- The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate an early Saturday morning shooting that left two people dead and two others injured in downtown Macon.
The fact I live in Macon this news terrifies me
Hire officers and actually patrol the downtown area instead of responding to calls only. Time to be proactive not reactive.

I just recently moved here from another state and things happen everywhere but i rarely even see police presence when ive been in the downtown area.....and this police chief the way he speaks on camera when crime occurs i just can't take him serious frfr,his professionalism,demeanor and verbalizing is suspect ijs

Wow!!! I have searched your website and I would like to know why you don't report the death of individual at LAKE TOBESOFKEE which occurred on the same weekend as the incident in downtown Macon. From my understanding a boat hit another boat, some individuals were hospitalized and one death. I also noticed when it was reported on your local television station, the reporter he did not pronoun the name of the lake correctly. If you report, please report in fair and justly manner. A crime is a crime no matter where it occurs.

I went to elementary school with Donovan Cason and just learned of him being killed 😕. It’s so unfortunate he was killed at only 20 years old. May his young son be blessed

Yes any street in any area is safe until u have a hot head and their gun on it. It’s not the business ‘s it’s the ppl. More cameras and security. Put some retired military and pOlice with clean back ground who want some extra income. And really pay a decent dollar.
Maybe patrol the streets on bikes and horseback,,,? And then, there are no guarantees...The victims are so young...It seems that a good ole fashioned a**-whooping is out of the question and is non-existent in modern society.. Seems cowardly to handle disputes by shooting and killing each other. Just sayin...WAKE UP PEOPLE! Our young people are in desperate need of guidance. They are our future. God help us all and pray for our children.
