    *The Curbelo-Moulton "Ban" set to be introduced in the House later this week was announced after the filming of this video. Contact your reps above (yes, it's a NRA link but it's still the best option) especially those listed in the article above. We'll cover this bill in more detail later this week.
    In this Gripe, we discuss many current events and our opinions of them, talk about the NRA's current political positioning, and talk about CZcams pulling relevant videos pertaining to the device used in Vegas. This is going to get interesting. Stay tuned, much more on the way.

    We want to make something very clear. We DO NOT support any erosion of our rights in any way. We refuse to give a single inch to people who only want to leave us unarmed and defenseless. These people have a false sense of reality and are constantly surrounded by heavily armed security. Guess what...their security detail doesn’t have bumpfire Stocks, they have MACHINE GUNS because their life is MORE important than yours. They are willing to sell your rights up the creek in order to make THEM feel safer and they will do it under the guise of protecting the populace. As someone who understands the military and fighting men, I smell a rat. Keep your ears to the ground people!

      Iraqveteran8888 I think we need evolution of gun rights, not an erosion.
      I think applying the same machine learning mechanics for financial audits should be applied to firearm ecosystem management. Analyzing rates of firearm transactions, etc to flag abnormal purchase patterns and or potentially identifying advanced persistent threats (long haul strategic stockpiling, etc).
      Otherwise I believe our current trajectory will put us at an disadvantage to domestic threats.
      A happy medium needs to be discovered, discussed and put into action by 2A advocates and our government.

      Iraqveteran8888 I know a lot of you don't agree with the NRA on this one but I think they did the right thing getting ahead on this one. I understand the mentality of this being a slippery slope but I don't believe that is what this is. I feel like we should give them bump fire stocks or else it's very possible the legislation drafted could of been much worse.

      Alex Agius well said, im also a brit and think our gun laws are shite, and do nothing to stop "gun crime", if a scumbag wants a gun, he wont stick to laws and shop at a registered gun shop!!, if someone wants a gun bad enough, he will find a way of getting one, auto, shotgun, handgun or canon, all are available at the right price. Vegas sucked, completely tragic, i couldnt believe that the politicans were sabre rattling in under an hour, no word for the victims or famillys, just hate speech towards gun owners. I wish you all luck in fighting the system, my american friends, as many others have said before me , dont back down, dont end up like us, the only way is to fight to keep your rights. Good luck. All the best.

    • @xb0xisbetter
      @xb0xisbetter Před 6 lety +3

      Thunderbug, so what if gun crime is lower per capita? What a relief it must be that people are being stabbed and run over instead of shot. I know that would sure comfort me when society is going to hell. Violent crime in the UK has also gone up significantly since the handgun roundup, probably because criminals were thus given a free hand to then do whatever the hell they wanted to law abiding citizens without much risk of resistance.
      Thank you for the kind words, and your support, Alex and HellBilly. Many of us have felt another civil war coming since the election. I would prefer it not come to that, but if we're backed completely against the wall with no alternatives to keep our rights, I feel most of us will answer the call. I mean no disrespect in this regard, but we've got some experience with resisting tyranny.

  • @capfanaticos
    @capfanaticos Před 6 lety +25

    Exactly! I live in Brazil, one of the places with the biggest arms restrictions in the world. The laws of disarmament have been imposed on us at times like that of Vegas, where there is great commotion.
    The false and misleading justification was: that guns fueled violence and that by decreasing people's access to arms we would ensure that crime was reduced. Result: In 2003, when the control law was imposed we had 28,000 violent deaths a year, today we have approximately 70000. Today the citizen has no possibility to defend himself against the criminals inside their homes or against the corrupt ones that have taken over the national congress. People can not afford it !!

      Diabolical I'm not big on this argument. I understand the mentality however, not regulating bump fire stocks could be a much larger slippery slope... targeting bump fire stocks is giving those out for blood a item most of us gun lovers don't care about, if we didn't get ahead of this there is a good chance this anti gun legislation could of been much worse.

    • @alexoelkers2292
      @alexoelkers2292 Před 6 lety

      keith moore right now anti gun sentiment is extremely high, their momentum right now comes from the fact that no matter how many shootings happen no gun laws change, this is the where the anger comes from in a lot of people. The largest mass shooting in the united states just happened. Would less people have been killed if a bump stock was not used? Most likely yes. The NRA and ten republican senators believe banning bump stocks will fix this situation in the eyes of many people, and head off stronger legislation that could be drafted and passed.

      A lot of the top “thinkers” say that this is the beginning of a time of “great civil unrest”. The Digital and Information Age is affecting the world and how we communicate at a rate faster than we, as a society, can adapt to. We adapt slowly to major changes. But IMO the hot issues are race relations, global warming (its a thing), rogue nations like DPRK starting a nuclear war, CRISPR, and a few other things.

Here in France, we haven't been so attached to it as you heroically did since 1776, and the result is we live beneath a steel sky, and we are oppressed by a despotic state, which is by the way incompetent in any way possible. Give them an inch, they will take a mile. Keep standing ! Cheers from France.

    I am a law enforcement officer in a major city. The problem I see when there is a crime or firearms violation, it's the OFFENDER that doesn't get punished appropriately. It's tricky dick defense lawyers who get the OFFENDERS off by saying, "He had a bad day, he never got a hug as a child" The OFFENDERS get the minimum sentence and/or probation. In the meantime there was a crime committed with a firearm. We in the gun community get punished with laws and restrictions. Let's start with this, put the pressure on law makers and judges to enforce proper punishment for OFFENDERS who commit crimes and firearms violations. We do this, we'll have a leg to stand on when it comes to our 2nd Amendment rights!

    Consider the newly updated timeline.
    9:59 p.m.: Unarmed Hotel security guard is shot in the leg on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
    10:05 p.m.: First shots fired on music festival. This was seen on closed-circuit television from the concert venue.
    10:12 p.m.: First two officers arrive on the 31st floor and announce that the gunfire is coming from directly above them.
    10:15 p.m.: The last shots are fired by the perp.
    10:17 p.m.: The first two officers arrive on the 32nd floor.
    As soon as the first event happened, *they knew* that there's a shooter in the suite. Supposedly, there were 17 armed guards and 183 unarmed guards on duty at the hotel.
    Neither the armed hotel security guards, nor the LV police officers made any attempt to breach the room. Heck, the officers didn't even attempt to reach 32nd floor until *after* the shots stopped. The key point here isn't that they're all cowards, although it is a point to consider.
    The key point here is the fact that *you cannot rely on security guards, nor law enforcement* to protect you!
    This event *proves that 2nd Amendment is MORE IMPORTANT than ever!*

      @ColoradoStreaming Před 6 lety +2

      That or the whole thing is set up. The cops used to use my high school to train for active shooter drills and the tactic from the last 10+ years has been to form an armored phalanx with ballistic shields and charge in and take the perp down as soon as possible.

    • @Bl4ckD0g
      @Bl4ckD0g Před 6 lety +10

      catsspat unarmed or armed guards are not allowed to breach rooms. They aren't SWAT. Mind you I used to work for Mandalay, now while there may have been some armed, it was primarily the management team and the investigators. The other armed officers are bike units that weren't even close. Also there were not 183 guards on duty at that moment. Maybe there's 183 throughout all shifts, but your typical shift has about 30-40 officers per. Now this happened during the Swing/Graveshift crossover, so there may have been about 60 or 70 officers on site. Again, though they can't act legally, the minute the shooting started, it was a police matter and security was just there to prevent loss of life in the hotel. There wasn't much that could have been done except for maybe a faster SWAT response. Unfortunately in order to appease guests and pay for less liability insurance, most hotels will not arm their guards nor are they going to start inspecting luggage. There's no real fix in the system there.

      Every American male over the age of 14 is by law a part of their state's militia, whether they realize it or not, whether they train for service or not, whether they have some membership card or not. The text about a well-regulated militia is not a requirement for the people's right to keep and bear arms, it's actually a call to civic duty. Owning guns is more than a natural, God-given right, but a civic duty in a free republic. We all must vote to preserve our right to have elected representatives. We all must serve on jury duty, to preserve our right to have a fair trial and due process in the courts. We all must keep and bear arms and be prepared to use them to preserve our right not to be subjects to some king or other dictator. If we don't exercise our rights, we will lose them. If we don't take our civic duties seriously, we lose our government of the people, by the people, for the people. Our civic duty to keep and bear arms as insurance against tyranny was so important the Founding Fathers saw fit to specifically mention it, where in most of the Bill of Rights they merely talk about the restrictions on government. Never forget that.

    Everyone PLEASE contact your representatives and tell them you oppose any legislation that limits your gun rights! I know many people who whined and complained about what they were trying to pass during the 2012 attempted ban but didn't lift a single finger and make their opinion known to their representatives. Don't be one of these people! Please call and write your representatives!!! As an aside, if possible please write your own letter. Don't use one of those generic letters that people were passing around during the 2012 incident. While it is better than sending nothing, a thoughtfully written letter expressing your own personal opinion and reiterating that you are willing to be a one issue voter might receive more than a glance. Once you have personally written a letter feel free to send all of the generic letters you want to prevent them from ignoring the issue.

    Great video guys. The 2nd Amendment is clear, there should be NO infringement whatsoever. No legislative actions will deter an individual from committing these acts of armed violence. They'll always find a way and the legality of it won't matter. Criminals don't care about breaking the law. Violent acts by these people will continue to happen no matter what legislative actions are taken. The thing that will stop these acts are the legal owners stepping in and stopping the attack. Doesn't matter whether I want or feel that I need an AR or any other type of gun. If you don't want to own or touch a firearm, then that's your right just as its my right to own whatever gun I want. Any elected officials, whether at the federal, State or local level that vote or push for further gun restrictions should be voted out of office...

    CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!!! I've put together a short statement you can use if you wish. Feel free to use it as a script during a phone call or use it in an email. Change the wording or phrasing as you see fit. It's just a template for you to use to contact your elected officials if you're having trouble getting started.
    I wanted to express my feelings towards gun control measures that have been proposed recently. We all feel a deep sadness over the loss of life that happened recently in Las Vegas. However, it has come to my attention that the supposed answers being proposed by certain representatives in the House to deal with this tragedy would have ramifications that could violate the rights of millions upon millions of law abiding gun owners across the nation. Legislation that has been proposed to ban "bump stocks" has been so vaguely worded that it could be interpreted in a number of different ways that could potentially lead to a ban of any number of firearms and firearm accessories. I DO NOT SUPPORT SUCH EFFORTS. I would ask that you, as my representative take this into consideration and listen to your constituents who support the Second Amendment. Diane Feinstein said in TWO TV interviews that there is NO LAW that could have prevented the tragedy in Las Vegas. So why are they trying to pass new laws? Nancy Pelosi herself said recently that she hopes a ban on bump stocks would be a "slippery slope" to more gun control. They wish to gradually chip away at our rights until there is nothing left. I ask you to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and VOTE NO on any attempt at gun control that is proposed in the House of Representatives. Thank you for your time.

    I´m from germany and I would consider myself liberal to weapons, still I don't know how to stand to supressors.
    But no matter what, I am sure what ever is considered to regulate in guns in the us is pretty pointless because there are so many guns out in the us capable of such shootings. You could say that the point of no return has been decades before.
    It is of course wrong when legal owners get cut down in their hobbys for some maniacs actings, but is the same all around the world. Here in germany the regulations are very very crazy and it is definitly not of a collectors hobby as in the us, which basicly keeps me off the whole thing (which is sad to me).
    Otherwise while you guys are able to protect yourself and your relatives and friends with guns it is basicly not possibly to do the same in Germany (unless you have a confirmed thread that makes it possible and legal). Honestly there is nothing that could happen in the world that would make me think the us should get rid of that. There is basicly no legal possibilty to actually protect yourself aside from pepperspray, we are basicly open wild for all kind of criminals when we are outside at night, no fear to choose someone armed for criminals.
    Guys, considering all gangs, homicides, shootings and so on, fight for your damn rights, don't copy our mistakes.

    • @NCrdwlf
      @NCrdwlf Před 6 lety

      Thanks for your input. It is always nice to hear how other people from other countries feel about this. I know many of us feel like you think we are all just gun crazy Americans . The gun community fights hard to keep our constitution intact, not just the second amendment .
      The responsible gun owners here have never been the problem. It's the media twisting the numbers around to make us the bad guy. Hell 500 gang members were shot and killed in Chicago this year, already. We hear nearly nothing of this because it doesn't fit the correct agenda of the left or the media .
      You are correct when you say we are at the point of no return as far as a ban, but they will always try. They often try gun buy backs , but that does not work on the majority of second amendment supporters. You could literally offer me $ 20,000 for my AR. I wouldn't give it up.
      There is no way they could do a confiscation without outside help.. even our army isn't big enough for that. It truly would be a civil war at that point , if they were to try .
      I think the bigger problem here in the US is a general erosion of morality and respect ( including self respect) .
      Firearms are always the target of the fearful. I grew up shooting. Learned from my dad when I was 8. Back then we weren't taught to be afraid of them. I took target shooting as an elective in school.
      We have a poor mental health program here in the states, so there is effectively no way to keep the guns from the mentally unfit. That is probably a bigger issue than the number of guns on the market . The government doesn't even know where to begin with that, because it's easier to say that it's a guns fault. ....If I hit you with a shovel would you say , wow that's a bad shovel. Or would you say, that guy is nuts?? . We don't blame cars when someone dies in one. We don't even do that if someone is talking on a cell phone while driving, and runs over someone. Yet over here guns are the monster in the room.
      No one has tried to ban trucks and look how many people they have killed in Europe lately.
      The people who want to ban guns, live in fear , but don't know any other way than to talk of rounding up all the guns. Even though there is no way you could do that in a country of 330 million. It's logistically impossible.

Everyone I have met related to the 2A community weather it has been at the range, in a gun store, ect. has always been so down to earth and just good guys overall. I have the utmost respect and love. I initially entered the community for the protection of my rights as an American citizen, however, I quickly found that I loved the people just as much as I loved my rights.
