criminals. Nobody forces people to break the laws.
Its not people are expecting no repercussion, but rather questioning why they are being persecuted in the first place.
The guy with dreads is justified in his feelings, y’all acting like he outta pocket, yall sound out of touch😒😒
Was very hostile
@@earthwax7946 gee i wonder why *Re-watches opening*
He seem's dangerously on edge just being in a cop's presence. He seem's like the guy to snap at you for random reason's, or if he feel's disrespected in any way. He actually did something to warrant prison time though, and he seemed a bit proud to admit it.
@@zaxbitterzen2178 again rewatch the opening
Guys in tje comments... Theres literally an explaination for why hes acting like that
Okay, that last question and their answers were amazing.
I’d listen to hours of Ping talking and voicing his opinion, he’s so well spoken and when he talks you’re so intrigued
“You’re telling me there’s levels of legality?” Yes, they’re called misdemeanors and felonies.
did you notice that even the cops sat when they asked "i've done something illegal"
@GD3RD 77 true... happens in argentina too.. I know a police Capt. And yes... ugh...
GD3RD 77 they weren’t joking to see if they should admit they just can’t remember or don’t know. Did you know that connecting to a strangers wifi network even if there’s no password is illegal? Going 5-10mph above the speed limit is illegal. Who knows how many crimes you commit every day
@@hydraz1443 I knew the wifi law. Its international. But it's like. No one cares about public wifi
Les Sneaky that’s not what he meant
I love how jubilee screens the people they put on the show. All very intelligent and well spoken, great organization.
it is very interesting to see them all in a place. and i wish there were more episodes about this.
The black dude looks like he was about to take another five years for swinging on an officer😂😂
Annnnnd cops are the bad guys?
Eamon Worthen Literally nobody said that, shut the *fuck* up
@@999heavenly4 I think it's only fair you share your extra chromosome with the rest of us.
@@thatmf5228 literally everyone says that tf
@@xr337I think Ryan has some extra y'all could even out if you know how to count
Y’all should make cops go undercover and go into prison as an inmate and see how other cops treat them 😂
In that case, they should have BLM or whoever disrespects law enforcement to act as an undercover officer.
@Brayam Sierra They would also see how dangerous it is.
60 days in, they send in a cop in one season. Great show, the guy from the military looking after a fellow Marine he met in there who had PTSD and was starting fights with everyone was good too.
Cops are not in prison. Prison guards are.
Nila Tix very true, my mother was a correctional officer for many years, not a police officer
Love what y’all are doing here!! Just discovered your channel and I’m hooked. Thanks for the solid content!!🤙🏽💪🏽🔥
The nice cop seems to live under a rock.
no one is giving back 13 years of life to that asian guy for NOT using a gun.
Lucifero Sinistro your point?
Alaina Velasco the point is that’s fucked up
@@missesguh ok so if he used the gun would of be a diffirent story? It's the same for people who carry around a knife and complain they get charged. You wouldn't carry it of you don't have any intention of using it.
black shrek self defense especially depends on where u live
Bobby Singh R you don’t need a knife for defence, you need a knife for killing. Arguing that people carry knives for defends is so hypocritical
The cop seemed like a good dude and I think they needed to give him a tad more credit for his non judgement and willingness to just listen and trying to understand even, when people kept shooting his thoughts down.
agreed
Don't bother, people just love bashing on cops because the media tells them to.
Because he learned to be patient and listen... it’s part of his job
I think he was getting the exact right amount of credit. He was certainly considerate, respectful and thoughtful, but they treated him the same. His good attitude doesn't mean they have to water down their disagreements, and the whole thing was very polite, so I have to wonder what form this 'credit' you feel he's owed should have taken.
There were two cops btw
"I think that there IS reality." compelling argument
I mean this stuff is captivating. The world needs more of these types of conversations to make some real ground breaking moments.
STOP CUTTING THE CONVO WHEN SOMEONE WAS TRYNA PROVIN THEIR POINT!!! 😠😡
Thats the only pet peeves abt this series
Facts yo wtf up wit THST
Gendeng Raven they have a timer
Pyke and what’s the point of having a timer if you’re tryna have a discussion?
@@alexleon8836 because a lot of people dont want these videos to be hours long
@@alexleon8836 It's more of a debate, debate competitors are timed. This is done to make sure one person doesn't hog all the time, or purposely drags it out.
This is the best series on CZcams, hands down.
