Making Argan Marshmallow Lavender Butter (Includes Recipe)

  • When I originally created this recipe/ formula I made it for my hair. After a while, I realize the butter felt great on my skin as well, especially in the winter time when I combating cold temperatures outside and dry heat inside.
    If you decide to use formula, make sure you comply with good manufacturing practices, even if it’s for home use and follow the manufacture’s instructions on the appropriate usage for your preservative.
    The formula/recipe provided is for a small batch.
    RECIPE/INGREDIENTS:
    Water Phase: (Hold at 170 degrees 20 mins.)
    Marshallow Root Infused in Distilled Water 3.7 oz /106 gm
    Glycerin - 0.2 oz / 6 gm
    Allantoin - 0.1 oz / 3 gm
    Oil Phase: (Hold at 170 degrees 20 mins.)
    Argan Oil - 0.4 oz / 11 gm
    Jojoba Wax - 0.2 oz / 6gm
    Aloe Oil - 0.3 oz / 9 gm
    Lavender Buds Infused in Olive Oil - 0.3 oz / 9 gm
    Shea Oil - 0.1 oz / 3 gm
    Shea Butter - 1.6 oz / 45 gm
    BTMS-50 - 0.4 oz / 11 gm
    Stearic Acid - .03 oz / 9 gm
    Vitamin E - 0.2 oz / 6 gm
    Cool Down (Below 120 degrees)
    Lavender Essential Oil - 0.2 oz / 6 gm
    Germall Plus Liquid - 0.05 oz / 1.4 gm

    Oh I need to use up my Argan oil it’s on its last legs. I’ll give this a go. I have all the ingredients already. I love marshmallow root for my natural hair pack.
