I always liked Kay but she was FAR more interesting in the early years as the needy, boozy scheming dowager then in the later years when she (inanely) became the wise, devoted businesswoman. "CEO Kay" was fine but didn't hold a candle to the moaning mess in this video.
I agree, this Kay is alot more fun to watch than "keen business minded Kay". Except in later years needy, boozy, scheming dowager would have gotten old for JC to play, and for the audience to believe. After Phillip was killed off Kay had to get her sh*t together, not only to be a foil to Jill, but to be believable to the audience - because, even in fiction, people will only put up with so much of this behavior before they stop rooting for you. My dad left my mom for my aunt (her brother's wife) and she never recovered from that, emotionally. She went through the motions of getting on with her life, mostly because she had bills to pay and a house to support. But she suffered from undiagnosed depression for the rest of her days - only no one wanted to hear how sad and devastated she still was because they had gotten over the shock of the situation and weren't interested in her angry, hurt tangents reliving what they considered "ancient" history. Whether you're talking real life or fiction, most people are only so invested in that kind of drama before they start to avoid you.
I agree, I loved Kay when she was a mess and a meddler always stirring the pot, torturer to Jill and Suzanne Lynch in addition she was the ultimate schemer that always prevailed in the end.
can someone please upload the entire scene before this where Kay signs the papers and says that there is no God. I loved this scene and it reminded me of ending my marriage as well.. It used to be on here and I miss it
The full scene was posted a few years ago, but has since been taken down. Phillip comes in to find a drunken Katherine and pleas with her to sign divorce papers. Katherine (calling Phillip's bluff) signs the papers, giving him ownership of the entire estate as well. Phillip takes the papers and walks out...this is aftermath.
Me when the alarm goes off in the morning
LOL classic. Loved these shows growing up.

What drove cat too drink jil running off with phillip sr
Kay, or "cat"... has been drinking LONG before Jill got into the picture. Part of why Phillip wanted out in the first place.
