Joe Rogan & Forrest Galante sit down and discuss which cryptids may be real. Cryptids include Bigfoot, Yeti, the chupacabra, the Jersey Devil, the Loch Ness Monster, the Mokele-mbembe, and more. I used the Mothman in the thumbnail if anyone is curious.
Forrest Galante is an international wildlife adventurer, conservationist, author of "Still Alive: A Wild Life of Rediscovery" and host on Discovery Channel.

They say their not in N.C. any longer. While driving on the Blue Ridge parkway around 2007 I was heading from Linville towards Blowing Rock, I had a friend of mine with me and I had to bring my Truck to a dead stop to avoid one that walked slowly across the road like he owned the place. The second he/she hit the Rhododendron it was gone. My friend was on his phone and yelled out MTN Lion. I felt blessed to have seen it. I called the Grandfather mountain Forest service that same afternoon and told me I had to be mistaken. Their liars or fools there are a lot of bobcats there even some have tails but what we saw was 100% a mountain lion. Quite majestic.

My childhood best friend's dad was a Michigan park ranger, gave me the greatest explanation as to why many states deny big cats (for example). if/when a location admits to there being some crazy new rare animal (for example) they are then obligated under many different laws to preserve the land further, prohibit new development, pass new protective conservationism laws protecting whatever it is they found, etc. In essence, they lose some control over the land commercially. Many places choose to ignore/low-key cover it up essentially until it can't be hidden anymore.

The oceanic environment is lot less forgiving with regards to evolutionary traits, the reason we never find much at the bottom of the sea is because of the depth pressure & lack of sunlight, there are far less variety of creatures that live down there because its a harsh environment & less creatures also means less of an eco-system i.e no prey = no predators.

Firstly, not everyone lives in the US or other first world countries, and not everyone has a $1,000+ phone.
Secondly, as good as phone cameras have gotten nowadays, compared to dedicated cameras, especially those of professional grade, they still have their shortcomings.
Even the best phone cameras on the market struggle to focus on objects in movement. They also have relatively horrible zoom.
Expecting crystal clear footage, even 1% of the time, even in this day and age is a very unrealistic standard.

It was dark as hell out there being that it was in the middle of nowhere but after a few hours we noticed something in the distance maybe about 50 yards from us that was zig zagging in a straight line which was such an odd movement from any dog or other animal and we could clearly see bright red glowing eyes as it came closer and it then ran right past our truck. Out of fear we didn't get out of the truck but when I tried following it I looked through the back window and it was gone? To this day I'm almost certain it was a chuppacabra as I had only described what we saw that night before I started looking it up and to my surprise it was depicted exactly the way I remember it looking which is what tripped me out even more that what I saw that night was real.

I saw a black panther in North Carolina. Never told a soul because I knew no one would ever believe me but it was either a black panther or a black Jaguar. It even had the spots but it was easily between 80 - 120 pounds. Far too big for a bobcat or cougar but too small and lanky to be a bear. It was about the size of a full-grown deer in body length and width but it was half it's height with a tail practically as long as its body. It was super fast, too. I was walking this trail to get to my deer stand and I heard this loud thump and crackling like something huge had fallen not far from me. Turned on my heel to see this thing at the base of a tree, crouched and slouched like it had just dropped from the tree itself, and was staring right at me. Before I even had enough time to breathe, it turned and sprinted off so fast and silently I was amazed, as I realized I had gotten lucky as hell hearing it drop from the tree in the first place. And the fact I further realized I had walked right under that tree, pretty much, just a moment before while it was sitting up it. I had the distinct realization that that thing could have killed me had it wanted to.
I had my gun on me of course but around the same time as I thought about shooting it it had taken off.

Early one wintry morning, I saw a nearly full grown cougar on the snow-covered campus of JCCC Overland Park KS years ago. That year, there had been a spike in the local suburban deer population and the winter was extremely cold. I remember that year hunters were allowed to bow hunt deer in Shawnee Mission Park because the deer population was growing out of control. JCCC campus is just a few miles from a place called Corporate Woods, where there were a lot of deer. They would roam the neighborhoods between Corporate Woods campus and JCCC campus. This had been a developed suburban area for more than 15 years. Skunks were common on campus, and I had seen coyotes, foxes, possums, raccoons, and smaller varmints regularly. I'd seen more wildlife living near and working on that campus than I had while growing up in a rural/suburban area south of KC.

For the first 25 or so years of my life, I spent a ton of time in the countryside and in the back country of Oregon. We went camping, fishing and hunting all the time and our family were loggers. I grew up in the timber industry and we were out there a lot. I have seen only three cougars in the wild in all my life and they were all at the same time: a mother and two yearling cubs. To that fact, I have only seen around a half-dozen black bear. It's hard to believe with so many of these critters out there running around a person wouldn't have seen more of them, but then there's the coyote and bobcat as well. They just don't want to be seen and they're pretty dang good at succeeding in that endeavor. Could Sasquatch be a real creature? I'm not going to say they are and I'm not going to say they aren't, but I'm sure I have never seen one.

There is no mistake when a wolf has a head three times bigger than the biggest wolf you've ever seen and it stands up on 2 legs towering a foot or two over a corn field...and its eyes are shining red, you look at its torso and see muscles like prime time Arnold, long arms like a human with 5 digit fingers ending with 6 inch long claws. You know immediately you're looking at a goddamn werewolf but your mind is having trouble processing since you're paralyzed with such fear you never felt before. Its looking at you, showing a razor sharp set of huge teeth sniffing the air, checking for your pheromones. If it smells your fear its gonna want you. Fear seasons the meat. If you live in the woods it will follow you home, pissing and clawing the trees around your house. Its gonna look inside your window, tapping and scratching the glass. Jump on top of the roof. Crawl under the house. If you see one, theres usually another 3 or more watching you from the sides. They are real. Go see Dogman Encounters Radio or just type in dogman/werewolf. There are hundreds of credible encounters.

When it comes to cougars I have seen 5 in my life but I do live on Vancouver Island which is supposed to be the highest concentration of cougars in North America and during these sightings I was working in the logging industry in very remote places on the northern end of the island. These areas are mostly unpopulated. I logged for 20 years for these 5 sightings. It should also be said I never seen them while walking or outside of a vehicle. We spotted one from a boat and the rest we surprised them while driving. I should also mention it seems like you will see 1000 deer per 1 cougar sighting and deer are usually very skidish. If a cypted had the same type of stalking habits as a cougar which hate to be seen and had a very small population and lived far from populated areas I think it's possible that there could be some surprises in the cypted feild but, also working as a west coast fishing guide for 8 years I think the oceans have a greater chance of holding weird surprises. I did see a type of beaked whale I cannot positively identify like a giant dolfin 15 to 20 feet long with strange skin markings almost like grey camouflage of sorts but, only seen it once for 2 or 3 seconds.
