14:58 this is key and every reseller or collector should note the wise words of Chuck. Imagine doing something you love and the decisions you make in life paying for your love of the hobby. What this means is everything in this building is paid for by the money he made on the building itself. What an amazing story and I hope one day to replicate this amazing feat. Yeah all the stuff is cool but the fact that he resells to keep cash flow and all the stuff inside is worth less then the real estate itself that he owns. WOW!!!

Very informative on how to establish a business. Chuck seems to be a down to earth businesses owner and I love the fact he actually owns his building rather than paying rent.
Yea, read recent that they closed 1 or both other stores for any reason and part of it was rent went up on a place and lost space for parking and other reasons so 1 or 2 other stores he had are closed perm i think. so now just have the big place they are at in this video. i been to it once and hope to go again in future by chance.
He highlights the two most important factors in collecting are time and space , which are also two of the most fundamental principles of the universe.

I see you got a Mile High Comics shirt!! What a great story you shared at the beginning! Chuck cares so much, putting the bags over each book, and of course making the good point about not putting a sticker on books! I've caused cosmetic damage to packages trying to get stickers off, and I am always really careful and use the Goo Gone but sometimes there is just nothing you can do! If we can get an organizational system in place from the very beginning, it will be so much easier to keep organized, if he can do it with that massive quantity, we should be able to do it too! Thank you for sharing!

so chuck likes the paperback and hardback comic compilation books MORE than the original comic books. I have to agree with him - they are easier to read and hold without damaging plus the paper/color is a million times better!!!!

When J&R went out of business in NY. I went to their auction and happened to talk to the manager. He told me the owners figured out that the buildings they owned made more money in rent than the whole electronics business.

There's an easy way to solve this delima. Stop buying books past 2005 (except for variant covers) B/c the stories are just awful. They're not about superheroes but super social problems that didn't exist except for in print.....
