Although the current #VolvoXC90 has been around for about 5 years, the refreshed 2020 model still feels amazingly fresh despite its age. The #XC90T8 with its electrified plug in hybrid powertrain got a slightly bigger battery this year which now gives the #XC90 about 18 miles of EV only range. It still could use twice that amount, but if you are looking for one of the most comfortable, luxurious, and unique SUV's out there, the #Volvo is pretty hard to beat.

I wish you would show the Pilot Assist feature. When I drove an XC90 this year I loved that feature and it’s standard on every XC90 even the base model. It follows the car in front, stays in lane perfectly.

I have loved the XC90 since it first came out in 2002. Having owned more than one, it is truly one of the most important SUV's in modern times, and its always about safety. I would love to own one of these, T8's and I hope more people get a chance to experience how nice they are to spend time in, especially for long journeys. Truly a special car, and the new model for 2022 will surely be a great follow-up. Excellent review Mr. Bey!

With a super charger, a turbo charger, three electric motors, an adaptive air suspension, what could possibly go wrong? IMHO, the T8 is a car that I might lease, but I certainly wouldn't want to have anything to do ownership, because I suspect that long term this thing would eat you alive. And it wouldn't be in small little bites.

Yep leasing a T8 R design S60. But so far not a single issue and I’m averaging 64 mpg. And I drive in all electric mode as much as possible. Work and back which is around 45 miles round trip and I’m averaging 66mpg on a daily basis there. But it’s not the SUV and it’s a 2019 with a slightly smaller battery pack.

I love the XC90. I really believe it STILL has a better interior than the newer GLE, X5, and especially Q7. And when I say that, I'm speaking in detail about material use and overall design. Yes, Sensus needs an overhaul to catch up to the current infortainment trends, but overall execution is impeccable. That said, one thing Sofyan did not address in detail is the complexity of the XC90's powertrain. I think it is a technological marvel, and that poses huge benefits as well as potential pitfalls. It is supercharged, turbocharged, has THREE electric motors, and is AWD. My only concern is long-term reliability of all of those mechanical bits.

*Volvo did not get rid of the fog lights. They just don't put them on the T8 for whatever reason. All the other models have them. Also, this trend of endorsing larger and larger infotainment screens is stupid. It just forces you more to take your eyes off the road because of the unnecessary amount of clutter larger displays have. 9 inches is perfectly fine and the way it's laid out works. There is no reason to fix what isn't broken.

It's all about your personal expectations out of your vehicle, I worked at a dealer that had Lincoln and Volvo most people on the Volvo are all about safety for their family. But I personal agree the lincoln is a very nice suv.

Garreth Armstrong The price increases is mostly the consumers fault. We want all the tech humanly possible but that comes at a cost. We want all the luxury car features in lower end vehicles without a price increase. It’s just not possible. Used will always be the smart choice. No shame in buying used at all

The giant floor under the 3rd row means you really need to push your feet forward. You can ask the 2nd row occupant to pull their seat up but in the video it looks like the room there is already comfort challenged. That’s a really expensive 4 passenger plus one middle rear car seat vehicle. I’m just trying to imagine riding somewhere for 6-10 hours with nowhere to rest my arms... Manual steering column? Front wheels fighting for traction while another vehicle is closing in on you is not any idea of a good time. It does look good though. Even if you gave it to me I wouldn’t keep it. I’d trade it for sure!

Hand rest in 2nd row is a basic utility. Its surprising to see that Volvo designers missed that completely. If I am in a 3 row luxury SUV market, this will definitely a deal breaker for me!
