I've being playing through the game again and came across your channel when I was searching about wich straight sword was the best for my build. Your guides are so good, they're very detailed, as you describe the stats of each weapon and their peculiarities, yet they are not massive with tons of info that bore me to death, like explaining every single move of each weapon. I also like the time that you take to describe each weapons, overall your guides are perfect to me who just want to play the game again and have fun trying out new weapons. Also, a question. Do you plan to do guides about conjurations too? Like, best staves, best pyros to carry with you, best weapons to use in your faith build, or something like that? I really like magic in this game but I aways end up using a rapier until I can get my hands on the ice rapier at the end, so I would really appreciate of you could some guides to lazy people like me :/ Hope you keep up with the good content and have fun doing it, and thank you for you well done guides.

Hi. I reinstalled ds2 today. Found your videos while looking for some interesting weapons. I appreciate that they are about specific weapon type and not just another "top 10 op weapons" etc.
The manikin sabre is the best curved sword to infuse, loses very small amount of phisycal damage. It is best option to use on elemental build with minimum stats. Also its very good on low level build :)
You seem to be missing the point about the Monastery Scimitar, as it's primary uses are as offhand weapon for some special heavy combo or as a parry tool, because it has much more parry frames than other curved sword and more importantly have instant parry frames with zero starting animation (the only weapon/parry tool with this feature in any soul game afaik) making parry timing incredibly easy with this thing even against really fast attacks Very good videos btw I like this serie a lot, really anticipating the reaper class
@@eddielolivares3952 it was patched out but reintroduced right away at the next patch, at least according to wiki (though I wouldn't take fextra infos too seriously) but wikidot says the same and as far as I remeber it was still near instant last time I tried, was a long time ago though
You should consider that the Melu scimitar has good reach, and low stats with very good elemental base damage so if you are gonna use it for looks just infuse it and enjoy.... at least until the warped sword is completely upgraded...

3:01 you missed the thing everyone loves about the monastery schimitar the ridiculous parrying accuracy.
The wiki says its been pached, because it was so good
Even after patch, it's still better than parrying dagger with 8 startup and 10 active frames.

I think the monastary scimitars instant parry frames were patched since it was really good i pvp.

I did a max ng+ run cosplaying as Vengarl and his weapons are not bad at that difficulty. It's true that I had max stats, but they were very good
