Only Amy was able to let him see what a difficult person he is. To his friends, he doesn't treat them seriously although he loves them in his own way, but his behavior sometimes is too much and as Amy said, he breaks their hearts and the only reason why he's being tolerated is that they know he doesn't realize he's being mean. I'm so glad Amy came. She helped Sheldon become a better listener, open to change no matter how slow, and correct his selfish behavior. She's the reality check he needs in his life and she has shown him so much unconditional love enough for him to listen and accept her criticism and advice.

I feel bad for Amy because she needed some time to think before getting married to Sheldon........Jeez Sheldon can you calm down and wait Amy said that she needed some time to think about it.
Even though it wasn't a good moment I love the fact that Bernadette runs after her. Even if they rub each other the wrong way at times they're still good friends

They didn't break up because Sheldon is asking her to get married. They broke up because Sheldon is taking her for granted. The pain has built up in Amy over the past seasons where Sheldon is basically treating her like sh*t. She's had enough and said she wants time to think about their relationship. Anyway, it made Sheldon realize how selfish he was to her. Ten episodes after their breakup, he asks her to become his girlfriend again and they started dating again which is heart fulfilling. Their bond became stronger after that breakup and Sheldon became a more loving and better boyfriend to Amy. Their love story is one of the best I've seen in all TV shows I've watched.
Sheldon was pretty much harassing her. I’m glad she got up and left.
Again, nothing is ever simple with them. Congrats Penny & Leonard.
I’m seeing and reading a lot of hate against Sheldon which I understand but ironically you know that there’d have been no show without Sheldon.
Not to mention, as annoying and unbearable as Sheldon was he actually had better character development than most of the other characters: Bernadette got mean and like a bully as the show progressed while nearly all the others hardly changed at all or had only partial small moments of development.
Leonard and Penny’s relationship after being married proved to be a waste and they turned to Sheldon for help asking him to make them a relationship agreement. Again, irony that for all of Sheldon’s quirks and mannerisms, the gang did turn to him for help at times and to use some of his ways to make things easier for them.
To me Howard easily had the best character development,he was creepy as hell who then went on to become a really good father of 2

Well, Sheldon and Howard had more character development than the others, but imo, the extent of Howard’s character development was when he apologised to Bernadette before they got married and showed how she’d made him a better man, even Penny got emotional hearing his apology.
But I consider that to be the most of it for Howard because he then didn’t step up and start taking responsibility and helping Bernadette out through housework, cooking and their taxes etc., which he did admit to I’m season 9 that he needed to work on.
When they had their kids I’d say that Howard definitely changed but his character development just seemed to get downplayed a lot.
@@knowledgegathererdraftsave1979. What about Amy? She was even more robotic and, insensitive and insulting than Sheldon when she first came on but she became very understanding and compassionate!
Honestly Sheldon should have been the one to end the show being single, not Raj.

Having a film made entirely about Amy and Sheldon with such actors as Jim and Mayim will be a gold mine especially in Asia !
Sheldon always was an ass.
He never was, ever , in love with this woman. Never showed any passion . Just a sort of childish dependence . That's not a marriage.
They needed to stay broken up . Amy deserved waaaay better. It's too bad the writers endowed Amy with such a warped idea of what love looks like . This isn't it.
She had zero self esteem and stayed with him.
If it were real life? Only Bernie and Howard would still be together.
They knew how to communicate , and had a healthy, adult kind of love.
Leonard would be upset if he found that Sheldon wouldn't shut up during the ceremony, and would also never forgive him.

Sheldon became insecure about relationships because his mother loved god too much and his family lied, cheated and messed up badly with relationships
He was so insecure and stubborn because he was too scared that he would end up making the bad decisions his family did
When Georgie got Mandy pregnant, that was one of the toughest times of his life, his family was a mess
