Started watching Y&R for the very first time during the summer of 1981 and right before my junior year in high school and Jeanne Cooper was indeed an icon.

She portrayed a character for over 40 years, I met her once at a mall appearance and I am surprised how her death has had a huge affect on me. For over 30 years I have watched her and it feels like I lost a part of my own family. I still expect her to see her on the Chancellor set. God I miss her!!! I often think of this great Lady, Mrs. Chancellor, as I delve into fond memories of the past about my own now deceased Mother as she continuously glided throughout the whole of our household with her elegant, & long flowing gowns w/attached silkened and(or) velvety robes just looking and smelling like the richness of pure wealth indeed. 🙏😇🙏
And as for myself, I have long taken up that same mantle from BOTH of these beautiful Ladies and carried it forward in much the same manner as them..... 🙏☺️🙏🌹🙏💕🙏

You skipped my favorite part of her Emmy speech, when she opened up with "I bet you thought I was dead"! She had such an amazing wit!
She died, I never watched another episode. The first time I watched it, she was instantly my favorite character. Victor Newman was my 2nd most favorite character. Then, John Abbott.
