Thank you for the video. Viewers - be warned. The intake clamp screw is a PRICK of a thing to get off and you will most likely strip it. Absolute nightmare.

    •  Před 3 lety

I wish I would have been prepared for this. I ended up drilling it out since you don’t need the screw/clamp for the new intake. I wasted like 40 minutes with that screw.

Honda doesn’t use standard #2 Phillips. They are JIS #2; Japanese Industrial Standard. Just saying they won’t cam out. Vessell tools makes the best ones, I’ve worked on them for 45+ years…😊

The IAT screw hole threads on it are litterally made of butter, buyer beware.
EDIT: I rma'd it and they sent me back an intake that has much better looking threads. May have been a bad batch or manufacturer error.

I have a through exhaust without a catalytic converter. If I install such an intake system with a cone filter, will the adjustment capabilities of the original ECU be enough? I am afraid that the mixture will be too lean as a result, let me know how it works in practice. second question, will the check light come on when I exceed a certain level of injection corrections?

Check engine light will come up no matter if you do all of that. ECUflash is needed after allowing more air in . Otherwise your monkey will run like shit . I did this and regretted so am just sticking with the yoshi exhaust only :(

no sir, as the sensors will do all little stuffs, unless you are doing some serious surgeries on the engine like: Camshaft, piston, bore n stroke, etc. That will take time to remap the ECU for it. And for older bikes that dont use too much electronic components it will be a lot easier to do with surgeries

Way too loud! The air intake sounds of this 125 engine seem to amplified by this metal pipe. Commuting on this bike requires high RPM running. The sound that this product produces at RPM drowns out all other sounds around you. I had installed a Takegawa exhaust system that has an awesome tone to it that I could no longer hear because of the intake noise. I tried to run with this intake system for a little over a week but I could not get used to it. I switched back to the sock air box and now have a much more enjoyable ride. That's what it's all about right? oh! and the wiring adapter to the IAT that comes with it is a total piece of crap. Extend your bikes own harness wires to the IAT sensor.
