As a life time ravens fan, i respect kuechly, i respect wagner, i respect bowman but Patrick Willis was the guy I genuinely think played on the same level as Ray Lewis. Not as long because of injuries but same level. Was my favourite backer in the league once Ray retired ✊🏾
Mad respect. It hurt Pat to play most of career with Ray in the league because Ray was so good that nobody ever wanted to admit that there was another guy in the NFL gunning for that title. And truth be told by the time Pat came into the league, Ray was on the back end of his prime. Really and truly Pat was the best linebacker in the NFL for nearly 8 years but for some reason wasn't a household name.
@@jamescinman1993 facts bro
Yeah, he Patrick Willis in his prime was the greatest linebacker ever or at least tied with Ray Lewis.
Well said, hopefully those clown voters will get it right and put him in the HOF...
Respect 💯
He is a hall of famer in my opinion. I don’t care if he retired early.
Can we say the same for Kuechly?
Jaun Schambreel Definitely
Absolutely! Without a doubt, one of the best ILB to play in the last 20 years.
Good tackle machine but not a game changer
@@StrangeTimesNear lmaoo you are sooo wrong
Willis was a beast on the field, he made nfl players look like boys. I know he will eventually get his bust in Canton, Ohio.
I hope he does also, man was a straight beast and he was very intelligent on the field 💯
He retired so early imo he still had good years left in him
@@id0316 just like Calvin his ankles were destroyed. He was in a rapid decline and didnt trade his remaining health for a few sub par years
@@donsolos I thought it was turf toe? This dude will never be a hof. Not enough accolades.
@@Hi-bb5lo DROY, 7 Pro Bowls, 5 First Team All-Pro lol
This was a GROWN ASS MAN literally, One of A Kind...
To anybody that’s watching this I want to remind y’all, Keep Going & Be Safe 🤟🏾💯
Willis-Bowman the best LB duo of the 2010s. Retired too damn early smh
It’s not like Willis had a choice
@@chadbinger8700
Yeah, it sucks. But his 8 years was monstrous.
The 49ers had the greatest linebacking core in the history of the game at that time. The worst one was pro bowler Ahmad Brooks. It was ridiculous and a pleasure to watch.
One of the greatest duos ever hands down
One of the greatest to do it! He may have had a short career but IMO still H.O.F. worthy! #NinersForLife #ForeverFaithful
Patrick Willis from 2007-2013 was a monster for the 49ers.
Dude was a killer out there on the field loved watching him been waiting for this breakdown
Murdered everyone that ran A slant 😂😂
Type in Chris Johnson vs Pat Willis...thank me later
I've had Patrick Willis as my computer wallpaper for probably 8 years. 😅
😂😂
8years without a virus on your computer, everybody fear willis
Still do...
@@dxx1058 nice!
Patrick Willis was a beast!!!
I’m still trying to understand how the HOF committee snubbed this man!! So he had a shorter than average career. What he did in that time is nothing short of legendary.
Great player, his instincts are stellar and his skill set makes him super human. He deserves a Super Bowl Ring/s.
I'm not a 49ers fan as a matter a fact I'm a Raider Fan and he is the reason why I wanted to play football and linebacker at that. This man was truly a beast and very underated.
Patrick Willis was an outstanding LB
Willis is mad underrated
I don’t care what people say he was the best linebacker I got to watch, even through the rough years he was a beast Niner Empire all day!!!!!!!
Favorite player of all time baby! Also, those dislikes are the people he DEMOLISHED.
Him and Jerry Rice are 1a and 1b. Kittle climbing the ranks too lol
Pat Willis was a BEAST!
Even when we were bad we had HOF's on the squad. Niners just oozing with tradition.
My all-time favorite player
Fav player all time
These breakdowns by baldy are so damn good. I love the energy. Willis is an absolute legend though. If it were up to me, he'd get voted in first ballot on the Calvin Johnson principal. One of the GOAT even though it was only 8 years. He was as good as it gets his entire career. Loved watching him.
I just love Baldys enthusiasm in all of these videos man lol.
A man who loves football.
Really appreciate the Patrick Willis love! Man was an absolute beast!
This was how good Patrick Willis was, on my player career mode it was set on normal difficulty but when I played against Willis if felt like it was set to all madden he was everywhere and I couldn't juke him he would intercept me stuff all the runs he was super man. He would truck me for fumble, he had it all
A Hall of Famer if I ever saw one.
id honestly name willis as the greatest LB of all time. Lewis was known for being a run stop and hitting machine and willis was too. but willis was all around a complete LB. Speed, size, strength, athleticism, ru. stop ability and his very underrated pass coverage ability.and he only played 8 seasons. he retired young and we weren't able to see him ball out as long as he could. truly the goat
lewis was a great coverage linebacker in his earlier years. he is the goat.
my 52 niners jersey will forever be my all time favorite. hope hes enjoying retirement
Miss this guy he made me fall in love with the position even more and we gotta win a ring for him
Damn it’s already been 7 years since we last saw P.Will play...crazy how fast these dudes are in and out of the league
I really hope he goes to the HOF. He was easy the best LB in the game since play 1.
Ya’ll had Willis and Bowmen at the same time 🔥🔥🔥 crazy times back then
Willis, bowman, J smith, aldon smith, goldson, a brooks. That defense was incredible
Sad the 9ers weren't able to win a super bowl with them together. Them teams were some of the all time greats!!!
@@MrGodly-zd7tx Kap never could throw that back shoulder fade. Lost an NFC Title game and Superbowl.
@@jamescinman1993 , yeah, the Alex Smith/Kaepernick combo killed their shot at a superbowl win.
@@MrGodly-zd7tx go back and look at those playoff games against Seattle the fix was in for us to lose check out the egregious bad penalties we was either getting bad calls or no calls
I know about butkus and singletary and ray Lewis but to me Patrick Willis was one of the greatest MLB I have ever seen. He could do it all
Awesome film breakdown!
The fastest player at that position I have ever seen and he made some amazing plays no other LB in history could have made.
SO EXCITED TO GO DEC 19 2021 to see Pat Willis receive his 49ers HOF HONORS…
my favorite all time player F BEAST!!!!!
Patrick Willis WOW
Pat willis would've been a first ballot hall of famer if he played a little longer i feel the voters gonna give him a hard time to get in to canton
West TN native and represented us well!
Best middle linebacker EVER!!!
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I’m so lucky to have seen PW play. He and Bowman were amazing to watch
LEGEND
My absolute favorite player ever! 5 time all-pro 7 out 8 year pro bowler HOF without a doubt
Glad Baldy giving my guy P. Wills some love!!!! Career wasn’t long as you would’ve liked but can’t deny he’s one of the absolute best LBs to ever play
I was just thinkin bout this dude the other day and saying he was the best LB I ever seen! 👏 Much props to P Will.🙏💪💪
B.Baldy is a legend!!! No doubt. Elite
Thank you NFL for giving us Brian Baldinger's "Baldy Breakdowns" as he really sees things and points them out as KEYS. WELL DONE.
I got pumped by him breaking this down lol
Absolutely GOATED
Him and Bowman form the best MLB duo in the modern day NFL. Injuries cut Both guys career short. Just imagine what could've been if both stay healthy and Willis didn't retire to early. Willis and Bowman were both just entering their prime. If the 49ers had Willis leadership this past season on defense. Maybe KC wouldn't have won the super bowl.
He was the best at his position in the NFC day 1. Kuechly close 2nd
My favorite linebacker behind Ray Lewis
Great edit and great subject. How many hours of film do you think you went through for this?
Love these breakdowns keep them coming!!
Patrick Willis was a monster!
I couldnt like this video more. I am a diehard fans of Willis, and always will be. The man is a consummate professional, and one of the best to ever play his position. He's like a living legend.
Imagine he said he had issues with his feet for years , amazing player he was my guy , wish he played longer !
P willis dont even need speed to deliver a massive hit he just explosive w his hits n thats what made him so scary
🐐🐐🐐😭😭
P willis and bowman was a two headed monster on the field.
Baldy no one do it like you, you are best.
I remember watching him as a kid. He was already leading the team in tackles and that was on some terrible niner teams
Yea Frank Gore on offense and Patrick Willis on defense were the bright light during those dark days lol
I hate that he retired early. I was looking forward to the “ray or willis who u got?” debates. He was on that level. Just a freak as a shot caller on defense. Never out of position. Was calling thw audibles and adjustments on defesne as a fkn rookie. Man was a monster and his entire linebacking group were monsters as well.
As a Hawks fan, he and Navarro were one of the best duo ILBs.
I need friends with this kind of energy
PWilly was the best linebacker I ever saw
Best football player I've ever seen with my own 2 eyes. The man was special. Very rarely did he miss a tackle. If he got his hands in you, you were going down. He had strength, speed, instincts, intelligence, vision, drive, hunger, he had it all.
one of the best MLB's I have ever seen
He was the closest thing we’ve ever seen to Ray Lewis but he was even FASTER! I think of him and Lewis similar to Kobe and Jordan 💯🐐
That play at 6:41 is the epitome of instincts. His gap is right in front of him, and most LB’s would shoot it if they saw an opening like that. But to be patient enough to sense that Marshawn was going outside is just next level. The casual fan wouldn’t even notice it. Amazing first ballot HOFer, idc what anyone says.
When I grow up I want to be a quarterback for the safrancisco 49ers that is my dream
to late because i want that job go find another one😂
Make it a reality
Brian G u too
i like music i like your mindset
Brian G I'm gonna get that job
Devin White reminds me of Willis. Size, speed, both were dominant in the sec
One of the best MLB ever to play the game.. #52
2020 season 49ers🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
I remember when Patrick announced his retirement. I thought wow what a loss BUT Chris Boreland took over and it was like we didn’t miss a beat. Boreland was a beast! Then he retires and that’s was the end of our glory days of defense of the Harbaugh era.
Best LB imo
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
BRASILL 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
No
Beast killer
Cool
Dude was a 90 speed MLB in madden... never forget 😂
Devin White is a 92 speed
The god dam turf toe. He was on track to becoming one of the greatest MLB of all time, and that’s not just because I’m a Niner fan. He was truly one of the greatest in his generation
52🔥🔥🔥
He was the best
We have had some good drafting and luck (Reuben Foster aside) at linebacker. Willis, Bowman now we have Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw. Not to mention Chris Borland had he not retired SO early would have been a stud.
The man he was the best lb ever. Period
"they went down to Lambeau and won"
*clearly in SF*
Was just about to comment that
He’s the best linebacker in Madden 20
Shazier is way better.
Chad Binger no hes not 🤣i got a niners theme team and my patrick willis is every where with a 99 speed
what u goofy 😂😂
Miss this guy on the field smh 💔
Patrick Willis to me will always be a top 10 linebacker, it’s a shame he retired so early
that defense was good for a long time. should have been in more than one SB's between 2011-2013 seasons, caught some bad breaks against the giants one year in the NFC title game. if they had a better offense, it would have been 2 or more SB's for sure for that group.
GOAT! Put him in the HOF now!
52 might be the greatest mlb number
Willis & bowman was something else. Always thought bowman was a lil better. Both had heart . Willis was the ballhawk/ cornerstone
Bruh I've never heard that Willis is a HOF and bowman is sadly not
There’s few great middle linebackers. Wagner probably the only one left after Luke retired. Willis deserved the Super Bowl ring
Willis was a menace on the field !!! Damn shame he retired so early, he had more than enough in the tank to play longer !!!
💪💪💪
Patrick Willis should be in the HOF, I know he didn’t play long enough for some but he’s easily a top 5 LB all time on his prime
7 pro bowls is enough!!
I hate that he retired early. But for his health, I understand why he did. When you feel it’s time to hang it up, it’s that time. Future HOF first round ballot 🤙🏼
