  • The Chimera Short Ram Intake for the 2022 Honda Monkey 125 is finally out now! We linked up again with our boy Kevin at Steady Garage to go over the installation process step by step.
    SKU #: CH-1277
Direct bolt-on intake system that will allow your Monkey to breathe! Built in air snorkel that helps increase airflow! Unlike other intake kits on the market, the Chimera Short Ram Intake retains the OEM IAT sensor to get the most accurate reading. Will work perfectly with OEM or aftermarket exhaust systems.

Just installed on my 2023 monkey here in Thailand.. Thai spec don't have an IAT sensor so I just plugged the hole and works fine. Together with my yoshi pipe it breathes way better now 👌🏼

I installed mine few days ago and it touches the frame. There is no extra room there. As long as it doesn't fall off, I don't care.
Thanks for the video. It helped a lot!

Installed the Chimera short ram on a 2023 Honda Monkey and the bend touches the frame ( 9/16/2023 ). Honda must have changed he frame or injector on the 2023 Monkey. Do not want to relieve the frame or shorten the intake of the Chimera. It does touch the frame and very little clearance with the exhaust heat shield. What to do ? Remove the heat shield and make it lower, might try that. A shame they did not try this out on a 2023 before advertising it was for 2022+.

Do you need to change the exhaust due to more airflow?

Sorry of this is a dumb question, I'm not mechanically savvy. Does rain damage it?

You can use a filter wrap to repel water OR use a Sprint Filter waterproof air filter.

If doing the intake and exhaust which one do you recommend doing first

We recommend doing the intake first due to the cost, but if you have the budget, get both!

You should start making them and selling them if you can do it for less than 105

@@steadygarage This product does not really fit the 2023. Installed mine on 9/16/2023. The bend of the in take touches the frame with very little clearance of the heat shield. What to do. Cut the intake where it goes into the hose or cut the frame, neither is a good choice. Advertised as fitting 2022+. It is on the bike, but do not want to modify the frame. That would not take much. Where would I find matching paint ? Or, just hope the intake does not wear through ? Will try and removing the heat shield and rotating the tube downward. For $165.00 should not have to do that.
