What about babies that don’t like laying on their back/ doesn’t want to bring hips and knees up to get feet to mouth while on back. My baby loves tummy time.
My baby is born with a left sided MCA stroke, she has hemiplegic cerebral palsy diagnosis, what core exercises can help her with being able to have good tone? She can do 15 min of tummy time throughout the day which we are building up slowly.
You can do all of these exercises with her, and just focus a little more on strengthening the weak side and incorporate the exercise ball activities as she gets older. You can also work on strengthening her weak shoulder by shifting her onto that arm a little more in tummy time, putting a folded towel under the opposite arm to weight shift her to that side. Hope that helps!
My baby is 2 months and she has silent reflux. Can I start these excercises with her? And will they help with her reflux? Also how many minutes a day should we spend doing the excercises? Thank you
Yes you can definitely start them with her! I don't think they will necessarily help her reflux but core strength is important regardless. When doing tummy time activities try to use an exercise ball or a wedge if she seems too uncomfortable at first, sometimes kiddos with reflux don't like to be flat on their tummies. No specific amount of time per day, just try to incorporate them for a few minutes here and there. 10-30 minutes s day is a good start.
Thanks so much for sharing!💗

My son is one year two months but can't open his legs downwards to stand despite alot of occupational therapy. What exercise should I engage him in?
