#Mecha #Gunpla #Tanks - Zábava
Yes, I want it all!!! Gunpla! Model tanks/planes! Model railroads! A fine art painting! Small scale models! Giant figurines! It all has something to teach us.
What He sais
I’m testing the water to see if there is interest for these topics that still didn’t fully reached the miniature and wargaming world, so be vocal and let me know if you want to explore more of this niche stuff! DROP a LIKE to help the diffusion of the video!!! See you later in chat😘
I’ve had to think hard about painting for the artistic side of things vs the gaming element. While it was the idea to revisit Blood Bowl with my son, I think I’ll be doing more painting for its own sake. There are so many cool sculpts and busts, I would love to see a wider range with attendant techniques…… although I’m still waiting to see your old Khadoran warjacks :)
Yes please
Doesn't really matter where techniques comes from. Panel lines could be added to a 40k tank for a bit more detail just as an example. Personally just want to learn and make better looking minis and games :)
This is great for Imperial Knights and Adeptus Titanicus too 😁
Your skills here are inspiring and amazing. Please do more of this! Really really enjoyable to see something that isn't a certain brand that needs not being mentioned.
Yes! more!
As a 40k player and a gunpla builder I would say we need more content that covers the gap between the two parts of the miniture hobby
Marco, I don’t care what you want to paint. You do it, I’ll gladly watch and learn.
You know that expression on Luke's face when Yoda lifts the X-Wing out of the swamp? That's me at 18:28.
For a long time I've been thinking "not just mecha? But Marco surely there are some mecha laying around right?" And now I'm finally getting to see some!
Hey Marco, what about doing a series on Battletech figures. They have released tons of super cool models the past two years.
Love it. Battlemechs from battletech would be a great one to do
Would love to see that as well.
THAT dancing Char at the begining :D You fine man of culture!
Greetings from Finland! I'm a little bit of an older geezer (I was a pre-teen when Games Workshop released their first Savage Orcs set) and haven't really painted miniatures in years, save a few Necrons and Ultramarines with my son. But recently I've begun feeling an interest in the hobby again, and so I've searched CZcams for modern painting channels. That's how I found your channel.
And as an artist myself (although not miniature) I must say you are AMAZING. Your knowledge and understanding of not only miniature painting but also color theory and even philosophy is absolutely professional. You are also extremely skillful, creative (even visionary), entertaining, rich in your English and very inspiring.
Thank you for sharing your art in such an elaborate and fun way!
Oh yeah, and PLEASE more MECHAZ!! 😁🤖
Holy cow, I need a panel lining video from you. It's kind of a scary section of the mecha hobby.
Also, after watching the whole video, that is one gorgeous exosuit.
I want more! More techniques, more model lines, just more Marco
You're my friendly internet art teacher. Any project you do, I'll watch, because even if it's not my bag I learn a lot about color and techniques.
Just decided to start a Tau army and this is Perfect!
An actual Mecha? I can't believe it. 😁
It is about time!😁
Just started getting into Battletech, so yes great timing
at last, MECHA. great model line too.
With Tau just being released for 40k, this comes at an excellent timing. It is also a topic not broadly discussed. Very curious on your approach!
And just as I'm getting into Adeptus Titanicus, perfect!
Not Just Mecha, but yes, definitely include mecha too, that armour is beautiful, and kindof yellow. If you can make yellow look good then you can make anything look good ;0)
please more mecha. Not Just (Not) Mecha
Amazing as always! Maybe some tau as bridging video to get more on board the mecha train.
I'm always amazed by the amount of techniques and different materials you use. Some I knew, some I didn't, but I always get mesmerized at your liberal use of them. In this case I think you only missed on using some dry pigments for dusting the base and the legs, to go for the full flush of mini painter techniques! Very inspiring work, as usual.
I'd watch you paint smiley faces all day, Marco. You paint; I watch. That's how it works.
Please make more content like this! You got some great knowledge to spread and this information is very applicable to other fields.
Been waiting for some good Mecha painting since I found your channel, Marco!
This was a personalized masterclass for my T'au Battlesuits. Woo-hoo!
Definitely make more mecha videos Marco I love the way you hybridize the painting styles and teach something that feels wholly your own.
Returning to rewatch this for the umpteenth time, of all of your excellent videos this is the one that aligns closest to the kind of painting I like to do. It's a pleasure seeing the heights a master can reach using the same ideas and techniques.
Hope you do many more mecha in the future!
That sponge technique is perfect. So little but exactly as much as you want to give extra depth.
Finally, a mecha! Definitely interested to see you build and paint more mechs. Techniques should be easily transferable to many bigger models in the wargaming scene.
I bought a cheap Black Friday battery vacuum. It is freaking awesome. Especially when scratch building. The dust is sucked up and if you accidentally suck in a small part, you can find it in the dust container on the vacuum
I'd absolutely love to see some more niche hobby stuff from you. It's always great to learn something new.
Variety is the spice of life. You'll always get more views with gw models but id love to see some different media that are adjacent.
Absolutely adore this video, thank you. I would be very interested in seeing more vehicle/robot painting videos, more than I am in gunpla-related modelling tricks etc.
Yes please to more mecha videos. I've got a big backlog of gunpla I need to get back to, and now I'm back into mini painting, I'd like to paint them as well. I've been thinking about keeping mine in permanent poses and painting light and shadow, too.
This is such a fantastic video! i love both mecha and armor as well. More of this please!
Congratulations - you may now feel ready to move to Tau battlesuits........😊
Seriously, a good idea and something you should definitely do more of on the channel. I've always wanted to see resoected armour modellers paint GW vehicles as they would do a historical subject - perhaps you should do the converse and paint a Sherman as you would do a mini?
I knew it was Mecha all along!!
I really value the variety of topics covered on your channel, and this is a welcome inclusion
Lovely! Great to see new techniques that apply to mechs AND to warhammer!
Yes please on modelling
More like this please!
I recently got into gundam and i have to say I'm really satisfied and eager to invest a lot my hobby time to it.
Since personally i like to work with mecha and vehicles and large models in general it allows you to put more effort to weathering and its not monopose.
And more affordable than Warhammer especially if you are not a player.
So yes please i would like to see you giving a makeover to a gundam.
As always great job Marco and thank you very much for sharing your techniques!
Ma.K on the big screen!
You could make a video of how to paint a Lego set and I would watch. And probably learn something.
This is great! Could you paint some newer CGL Battletech mechs in the future?
This 💯 this
Gunpla, but in your own style would be awesome!
Perfect timing! Just yesterday I started playing Weaseltech, a solo skirmish game with mechs! 😁
I'd love to see more of this! A lot of gunpla and scale modelling techniques are really useful for miniatures, it's nice to see this stuff.
Yes! Very curious about scribing panel lines, and what tools you really need to start out.
More of this please!
Yes! Please do more of these kind of videos!
I think there's a lot of overlap between painting wargaming minis, gunpla and historical models. Sooner or later something mecha or tanky will cross every wargamers path and ask for a solid paintjob, be it a sci-fi robot, a fantasy / steampunk siege engine or heavily armored monster. Some of the tricks and techniques common with the larger scale models also sure can work wonders on smaller minis, e.g. panel lining armor plates to make the structures pop or weathering with pigment powders. At least for me it is often easier to try out & learn new ways to paint/weather with larger surface areas than to go straight for tinier objects like a space marine shoulder pad, too.
Will definitely try some of these approaches (on a smaller scale) when I get onto my Infinity 'Knight of the Holy Sepulchre'. Would love to see more in the future as these techniques definitely have applications outside of mecha...and make me dangerously interested in one of these kits.
I would love to see more content like this. Like steer off Warhammer stuff for more realistic styles of painting. Well done man
Keep breaking all the rules and making stuff look awesome!! Masterful work once again. Thanks for a great video.
Lovely work! I'm starting to dip my toes into maschinenkrieger models so the more realistic armor painting styles would be a great reference.
Thanka Marco. Been getting back into Gunpla and can't imagine not painting them. Looking forward to your take on them. Maybe we'll get a custom Gammawolf war band out of you!
I’d love to see you do some Star Wars legion stuff!
I've had a gundam gunpla sat on the shelf for months as always felt not something could paint to a level I'd be happy with this video has made me dust it off so thank you
I just wanted to thank you for this. Absolutely love this and it will be amazing to paint my T'au
I wonder if you could use multiple layers of paint, weathering fluid, and varnish - to make a weird camo pattern?
No matter the type of model, you always have something new for us to learn. Beautiful paint job as always :)
I'm looking forward to the video. Personally I'm not interested in mecha as much... I'm more of a 28mm Fantasy nerd who started watching with your AoS stuff. But I've loved everything you've done on your channel so far! Variety is great!
Awesome!
I really would like more diversity in the topics. Bring it all on!
Funny, just this week I though about that I want some kind of table vacuum cleaner.
This was great. I loved seeing you whole process!
Thank you for another great video, this is the first time I have seen you paint mecha and I’d love to see more and to show off your advanced mecha skills
Can't wait for the next video!!
Marco, have you watched any of James Wappel’s Twitch or CZcams videos? He has primarily switched to using only oil paints on his minis. What do you think about his style? He has some great videos on OSL with handmade fluorescent oils.
And now I want to do this to a space marine lol!
I got a scriber just recently because I wanted more panel lines for the oil washes, and had to make my own!
Loved my small vacuum cleaners as well. Sadly they died quite fast. Hope you will have better luck.
I just realised I don't really comment all that often.
This is excellent work bud, an inspiring and entertaining video to watch as usual.
I for one would love to see more Mecha from you in your style and way of presenting (or anything else you wish to share with us really, I just enjoy watching your creative works).
Keep up the awesome work and take care ;)
Always interesting and informative. A new canvas brings opportunity to learn different techniques. Thanks
Would be cool even introducing to the wold of "what actually else you can paint" - keen on some cool gunpla, some tmm.
you are under rated! you have so many very educational videos!
Would love to see more vehicles! Learned so much from wtching this channel and could now use your help when I have to paint my vehicles :P
Again some really awesome techniques here. Definitely going to use the oil dot method on tanks and such. I was waiting for a video about something like that :)
Just feedin' the algorithm. Great video!
I'd definitely love to see some Maschinen Krieger :))
Cover a Sister of Battle real quick, and then we can steer clear of Warhammer indefinitely. We got Necron, Ork, Marines, yeah? All that’s left are the sisters. Maybe cover Order or the Sacred Rose or Argent Shroud? They’re color schemes you haven’t worked with yet, as far as I can tell. Especially the all white of Sacred Rose.
Please more mecha!
Ciao siniore Marco.
Subscribed to your amaz8ng channel.
I've always been I to painting modelkits, minis and most of all, mechas!!
I've been watching most of your technical videos and I can't get enough!!
Could you please do more videos about types of paintings for mechas , mostly weathering de0endibg ob their environment ( how to do spaceship paint and weathering?)
But mist of all I'd love a tutorial about how to paint animation cells style on a gundam ( like your Luffy) or a across kit.
The technique is more difficult to use on lots of flat panels and surfaces. Teach us how to simulate metal plares with shadows, like in the Saint Seiya anime.
I have a big animw figure that I'll use to test your anime cell style.
I hope you'll see this post.
Thanks again!
Fantastic as always, Marco!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
yes, i play infinity, a few mechs in that, nd battle suits.
I find this very helpful, please more...
This was incredible!
yes
I wouldn't mind seeing more Mecha and armor.
You are the Caravaggio of miniature painting
This looks sooooo good.
Awesome video! Have you done a video on a WH dreadnought before? I’d be interested to see your take! Thanks Marco
The promised Mecha has come. Armageddon is nigh!
Interested! Would love your opinion on techniques and approaches adding to models
Awesome video as always! If you don't mind me asking what setting do you have your Airbrush on when you're using the Liquitex Acrylic Inks? Mine seem to always come out a little watery and wet.
awesome
Hey Marco,
Thanks a lot for this tutorial and for all your videos in general. I am learning a lot with all of them and I really enjoy the way you explain the things. For me, they are definitely very useful.
I am looking forward to see more videos on this matter. It is not my thing, but as you said, learning from other fields brings other perspectives and widens our views. All those are very welcome effects.
I also have a question for you, in case you have the time to answer.
I have noticed that in your last two videos you have been using Liquitex Acrylic Gouaches. I have been keeping an eye on those paints because Kimera Colors are very difficult to get where I live. On the paper, those seem to have similar properties, so I was thinking to give them a try when I start running out of Kimeras.
What is you opinion on Liquitex Acrylic Gouaches? I would really appreciate if you could briefly share it.
Regards,
Daniel
Hey Marco! I would love to see your take on Marvel Crisis Protocol figures if you're looking for any future video ideas.
As always great job, I want to know what you think about scythe board game any advice for paint??
MECHAS!
