  • In this video I explain how you can incorporate some of your larger sized art (or even photos) in your journal through scanned images or photos that can then be printed out into small enough sizes to fit in your journal. Then I demonstrate how you can decorate the background of the print and also create backgrounds you can write and journal on through distress oxide sprays and washi tape. This is basic information and many of you may not need it, but you still might enjoy watching me take some art too large to fit in my journal and converting it into something that can while creating backgrounds with the sprays. Others that are new to keeping a journal or even a scrapbook might find this information useful. The painting I demonstrate converting into a print is my "Struggle" painting. I printed it out on awagami/masa paper, which I fed directly into my printer feed without having to attach it to another paper. Some of you may not be familiar with awagami paper, but it is such a beautiful, high-quality paper that is not only useful for prints but for creating beautiful decorative papers and collage materials.
