  • 25th October 2021 - Before the Rain comes, I rode over from the Yorkshire Coast, via the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales into Cumbria to ride for the first time, The Old Coach Road. In this video I ride East to West and talk about the road and of course the Bike.

I live in Cumbria, I have driven over this a few times in my 2008 lifted jeep patriot last time was 2 months ago...I was just waiting to run in my 2021 Himalayan before i took it over, now it has 1800mls and well run in , its time to do it! basically on the perfect adventure bike which will go any where but a bit slower like a mountain goat 💪..i watched your vid Knowing exactly where you were on the trail and i 100% agree on the rocky descent down to Threlkeld is dicey 😊👍 i normally pull into the old quarry on the left for a chill out on the way down at 24:51 😁
good job on the himmy 💪 new sub 😁👍
to be honest any cam doesnt give justice to the last decent on the steepness and sump killing rocks you have to miss 😁

I have done this on an ETZ250 two up. It was hilarious.

Looks like a lovely ride. Good video to share the day. I've got a 2020 Himalayan in the states and love it.

That was invaluable for checking out that wee road, thanks. (Despite the horrible wind noise) :)
It looks pretty straightforward, no dramas. Can't imagine how rough it will be now though after the amount of rain that has just battered cumbria.

The rainfall has been pretty bad hasn't it, judging by the local news.

Great video thanks. I'm considering buying a Himalayan and this is exactly the kind of route I'd like to do on it. Looking at your other vids it looks like you have a few other routes around Yorkshire which will be local to me too. Subscribed. Cheers

Might bump into you! With some simple modifications, the Himalayan is a brilliant simple tool, nothing comes close for the money.

Great video and very informative! I was looking for something a bit mild to take the new AT. Used to ride this route many years ago on a MTB as a starter trail and loved it back then :)
